English author Cherry Whytock.
She also illustrated and did the cover.
Ooookay.
This book is aimed at girls.
Youngish, prob 7-13 or so.
Why the hell did I pick this one up?
Because it's the first in the Fizzy pink series.
Ugh.
Thought I'd give it a go - you know - readers advisory and all that jazz, but don't think I'll be able to finish it.
The main character - Fizzy is... insipid?
Whatever.
(Later)
Okay, just keep repeating "This is a children's book" over and over.
You get the idea.
It's not all that bad, got some stupid lessons about telling lies and all that.
I still don't particularly like the character or the author!
Name : Fizzy Pink
Age : Nearly 10!
Favourite things : Lots of glamouroony
sparkle and my bulldog, Petal
Yucky things : The Splat (my baby
brother) throwing food in my hair
- DISGUSTEROUS! My dad singing in
public - BLUSHIFYING! DULL, DULL,
DEADLY DULL school uniform
My bestest friend : Pixie. She has a pet
snake - FRIDGEY COOL!
But now I've moved away I'm going to have
to write her letters with ALL my secrets.
And they're in this book!
Was having a nice day until someone who's name I will not mention made me feel bloody awful with comments that were absolutely unneccesary.
And I now have to work 1-9 tomorrow instead of 1-5.
Trish is sick.
Groan.
