Durem Reclamation Facility Like a big square swimming pool in the middle of the path, the facility blocks the road Travelling between Barton Town and Durem. A strange breed of fish have taken residence in the facility, making Durem a great place to find sushi and a bad place to eat it. At almost any hour, one can find random Gaians casting lines into the water, hoping to find a much-sought after feces-eating fish.

And the lass continued wandering through, shooting at whatever caught her eye.

XxCloudStrife666xX was a nice enough guy for a chatter box whore. All calm and contently sitting beside the facility water fishing for that Diamondback Lion he so wanted.
Chances are he never expected the horrible accident that would claim both of his legs, an eye, one arm, and his ability to speak when he got ran off by the fastest go-cart to ever exist. He was not even able to catch a single view of the cart or the person driving it.
He could never go outside again even with his injuries, for fear of 'God striking him again'.

arrow From Durem Main Gate.
Something was up, but that wasn't exactly new.
Kalis was out in the open, and it was time to start looking for where the s**t was going down.
Because boredom kills. Seriously. Bored people kill things.
Beware.

And there opaj stood, near the edge of the water, his back to Kalis.
And he had a marble.

He slowed the bike down.
Now, ever since this thing had started, there'd been that funny sense. Kalis could tell this guy had something. Did he want to hurt him? No. But those thingies were dangerous. He thought. Someone said something like that. Marbles were making things kill things? Sounded right. Maybe.
Anyhow, Kalis didn't know the man, but he had one.
He might have been armed, but... that might just mean if he went nutso he'd be all the more dangerous than your usual person. Kalis was used to having to claw himself away from the danger of going berserk, so he was pretty confident that he wouldn't fall to a couple of mind-hacking toys.
Besides. Owle was probably a better mind-hacker than some glass plaything. She could always debug him if something went wrong.
Right?
...
Right.
He killed the gas and stopped the motor cycle, kicking out the stand and looking at the man by the water. After a moment, he put the goggles up.
"Hey, you okay there, sir?" he raised his voice to carry over, stepping away from the bike and tucking his hands into his pockets.
Maybe he could just let the guy know how dangerous those were and he'd give it to him.
That's right. Positive thinking. Positive thinking was good.

opaj's head turned to look at Kalis, his pupils tiny dots in the middle of his eyes. He gripped the hilt of one of the two katana at his side, sliding it quickly from its sheath.
"I will not allow you to hurt her." Turning to face the water, he dipped the tip of his blade into the surface.
"Suisashi!" His arm shot out, and a blade of water raced at Kalis.

"Who-"
Kalis' eyes went wide, and he pulled that new fad dodge of falling on your a**.
Luckily, he had enough distance that falling over, and flipping onto his side, rolling away clumsily due to the large sword over his back, should put him out of the way of said projectile.
He stopped his roll hard, slamming a hand on the ground and thrusting up, going quickly onto his feet again.
Immediately, he reached to draw his long sword.
-this guy's bonkers already!
The idea was simple- he just had to watch for the guy's next move and then close the distance, put his lights out, and take the thing. Hopefully he wouldn't have to do more than put his lights out. Killing a guy who probably wasn't all that bad on his own... it was preferably avoided.

In a flash, opaj's blade dipped into the water, and again he sent a blade of it Kalis' way.
He held the blade in his left hand, his right hand held to his side by the second, unsheathed katana.

A blade made of water? So that's what he was-
"Shiiiii-"
Kalis ducked low, scrambling on all fours under the trajectory of the blade, if it was a horizontal slash, or to the side and forward if it was vertical or tilted. He charged headlong at the man, trying to cover the distance quick as he pulled out the four foot blade, putting it back over his shoulder in the classic "my weapon is way too heavy to be used" position, regardless of the fact that his was quite perfect.
His blade was going to have more length on it than some katana, and so that was the idea- get too close for magic-show tricks, and smack that thing out of his hands.
Then... erm...
Oh, hell, like he ever really planned anything ahead of time anyway.

opaj sent another blade Kalis' way before the man completely closed the distance, his free hand gripping the hilt of his remaining weapon.

Kalis continued the rush, desperately swinging his sword at the one coming at him, much less time to deal with a projectile as he was almost in melee. And then...
Something happened, and he felt light. All of a sudden, he felt weak, his gauntlets and greaves felt heavy, and the sword-
If the water blade split and bits kept going, Kalis was bound to bear a few cuts from it, but most would have been absored. That slash had been coming up into a second as he neared melee, but all of a sudden- it was too heavy to hold.
Spinning wildly the sword flew at opaj's torso level, followed by a flailing and stumbling Kalis, likely, on his current course, to slam straight into the man and knock him back into the water just be virtue of momentum and body weight. Consider, the samurai man was probably going to be all tied up at that moment dealing with a full weight hand-and-a-half sword flying at his middle.
-the hell?
Luck? Maybe. But maybe not so much. It might be hard to swim in this condition if Kalis fell in too.
