English author Keith Brumpton also illustrated this one.
It's also first in the Kung-fu pigs series.
Now... I was really looking forward to reading this one - am a fan of Brumpton's earlier books eg. The peeping duck gang series and Supermoo.
Hostages of the Jade Wolf isn't up to his usual funny standards.
Disapointing.
There were a few funny bits though, so it wasn't a complete loss.
Will get the second to see if it improves, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
All is not well in the village where brave
young would-be warrior Rinki dwells. His
neighbours have been kidnapped, and the
ransom note is sighned "yours criminally,
Jade Wolf". Rinki sets out to rescue the
hostages, but first he must brave the
dangers of travelling alone...
Luckily, Rinki encounters Dinki and Stinki
on his journey - brave pig warriors of the
Far East. Together, they form the Kung-Fu
Pigs - but can three little(ish) pigs defeat
big bad Jade Wolf and free the captives
from his evil clutches...?
Am rather looking forward to tomorrows entry as I've got a brilliant book to blah about!
Another by... Well, you'll just have to wait won't you.
Later.
That is if I do get in to work tomorrow.
I'm starting to feel rather ill.
Aching all over.
Coughing.
Another chest infection.
That started last weekend.
It's starting to affect me now.
Groan.
