Oookay.
Sixth in the Agaton Sax series by Nils-Olof Franzen.
A first in this one - the book starts with a character other than Agaton.
Well, it's Lispington, but this is a first.
Also it's gone into other characters telling the story a bit.
I don't think this happened in the earlier books.
Not that I can recall.

Poor Lispington is in trouble again. A series
of frauds is rocking the financial capitals of
Europe, and the press want to know what
action he proposes to take. Lispington is, as
usual, at a loss and has to call in his old
friend, Agaton Sax.

Things begin to happen. Agaton Sax and
Lispington, disguised as telephone engineers,
tap the phone of their old enemy, The Boss,
and discover that he is behind the frauds. All
they need to know is how he does it, and who
the mysterious 'Big Brother' is that everyone
keeps talking about.

The trail leads to the Boss's hideout in
Hampstead, where for a time things look
black for Lispington and Agaton Sax; blac
enough for everyone to despair except, of
course, Agaton, whose confidence in his own
ability to get out of tight spots is absolute.

Quentin Blake's drawings are, once again,
masterpieces of wit; highlighting the comedy
and characters in this racy detective story.

Anyhoo.
It's been pretty hot the last few days.
I'm working tomorrow, so you can expect another entry from moi the amazing idiot who just blah's on and on.
What book will I be going to talk about though?
Working today with Theresia, Sean, Alysa and Nellie.
Working tonight with Catherine.
That makes me ze person in charge.
Agh.
Oh well.
If something stupid happens Catherine won't dob...

End of May Advent children is being released in Australia!
End of this month Ghost in the shell 2 : Innocence is being released by Madman.
Also : finally after complaining and putting in request after request the library now has a small but rather good (not excellent mind you) manga collection!
Yay for our borrowers... and me!
Uh, also after requesting a few anime titles : they finally went out and bought Appleseed and Ghost in the shell.
All because of me.
Methinks they got sick of repeated paperwork being sent down.
Still haven't heard about the request for the 10 or so Bollywood/French DVD titles that I put in... a while ago?
Patience Daffey, patience.
Something else I have to be patient for : have two games on hold at one of the game shops I use (not the usual place unfortunately).
Next pay I may be able to say I've got Fire emblem : the path of radiance - GC and Harry Potter and the goblet of fire - PS2.
I could have gotten them yesterday, but as I am going to my fav bookstore in the universe tomorrow, I have to wait.
As I am not working as much I don't get paid an excellent amount.
Sigh.
It's just enough to pay bills with a little left over to buy manga.
Haven't bought any anime DVD's in quite a while.
There are a few titles that I need to get the last one or two in the series.
Oh well.
I enjoy (and in a strange way loathe) not being "on call" as much.
Even if it does mean not a good pay.
Am having excellent days, where I only get upset a few times.
What sets me off?
If I see a kitten or even a cat.
Even on the bloody television.
I hate television.
