 Light sparkles off of the purple water as you make you way twoards the waterfall. It is not an excessively large waterfall, but it is significant enough to capture your attention for a few moments. The clearing is shaded by both trees and the cliff where the water runs off of it. A cottage lies off to the side of the clearing, far enough away that the sound of the falls could be considered a lulling sound. It is a quaint cottage, giving the air of coziness and welcoming. You move toward it and catch sight of a female numa sitting on a rock near the waters edge. She is pretty, with rainbow hair and tail and covered in ribbons and bows. She glances back and sees you. She jerks to her feet, blushing a brilliant red and flees to the cottage. You are confused, why would she run? You have done nothing frightening toward her. You decide to go up to the cottage and attempt to talk to the numa. You knock on the door, but another numa answers.
"Hello!" Greets the male numa warmly, "Would you like to come in?"
Why would you refuse?

The male numa smiles at you. He is yellow and covered in green spots. When he speaks, a forked tongue darts out, giving him a slight lisp, "It iss a pleassure to meet you," He tells you, motioning for you to sit at the table, "May I assk what bringss you here?"
You explain that you stumbled upon this place and saw a pretty female numa. She ran away from you and you would like to know why. Ryuune nods in understanding, "That would be Kechara. Sshe iss afwully sshy. Pleasse do not take offensse, sshe cannot be help what sshe iss." He smiles again and tilts his head to the side, "Would you like ssomething to drink? I'm ssure we have ssomething around here." He begins fiddling around through the drawers and pantry drawing the attention of another numa, one who had been sleeping in one of the bedrooms upstairs.

 A black numa comes into the rooming, yawning widely and revealing teeth just a bit too pointy. He is only mostly black. His front paws and muzzles seem to be blood-splattered which makes you glance at him more then once. He grins at you, "What is this, Ryuune? Bringing home a lovely without telling me?" Ryuune gives the impression of rolling his eyes even though his back is turned to both you and the other male. This new male smiles winningly at you and takes a seat next to you, laying his front paws onto the wooden table, "A pleasure to meet you, darling." He murmurs gallantly, green-yellow eyes sparkling with mischief, "I am called Nalikai, and you are?" He nods as you tell him your name, "A pleasure to meet you." He tilts his head back to Ryuune, "Would you mind making me some of that?" He asks, grinning again. He turns back to you, "May I ask what brings you here?"
"Kechara ran from ssssomeone again." Replies Ryuune kindly, bringing two mugs to the table. Seeing as Ryuune kept one for himself, Nalikai grins and shrugs, leaving the table to go get his own cup. You take a sip from your cup finding the drink to be warm and sweet. Nalikai smiles, "Would you like to go sssee her?" He asks, "Ssshe'sss probably in her room right now--"
As he speaks the said female enters the room, at first not seeing you.

At first the female doesn't notice you, having clearly thought that Nalikai and Ryuune were speaking with each other. She smiles at both of them kindly and moves into the room, glancing about for something she seems to be looking for. Her dark pink eyes land on you and she freezes in astonishment. "Ah---!" She gasps, paw pressed against her mouth as her cheeks flame, "Wh-what are you doing here?" She stammers, averting her eyes.
"I was wondering why you ran away." You reply casually, attempting to relax her. She swallows and shakes her head, "I-It's nothing....d-don't mind me...." She takes a step back, clearly about to flee into the depths of the house, where you are clearly not welcome yet.
Ryuune sighs and smiles gently at the poor female, "Kechara, sshouldn't you ssit with uss? I'll make you ssome of that drink you like sso much." He offers gently, motioning for her to sit. Kechara shakes her head, eyes firmly attached to a miniscule piece of floor. "I....I...." She gives in and with great reluctance sits where Ryuune indicated, her cheeks still stained a dark pink, "I--I can't stay long though." She almost whispers, "I promised to meet Briar soon.""Briar?" You ask, attempting to start a conversation with the shy female. She looks up at you, startled, her cheeks flaming an even darker crimson.
"M-m-my....he-he's my..."
"Briar is Kechara's mate." Replies Nalikai for her, smiling as well at her as Ryuune sets the cup in front of her. Kechara nods meekly, still quite red.
Ryuune resumes his seat next to Kechara and glances back at the door, "Where iss sshe?" He asks, glancing at them, "Do either of you know?"
You look at the snake-like numa curiously, wanting to know.

