I just noticed that when choosing colors for the journal they call it "colorized curvage" which is funny because I just got done with an assignment in photoshop where we had to colorize a black an white photo. At first we did it the hard way by selecting, saving selection, then painting over areas using a different layer on the multiply setting. This time we got to use masked layers of color curves, it was awesome, a hundred times easier than the other way. Though the other worked well for the assignment of trying to make 70's a B movie poster, the knew way actually made the images look realistic (depending on the skill of the artist). I think it is just funny how gaia has a program with the same name as such a neat colorizing system.
anyway, I woke up today at 11:30, I love saturdays I woke up to a phone call One of my friends was lost in the Twin Cities (as in did not think they had a map and missed their exit because of massive road construction and could not find an alternate route) I needed to wake up anyway hmmmm there are no maps in my house... I sit down at the computer and "open" the window tick tock tick tock I am chatting with my friend while they wonder the streets looking for their exit tick tock tick tock hmmmm did I not click on the internet icon? I click on it again and wait a little longer well I have been on the phone for over ten minutes and my friend is still lost I wonder if my computer will decide to load or not hmmmm things running in the corner of screen virus scan, smart defrage doy! *flat palms self* wait, why is my defrag still running, I thought I started it a few days ago? ahhhh this computer is so great yay my internet opened! my friend finally pulled over and they found a map in their car *flat palms self again* arrrrgh!
Well I guess I am glad that I have friends that feel they can depend on me, considering that I would have gotten them directions if they would have waited, it was just taking me a little longer than they liked so they gave up on me, I did everything in my power to get them the directions, so I guess I am not dependable then because I never did complete my task
well maybe I can be positive about at least getting to talk to my friend, considering I accidentally blew them off last night, In my defense, I did not have my cell phone on me, and they had no prior specification that they were going to start their game last night (in less they did and I just forgot)
I guess I really should keep my phone on me, I hate it when others forget to bring/turn on their phones
Other than that... Last night was awesome, we went to see "Coraline" in theaters, and it was very good, the ending was cool, and the 3D graphics were like nothing I had ever seen, but it is nothing in comparison to the "Nightmare Before Christmas," and the ending was not the greatest, but it was still a very good movie, also I am not sure that the rating is correct, because I do not think I would bring my kids to the movie, it had some very obscene parts xp Also there is another movie coming out by Tim Berton, which looked pretty cool, but corny, one of my friends is excited off their nut (but they always get really excited, like a little nut/child) It is a classic one man hero film (at least that is what I understand from the previews) but the effects and the monsters are very well done, just watching the trailer made me want to start drawing monsters of my own (but they would probably turn out way to much like the ones from the film, and that would be copyright issues)
Other thing that was fun, I got to play Rayman Raveing Rabbid's, which is a fun game, but it is so much better with friends I got to play my favorite games two player instead of one, like this one which is very similar to ddr but has only two buttons and the timing indicators are coming from opposite sides of the screen this is the game that I play the most, and yet one of my friends consistently kicked my butt at it, darn them and their playing of ddr
hmmm that reminds me, I had three people over, but I only played games with one of them, and completely ignored the other two X) ah, we had pizza, and it looked like they were having fun conversing
also I just got done with the book "Gamer Girl" it is cute, but so freaking corny, a definite chick flick, reminds me of the movie "Mean Girls" but it made me laugh and have other emotions (stupid writers and their ability to instill fabricated emotions) it was a good book
