okay i have a question..
at the last time i saw more often minishops like that "cheap graphics, cheap banners, cheap cheap cheap" . hello? it cant be! is it "in" to be CHEAP ?? in my eyes it ISNT nice to give the graphic shops such an bad name! its not good for all designer which make quallity work - but nobody want to pay more for it because the people think: oh its easy to create graphics and there are so many CHEAP graphic shops so we dont want to pay for quallity!

Hmm... I think I understand you. I mean, it's nice when people give art away for free, or for really cheap, but the talented artists should be selling their art for what it's worth. Otherwise other people will never get their art sold because we are of "too high price". It sucks. My shop needs more exposure though, not many people have bought things.

the new graphics shop im doing now im selling cheap but i put my best effort into ALL my sigs. Im not gonna half a** any of it. I think that when people make shitty products it's disgraceful.
I hate the fact that a person would more willingly buy a cheesy half assed piece of graphics when you can buy something of more quality.

You get what you pay for. Some people don't feel like spending 3,000+ for an animated banner when they could get one for 900g somewhere else. I find it's easier to learn how to make your own. I did that, and opened my own shop. My shop gives people the option to choose how much their banner should be priced at, but if their offer is too low, I'll still raise it. Though I am a bit generous...

well some people arnt that good, maby they somtimes just naturally suck, im not sticking up for em or anything but not everone can make cool sig's, i mean mines arnt all that great, but its the thought that counts right?

Even though, art that one person thinks is crap, another person thinks is amazing. For example, I love the things I do and hopefully my customers do too, but there will be people out there that think my work is horrible.

Honestly, I could raise my prices a bit for my extremely simple ID Cards that I make.. ._.; I joined Gaia over 2 years ago, and back then, gold was a bit harder to come by compared to now.. And I've never really gotten around to raising the prices or anything.. since I don't get that much customers anyway. But since then, my prices have been the same. 100 gold for the ID Card, 25 additional gold for a custom background image.
Of course, these ID Cards were originally created for my Sci-Fi RP group, in a thread out in the forums, since back then, there weren't even guilds to keep n00blets out from messing up the guilds. Thus I made my ID Cards a requirement to RP back then. ._.

Well, I give out my art for free, but it's more of a random thing.
I don't have a shop, so I guess it's alright?
I mean, I'm not taking anything away...
I just like to make banners for people's quests and all.

My shop names are the best ever.
I hate all the shops that have ridiculous names like "soft lullabys beautiful serene wonderment"
Which is why I use memes and amusing famous lines and songs to catch peoples interest and make them funny.
Also, I am not cheap. Unless you count 100K+ as cheap, for a profile mind.

I tend to have TERRIBLE name choices.
Like , my current shop name is Graphate Designs.
I was looking at a Graphite Pencil at the time.
xDDD
Anyways, I sell custom profiles, so I don't care about other peoples prices.
I set my prices equivalent to the labor.

its totally understandable about the prices and stuff but i have a free banner shop and i only have it because it helps me practice getting back into the habit of designing since its been a while for me. although the things that people want me to make are anything but inspiring ugh makes me depressed everytime i see "can you make me a pretty banner with lotsa butterflies and rainbows" or "i want a banner for my siggy do what you want but make it all badass and stuff"
