Got a lovely pile of manga. Mine all mine!
Finally got a DS and Mario 64 DS. 3nodding
Am currently sitting here in the cold (air conditioning not working?) and am floating along fueled by allergy tablets.
Rather tired.
So anyway, to manga.
X/1999 1-3 & 5 (4 didn't come for some reason crying )

Had Strangers in paradise pocket book 1 on order, got a call last week.
When I went in today I discovered that it was the wrong one. It was a much thinner volume and only a couple of the issues were contained within it's flimsy covers...
I had to re-order. crying
Also picked up my laybe : Boktai 2 (GBA)
Wanted to get Infinite rivyius 3, but someone had beaten me too it. crying
Put an order in for Blame 1 and Ragnarok 10 as well.
Wonder how long they will take to come in. stare
(I needs me fix!!!)
Had to get a Seretide today and my weekly ticket.
What's left is for bills.
Ohhhh. Me so tired. Me wanna go home...
Had a really bad night. Couldn't sleep. Nightmares.
I think I also lay awake for over an hour just trying to get to sleep.
Sigh.

Thinking about the way my Mother behaves.
She's got a problem with physical intimacy ie. hugs and kisses (even from her grandchildren).
Does she look at us and see us as the children she couldn't protect from...
I mean, she couldn't even protect herself from that b*****d.
I was with her when she went to the police station - covered in bruises and blood.
I sat there while they said that they couldn't do anything to help her.
Okay - this was the 1970's-early 1980's.
The cops did not have power to arrest abusive partners.
I shouldn't be so hard on the police officers that my mother spoke to years ago.
At least to their credit, they had the grace to wince and look worried.
And the night she actually rang them because the b*****d had a knife and was threatening to kill her.
All they did was come and talk to him. He had the knife under his pillow (I was witness to the police coming - top bunk of bed etc.) and he lay there and let them take the knife away. Didn't say a damn thing to them.
What would have stopped him from going and getting another knife?
(These things happened when we were living in Petersham...)
Actually the only intelligent thing that they suggested to my mother was to get out. Go to a women's refuge.
She did that a few times, but always went back... (Stupid stupid stupid!!!!!!!!!!)
Whatever.
Anyway, our mother has passed on this problem about intimacy on to her offspring.
Brooke and Adam are always trying to hug/kiss me.
I'm always pushing them away.
eg. Brooke was trying to kiss me on the cheek a few weeks ago, and I said (biting the air) "I'll bite you!"
So what happened when she tried?
I bit her on the nose. This was an accident, and I was very embarrassed that I had inadvertantly carried out my threat.
