♥ If my heart had a face...  I'm trying to do jeans, but whenever I do them, they just look like blue sweatpants. How do I color and shade them so they look like denim jeans? ._....it would be smiling. ♥

Well unlike Sweatpants, Jeans are tough and cardboardy~
You can either have baggy jeans with lots of fold~
Hippy like jeans which takes your shape except at the end Or they just take the shape.
As for shading, I guess you just don't make it smooth. Use greys and greyish blues really. I'm wearing jeans now xD~
Oh yeah lot of creases You know when the knee bends and on the otherside you see lots of folds well they can show up a bit ^_^~
If that didn't help well I tried.
I don't do much jeans in edits xD

if you have photoshop use a bit of noise
filter->noise-> add noise
for jeans when I made a one right XD
I took the basic color then shaded it with a grey, a bit where its darker -a bit- then make copys of the layers then merge the copied ones together then add the noise, after that you can use the burn and dodge tool.
or grey and change the flow and such thats what I did with this edit
