Well, guys, I've got some bad news. Turns out within our little communities of magick and craft, occult and other worlds, of paranormal and otherkin, there are some people. And these people are not good people. There are liars and posers, con artists and cult leaders, greedy manipulators in it for their own gain. There are sadists and abusers, those charmers who suck you in and drain the life from you. There are violators, and those who invade the body to sicken the soul. Disgusting masses of half-humanity.
What are we to do? What does this mean?
How can you protect yourself and others from these people, and remove them from circulation? How do you determine lie from truth and fiction from reality?
And what about these people? Are they just to be expected, a part of life? Are they present in all corners of life? Are they especially to blame for taking advantage of a possibly more vulnerable group?

Awwww....Don't hate on the Sadists ;_;....we're good people, we just get adrenaline rushes (and sometimes sexual rushes xD ) from hurting people lol. Personally it comes from hurting the "bad apples" you mentioned. "Disgusting masses of half-humanity. " I absolutely love the way you worded that....also would be "pathetic waste of flesh". What are we to do? Easy, get rid of them, crucify (lawl, bad choice of words?) them and get the most pleasure out of it that we can. We make those who lie and betray suffer for their crimes, equivalence and balance for their wrongdoings is a must I say. How can we protect ourselves from these people? Easy. How can we remove these people? Well...sadly laws don't allow us to hunt them down and viciously slaughter them, so the only thing we CAN do is use the almighty Ban button. How do you determine lie from truth and fiction from reality? Well I have two answers to that: 1. Reality is something that doesn't go away when you stop believing in it. 2. You're gonna LOVE this one Josh lol: Joshua_Ritter Chaos Magician, bitches.
Nothing is true unless I say it is. Nothing is false unless you prove it wrong. But how do you prove it wrong with something true?
Just give up. These people are just a part of life, why are they just a part of life? BECAUSE WE LET THEM BE! Why is money so important? Because we make it important. Why are words so powerful? Because we give them power. Same for these people who amount to worthless scum, are they a part of life? Yes, do they have to be? No.

^ ^ I'm not talking sexual sadists so much as genuinely abusive people. I can dig the leather and spanking boards just fine.
Nice quoting me, you get extra brown-nosing points.
So basically use your common sense and we can get rid of all these guys?

Just, causing physical pain in general = physical/mental/spiritual rush =P. Lol well it IS a quote I've been saving and used it in a few places so far =P. Yep, just common sense and logic ^^.

Well then. What about their guilt? Are they just a part of life, as present here, is it easier to take advantage of community members, thus making the evildoers especially wicked?

Mmmm...spanking boards *is somewhat masochistic*
Ahem...I've been practicing paganism for awhile and I can't tell you how many times I've been embarassed because some wacko is doing something dumb while screaming 'ZOMG PAGAN BORN!' at the top of his cocaine infested lungs.
In the pagan front, both online and offline, there are a fair amount of people who make pagans in general look bad. Whether they are some crazy wanna-pires, fluffly bunnies, dirty slimey hippies, or cult leaders, they make us look bad. This trend of idiots seems to extend in pretty much everything.
The problem is that most people already have a shakey view (if they have one at all) of metaphysics as a whole. So when they see DragonFlower Raydance and her armada of pot-smoking teenagers, the image gets trashed even more.
What I do is make a clear distinction between what I do and what they do. I am the shining example. I pretty much steer clear of the rotten pears and use logic and common sense to explain why I'm not like them.
Unfortuneatly, that doesn't make those sickly bananas go away. They seem to crave attention and because of their stupidity, someone somewhere will give it to them. While ignoring them would help, not everyone to subscribe to such things.
It seems that once again, a 2x4 to the face is the best option for these individuals.

You could give me a .45, their home addresses, and prepare the party for the time after I do the deed?

And I don't fancy paying $600 for a crappy Czech 9mm.

You wouldn't need a gun, just some sort of large club-like object. Blunt-force trauma can be a beautiful thing, you know.

I wonder what it says about me that my introduction to metaphysics was through one of these people.
And that the same person was my mentor for a year or more.
And that all hatred aside, I can't help but think of him as one of my best friends, although I rarely talk to him anymore.
I never could tell lie from truth with this one. I really don't know if there's a way to protect from some of the more powerful ones until after you're lost.
But I do know how to separate fiction from reality. Spend time isolated from the person, and what they've told you will begin to unravel.

Khalida Nyoka Use your hands... the popping and cracking* is so much more... close... when you do it with your bare hands... *popping and cracking of bones A gun leaves less fingerprints. Oh, and it's horrible to break people's bones personally. Believe me, feeling someone's fingers pop in your hand as you disarm them is not something you ever want to do twice.
