I still have a lot of work to do with the horse; apparently it thinks that it doesn't want to do four pivots for me in a row. And the patterns have turned out to be quite complex and very difficult to memorize; you have to have the whole thing in your head by the time you enter the arena.
On another topic (also having to do with horses), my beloved horsy has developed a serious illness... The poor guy; he has what they call Founder in all four of his feet.
*Note
Founder: When the thing called the Laminate in side the hoof dies and starts to rot away, the laminate is like Velcro; it's what keeps the hoof to the horse's foot. When that began to happen a bone called the Coffin Bone began to rotate, it tries to pierce the hoof and come out of the bottom. Although its not to the point where he can't walk anymore he is still in a lot of pain and is stiff when he walks. I don't think we are going to have to put him down (Like I ever would!), but whatever damage has been done by now- he will have for the rest of his life once he actually gets over the Founder.
But the worst part about the whole thing is that it wasn't even something that I did that caused him to Founder. According to the Vet, Jess (my horse) has had Founder before, even before I owned him. So it was because of something some shuck that did wrong something, realized his mistake, and then sold the horse off to someone else to deal with the pain, bills, and stress! Unfortunately the 'someone else' in this story was me... But I wouldn't trade Jess away for all the money in the world!
