West Gate Not a gate so much as an arch in the stone walls that surround Barton Town, the road to Durem runs through here.

The gate managed to avoid the disaster that struck Gaia this day because of one very important factor.
Tweak finally started applying pressure to the break. Not break-neck mind you, he at least knew enough to not slam them to a total stop. This did not mean that they were slowing down at all.
"Angel, just so you know before we die, your a mean women." gonk
And despite the pressure on the breaks the party continued flying off towards Barton Hospital, oh lawd.

Still in wandering mode, Brody would cruise up to the gate, looking for any form of guards.

Seeing no guard worth mentioning, Brody would pull through the gate and turn right-ish, inevitably towards the hospital. Noticing the mark on his hand start to act up, he would keep going. It wasn't like there would be much he could do.

There wasn't a lot to get into. Kalis was no longer struggling to keep himself slow enough not to drop opaj on the ground somewhere. Rather, he was just cruising along slowly, watching as nearing civilization added obstacles and obstructions. It was a good thing he was going slow, but that slow speed was starting to make him groggy, and that wasn't so good.
Of course... he could always just go to sleep, no one would see his eyes shut behind the goggles... but he might ram into a police officer. That might get a ticket too.
Or... something.
No. Better to stay awake. Probably.

There were a lot of places to go in the city, but not a lot of them that were immediately helpful. He didn't care for the vampirey types, or the people that had about five different halves. They were all just... wierd. Not bad as people, but hanging out in a crowd, much less sleeping in a building, where most of the patrons would label him as lunch? Not his thing.
He was already running down a mental checklist of places that would probably have less than a 50/50 chance of something trying to kill him, challenge him to a fight, or burst into song and random romantic hijinks out in public.
It wasn't a very long list.

Jacknife once again became just a face in the crowd. Walking around unnoticed was the best way to avoid unwanted attention. It was also a good way to sneak up on people and take them out before they realized what was happening.

He passed under the gate and stepped off the streets into the Barton West Field. He had not been to Durem in a while, and he wondered how Moria was doing.

Yes, a knight stepped out in front of Jacknife.
"Hold it right there," the knight's voice boomed. Full plate armor, gleaming in the sun, and an unusual lance composed of three blades wrapping around each other, with a--was that a motor?--yes, a motor at the bottom of the handle.

The sound of a Humvee engine reached the ears of those warding the gate...soft at first, but rapidly crescendoing into a deafening roar as it came closer. Three rugged individuals claimed their seats in that vehicle...three Marble bearers intent on finding some action.

-Coming out of the fields-
The sky began to fill with grey overcast as the military grade humvy passed beneath the arc. Sieg pressed the button near the cars radio to lift up the roof of the open air vehicle as the rain would soon be passing down. He could smell the tale-tale scent of coming percipitation. He would drive towards old barton, he struggled to remember the directions to the channel five news station.
