Barton West Field More a park than a field, this quaint stretch of path towards Aekea features a little garden and a serenity pond filled with koi, so you can sit and watch the fish swim in circles all day long.

All of the grass, flowers, dirt, and bushes in a straight line from the west side of the Barton Field to the eastern side leading towards the West Gate would be discovered to have been torn up by a mighty force the next day.
Leading authorities suspect that it might have been the work of Falicians saving the world again.

Fresh air. That helped. Granted, the air didn't like him just then, but he liked it. Just trying to relax again, Kalis forced himself to keep the speed down so the samurai man on the back of his motor bike wouldn't fall off. He was probably just going to find the man a room somewhere, pay for the night, and leave. Well, leave after he got clean.
He wanted to be somewhat cleaner than he currently was. Yeah...

Leaving a stench behind him that grew fainter through the field, then, oddly, stronger again, Kalis headed toward Barton. The classic stop by-point, it was the gate to anywhere and everyone on the Gaian hub, and what's more, cheap rooms for all the sorts of adventurers who paid with everything from credit cards, gold coins, paper bills, to less than legitimate services for rooms.
Breakfast would hit the spot too, but he was more interested in cleanliness and a little rest.
Not much of an appetite, just then. Being covered in water that smelled of fecal matter would do that to you.

Jacknife swaggered through the field with his hands behind his tilted back head. His smiling face was drenched in sunlight. It was a nice day. Something smelled pretty rank though. Like someone had walked through this field covered in s**t.

He stopped by the small pool to play with the Koi briefly. The fish seemed to not even notice his finger in the water. Perhaps he had the same effect on fish as he did on people. He looked up. Strange that the knight would notice him, most people didn't when he was using his Blend ability. Perhaps this knight had some kind of magical skills.
Jacknife stood and turned to the knight. "Greetings sir knight." He said, still grinning as his Blend dropped.

"Are you mocking me?" the knight bellowed, lowering his lance. "You cur!"
Looking at the knight, Jacknife would sense the presence of a marble. The knight clicked a button on the motor of the lance, and the blades began to spin. Faster, and faster, and faster.
Drill-meat grinder-lance.

"Damnit jack!" Zen called out to his partner as he chased behind him. Actually he was chasing behind a knight that Jack failed to notice was chasing him, Zen finally caught up and rolled passed the knight to avoid getting attacked. "Jack, I told you to wait for me you b*****d. You didn't notice your knight in shinng armor chasing you?"

Why did knights always want to fight with him? He tried to be polite, but they always seemed to take it as a challenge. Well, at least this one had legs. "No, I wasn't mocking you." Jacknife said in a somewhat less jovial tone. Perhaps he should become a bit more surly and mean, then people wouldent think he was mocking them so much.
Jacknife shrugged at Zen. "I'm not used to being chased by knights." He said.
"I suppose you're going to challenge me to a fight now or something?" He called to the knight.

It was an unusual lance composed of three blades wrapping around each other, with a--was that a motor?--yes, a motor at the bottom of the handle. And the blades were spinning now, quite quickly, quite deadly-like. Contact of any sort with this thing was not recommended.
"Bloody fool! Don't you know who you're talking to?" the knight cried out. "I am Hedan, Lord of the Unspoken!"
