As they left, Skystep rose shakily to her paws. "Oh no you don't! Your staying right here!" Gingerdawn nudged Skystep back down on a nest of moss. "Well, you might as well listen to her,Skystep. I'll send Luna to you as soon as she and her Tribe get back." Skystep nodded to her leader as he left and sunk down to sleep. Shadowedsoul layed down beside her and began licking her head comfortingly. Reindeerpelt walked in and dropped off some fresh-kill for Gingerdawn,Featherfoot,and Sireneyes. "I might as well get you and me something. I'll be right back." Shadowedsoul rose to his paws and exited the den. "Your very lucky to have him,Skystep." Startled, Skystep looked up to see that Fyre hadn't left with the rest of Luna's tiny patrol. "Luna told me to stay behind and make sure you were alright." Fyre sat down beside Skystep and said,"You know, wolves and vampyres aren't that different from each other.We both hunt for our food. We both look up to our ancestors for guidenve. And we both come from the heart of the Goddess Nyx." Skystep remembered the Goddess. All wolves respected her and worshiped her as well their ancestors. It is said that all wolves come from Nyx, that as well as vampyres, wolves are Nyx's children. Anyway, Fyre was about to say something else when a large commotion came from the entrance to the Cave. Both Fyre and Skystep got up and went to see what was going on. Mountainboulder, a large gray/brown wolf, was blocking the entrance. Luna and her Tribe was trying to come in. "Your not coming in, you filthy vampyres.",Mountainboulder snarled at Luna. Massivestar must have heard the commotion, for he came out of his den and stepped in front of Mountainboulder and stared menacingly at him. "Mountainboulder, I didn't give you orders to block our friends from coming in, did I?" Mountainboulder snarled at his leader,"FRIENDS?! These filthy creatures aren't my friends. I don't know what you are thinking, letting them come into our home." Massivestar flicked his tail at Fernheart and Freespirit, and said," Would you two please escort Mountainboulder to my den. I'm going to have a little talk with him." Freespirit and Fernheart nodded loyaly at their leader and lead Mountainboulder to Massivestar's den. Massivestar turned back to Luna and smiled at her with a look of apollogy in his eyes. "I'm sorry about Mountainboulder's behavior. He has been acting very strange lately." Luna nodded her head knowingly. "Its okay,Massivestar. Warriors will be warriors." Luna winked secretly in Skystep and Fyre's direction. Massivestar turned to the rest of his Clan and addressed them. "You all heard about the attack on our friends from the Tribe of Vampyres earlier today. A massive, falcon like shadow creature attacked Gretchen and Erin. Thanks to Skystep's quick thinking, both vampyres were rescued. It isn't safe for the Tribe to stay in their own territory, for the creature was heading straight toward it. They will be staying with us until we have dealt with this new threat. Meeting over, lets have some fresh-kill." Massivestar turned toward his den to deal with Mountainboulder. Skystep lead Fyre to where he will be sleeping. It was a small,cozy cave. She said,"Me and my sister used to always come in here and play and practice our fighting moves. I hope you'll feel comfortable here." Fyre nodded gratefully. "Let me go get my sleeping bag. You see, vampyres don't sleep in nests of moss, no offense." Skystep smiled at him.
