well, I am at work right now. It's just after 2:30 in the morning. I am still a little nervous, but I think I got the basics figured out. I know how to use the two different compy programs now (just have to figure out who I am needing to look up).
And I really need to figure out where the different areas are in the Hospital to give people directions, and what Departments to put callers through to. Oh, and I have to learn all these weird doctors' names... hard to spell, most of 'em. But everyone I have met (Security Guards and other Switchboard gals, no hot Doctors stare ) seems really nice.
I also apparently have to work on increasing my Tim Horton's coffee capacity again. One large cappucino from there and one large coffee puts me way behind the other two gals here... but I don't want to get so twitchy that I can't learn. And, I DO need to sleep, coz I got 2 more 12 hour graveyard shifts to go after this one (of which I have about 4 hrs left to go).
Well, I oughta go, have reading to do. Must learn, do well, excell and get lotsa hours and moola!
biggrin

Well, this is pretty much whatever comes to mind, so expect incoherency.

I am still really worried about doing well, but my co-workers say I am doing fine. Whew! Went on a little tour of the Hospital w/ one gal, so now I am a little more sure where things are - got same tour on my first day, but that was before I knew ANYTHING so it didn't really stick. They have a little staff gym in the basement, membership is very reasonable - might start that soon, too.
They say tomorrow they are going to quiz me. Eep. I am going to have trouble w/ the code procedures, I know - but there is only so much a person can register in a shift and then things start running together.
