Anything and everything, won't be daily, could be a load of rubbish...
Friday - Holy cow!
This one is a travel/biography by Sarah Macdonald.
Aussie author travels to India for the second time (after vowing to NEVER return to the place ten years previously).
Very funny!

'Well, madam, I will tell you one thing. You are back in India
for a good shaking. Here you will dance with death and be
reborn. You will be a chamelion of karma...'

After backpacking her way around India, Sarah Macdonald
decides she hates the country with a passion. When a beggar at the
airport reads her palm and insists she will one day return - and for
love - she screams 'Never!' and gives the country, and him, the finger.

But eleven years later, the prophecy comes true. When the love of
Sarah's life is posted to India, she quits her dream job as a national
radio presenter to follow him to the most polluted city on earth,
New Delhi. It seems like the ultimate sacrifice for love and it almost
kills her - literaly.

One dank, smoggy night, a naked sadhu smeared in human ashes
curses Sarah and she falls dangerously ill with double pneumonia.
She defeats death, but not before facing some serious questions
about her own fragile mortality and inner spiritual void, not to mention
some unsightly hair loss.

It's enough to drive a rapidy balding atheist to drastic action
- in this case a wild journey of discovery through India in search of
the meaning of life and death. And with the help of the Dalai Lama,
a goddess of healing hugs and a couple of Bollywood stars -
among many, many others - Sarah discovers a hell of a lot more.

Often hilarious, sometimes hair-raising and always entertaining,
Holy Cow is a rollercoaster ride through a land of chaos and
contradiction, from spiritual retreats and crumbling nirvanas to war
zones and New Delhi nighclubs, that only a woman on a mission
to save her soul, her love life - and her sanity - can survive.

18th of August!!! Anna Ciddor is coming to my library!!!
Another author to add to the list???
I did go to Kinokuniya yesterday... but i thought it may be disrespectful to talk about books and stuff when the entry was (mainly) about Uncle Ron.
Germ may go up to see him before he dies, Melody really wants to go - she'll take Adam. Probably just to get him to see him again. But knowing Melody she's going to use this opportunity to show Adam that death is nothing to be afraid of.
So anyway : am going back to Kinokuniya tonight to get another pile of manga.
What did I buy yesterday? (and what is Bigbird grumbling about?)
Demon diary 2, 5 & 7, Fullmetal alchemist 1 heart , Hana-Kimi 4-6, Immortal Rain 2, 3 & 5, Cardcaptor Sakura 1 & 2, Ranma 1/2 11 & 12, Crescent moon 1 and Wish 3. Also got Final fantasy unlimited 5 and Witch hunter Robin 4.
So I've got two more of Ffu to get and 3? more of Witch hunter Robin.
The price of those two DVD's could have gotten me 5 or 6 more manga's... crying . But I wanna finish the series.
Sigh... I've been stuck into the caffeinated drinks again!
I've just done this whole one person act - meaning that I did all the talking.
This is what started it all.
Scott is looking very worried.
"What's wrong Scott?"
Scott : "N n nothings wrong."
(I ignore him)
"What's that? Sonny's in the well?! Good girl Lassie!"
or did I say "Good girl Skip!"?
Skip = Skippy to all that are not familiar with Aussie televistion.
ie. Skippy the bush kangaroo. Whatever.
Skip is also a (derogatory) slang word for describing an Anglo-Celtic Australian. ie. A white person. I think...
Corinne just looked at me all puzzled and Scott shakes his head... sweatdrop
