Dear Guild Members,
Look, I rarely do this. Actually, I never do this. I'm not really the type of person who calls for things of a group of people. Usually, if I feel the occasion calls for it, I'll PM a few people alerting them to a new poem or something, but basically let the people who really want to post, post--this way I get a lot less spam, and, at least in the past, a lot more feedback.
But I'm noticing a certain trend in the Writer's Corner where the same few people post regularly--myself among them--and while it is good to have regulars for constant, stable feedback, I'm concerned that it isn't always...fresh. I wonder sometimes if I'm the only one ghosting through an abandoned sub-forum.
The truth is, I love critiques. I love feedback. I love praise, too, yes, and I would love to see more faces in the Writer's Corner. If you have something to share, be it a story, or a poem, or a personal thought about something, please, do so. And if not, and you are just wanting to read something entertaining, or interesting, or thoughtful, well, we have plenty of that too. All relevant comments are welcome--no, invited.
Sincerely, Love and Vale, ~Leavaros Dapple

I go through the subforum and read some of the writing that I find interesting, but most of the time I don't have anything to say. Maybe I should just try posting "Read" in all the threads I read so people know they have a reader XP

At the very least, you could say whether or not you liked it, and what you liked/didn't about it. -LD

I usually read them all... But rarely have time to write a critique on every single one. I probably should... But I'm a crew member in two other guilds and I take the job seriously. I have to look at EVERY new post in three guilds to make sure everything is running smoothly. On top of a lot of other duties. If I don't get to posting a reply... Don't take it personally. Just keep writing.

I find a lot of the formatting in the writer's corner makes it difficult to read and review writing -- a lot of things just get posted as blocks of text. neutral
When I have time, I do read and critique things I find there. If I read something, I leave feedback; I just don't always have time to read.

Sorry Leavaros, I have been gone for a while, but when I'm here I usually read anything new and leave a reply. I quit coming to the guild for a while so I could work on my writing and to take a better look at some of the work I had already done.

ah yes, please do join in, I'm one of the few he mentioned that does post. It's quite fun to get feedback from more than just a few people, also there are contests, i believe, CM mentioned she wouldn't mind a Best Prologue contest, though she wouldn't be able to be the main creator, just PM her or another crew member (not me) if you want to hold a contest just to let them know what is going on and to get approval.
Also, to CM, i think we can all agree that you're excused from the more posts thing, i mean you try to post when you are on, plus you did create this guild after all.

Amethist Jewelz Sorry Leavaros, I have been gone for a while, but when I'm here I usually read anything new and leave a reply. I quit coming to the guild for a while so I could work on my writing and to take a better look at some of the work I had already done. No problem, Amelz! I'm just glad you're back. (I take periodic breaks to reassess as well, so you're in good company here.) Love and Vale, -LD

i feel like bumping this thread for more publicity. C'mon i know there's the main forum and everything, but, there are other sub forums that need attention too. rofl There's an ongoing debate about love in the writers corner (sorry if you don't see it as a debate LD, but thats what i think it is) if you go here you can post your thoughts on the topic

Agreed! I'll try to read more of everyone's stuff as well, even though I'm pretty new to this guild. I think joining FSFBG has rekindled my interest in helping other authors with their work.
Even if you have nothing to say about someone's work, an author appreciates a 1-10 rating, or even a simple "Nice work" to let them know you're interested. There's nothing more discouraging that thinking that no one has cared enough to look over your work.
