I wrote this poem in the morning when I couldn't get back to sleep. For as long as I can remember I've always thought about my future marriage and the one guy who's going to complete my life. I'm still looking for him and think of him often (as you will see in this poem). So I couldn't sleep and words just popped in my head. So here it is.
I'm lying here awake thinking of you,
Of all the times that's we'll have
And the things that we'll do.
Like quoting movies or singing songs
We'll help people dance and move along
My one true love,
I haven't met you yet
Though I'm sure we will, when the timing is set
I don't know where you are or who you will be
But know that I love you for always and eternity.
One day we will be married in the temple so pure
I'll wear a white dress, that much am I sure
You'll have on a suit that you'll use all your life
But that day will be special when I become your wife
I think of you often when I am serene
And wonder when you get back from your mission so clean
I can't wait till the day that we finally meet
I'm sure it will be something of a real funny treat
I don't know you at all, as you can see
But know that this poem is for you more than it is for me.