You do not get a chance to ask the question however, as another numa, this one one, though as large as the rest, seems younger, trots in, a strange, snake interwined in paws. She is very green and gives the distinct impression of a snake yet a bird. She blinks at the gathering and then smiles enigmatically. "Hello," She greets nodding her head, "How kweh isss everyone? Did I kweh misss anything?" She looks up at Ryuune and pads over, nuzzling him gently before hoisting herslef up and settling in his lap, "Father..." She purrs, looking completely content. Ryuune smiles and rubs her back, "I wass talking about my daughter, Asshe, Asshe Quetzal." He explains to you nodding and looking quite proud, "My mate and I recently recieved featherss from the Sswan, four to be exact." He grins and looks at his daughter, who simply purrs more. Nalikai chuckles softly, "A lovely batch indeed, Ryuune, we're quite proud to finally see the fruits of your praying." He purrs. Ashe opens an eye at him lazily, raising a brow. "Uncle Nali," She rumbles, "When will you kweh teach me sssome of thossse pick-up linesss you kweh ussse on your Kieran?" She giggles as the Black numa silences himself. Ryuune smirks at Nalikai, "Don't underesstimate my children, Uncle Nali." He responds. Kechara breaks in quietly as the conversation dies, "Um....I really must go...I don't want to keep Briar waiting..." She stands, tucks in her chair and quite literally flees the scene. You are disappointed, but understand a bit of her dilemna. You turn to Ryuune and smile, "Congradulations then, Ryuune." You say kindly, smiling. You happen to glance about the kitchen, wondering what else could be within this strange candy house with it's occupants. Your gaze halts on the next room and you try to peer closer, curious. --------------------------------

Ashe notices the direction your gaze has turned and she smiles kindly. Standing up, she offers a paw to help you up and clearly intends to give you a small tour. You take her paw and stand, following the snake-like female into the next room where two other male numas reside. One playing quietly with a little green fluffy creature, the other fast asleep on a few cusions piled into a small bed. Your attention is immediately drawn to the first male, mostly because he is moving. His isn't a particularly colorful, being only two shades of brown, until you notice the little blue horn that adorns his forhead. He turns slightly, clearly sensing your prescene. He nods once to you and the others and resumes his quiet game with a little green creature, which flutters about softly, clearly being extra careful so as not to disturb the other sleeping male. You smile softly, sensing that this one is more shy and withdrawn then the others. "That is Hiro," Whispers Ashe softly, "He is very shy, don't mind him." She smiles, revealing her elongated canines, "The one sleeping over there is Gabriel, he's usually much more energetic, but we had a long time to play today, so he is resting." You nod once, acknowledging her words, but your eyes have caught on a feature that Hiro has, one that is most certainly a unique one. Light blue tentacles lay limply on top of Hiro's hindlegs, appearing to be resting. One twitches slightly and reaches up in an automatic way, following his brown arm as he reaches for the little green creature. His special features are...interesting, to say the least. --------------------

You look at the sleeping male, curious as to if this one will also carry strange parts. He is quite clearly deep in the sleep of one utterly spent, unlikely to even wake up during an earthquake. He is light blue in base color, with an even lighter underbelly with swirls. Purple dots his eyelids and extremities, even a small heart symbol resides on his cheek. You get the sense that this little boy is the type to be hopelessly innocent and cheerful, one of the few who always see the good in anything, no matter the problem. You take all of this in within a few seconds before glancing to a corner of the room and catch sight of something...pink? ---------------------------------

You blink in surprise, with a room full of males why would there be something pink? Ashe follows your gaze and smiles with clearly happiness, "That issss kweh one of Kechara'ssss children." She explains softly, careful to keep her voice soft around the other two, "It jussst recently came to the kweh houssse," She glances at the others and pretends to be conspiratory, "Kechara and kweh I are hoping it'sss a kweh girl," She winks at you and motions for everyone to leave the room.
You manage to glance out a window as you leave and see that the afternoon has indeed waned and time has passed far to quickly. "Oh no," You begin, realizing that time has vanished and that you must hurry home to your own family and friends. With a smile, Ashe leads you out to the door, Ryuune and Nalikai trailing behind. "Don't be afraid to come back again!" offers Ryuune, a kind look in his eyes.

As you walk away from the house contemplating what recent events have happened there, you catch a glimpse of something fiery. You turn to get a full look at this creature and find--it is a marshmellow chocobo. He is quite literally flaming red and orange. Black markings decorate him as well. You are surprised to see such a creature, as they are rare even in Numa Numa Land. The chocobo looks at you, nods politely and walks past, clearly intent on going somewhere. You turn to watch as it trots up to the house you had recently visited and knocks on the door with its beak. The door opens and a voice inside filters down to you, "Wyan! Welcome back! It's been a while, come on in." Even far away, the distinct voice of Nalikai can be heard. You turn away and set off through the forest, intent on returning to your own home.
