This Event will end January 06, 12:00 AM. At that time resume roleplaying in the Roleplay Subforum. The day starts at 12:00PM and all students are to report to their classes. Welcome to this year's annual New Year's Eve/New Year's Day Masquerade Ball. With your pre-made RP character, you have the chance of a lifetime to dance with your utmost favorite Host as the grand clocktower strikes midnight, therefore indicating the coming of the New Year 2007.
There are few requirements, so please come prepared.
1] Formal Attire. Ladies, Ball Gowns or even simple dresses are very much appreciated. A peasant dress is even acceptable. Gentlemen, tuxedo is best, but anything is accepted, as long as it shows some manner of sophistication.
2] A Mask. This requirement should be obvious to those of you with past knowledge of what a Masquerade is. Something as extravagent as the Phantom Death Masque to something as simple as a Halloween 2k6 Jack'd Mask, so long as if covers your face.
This is planned to be a literate roleplay. Please use [[ ]], (( )), etc, for when speaking out of character.
We hope you enjoy this year's newcoming event, and be looking forward to contests and prizes.

Keru stepped in lightly, adusting the mask over her eyes. She examined to room, seeing the guests that went twirling in tune with the orchestra. She exhaled deeply, barely leaning on the angel sculpture at the end of the staricase railing, smiling to herself.

{ You know what's weird?.. I was already dressed like this before I came here! }
Vira looked around as she walked into the room, a bit nervous about the whole thing. As soon as she saw there was nobody near the door, she quickly walked over to stand by a wall. She ran a hand through her hair and fiddled with her small mask to make sure it wasn't going to fall off. This place is..amazing. Sighing, she smiled to herself and repeated in her mind that everything will turn out okay.
While waiting for..anything else that may happen, she spotted another girl by the staircase. She hadn't seen her before but she walked over to her and greeted her. " Hello, miss. " She smiled and looked around again. When you're bored, make up some random conversation. " It looks like the Ball is going to turn out really well, don't you think? "

"Good afternoon." Keru responded, "I hope so. I'm looking forward to more guests showing up than the few we have, but that'll be later in the day. Something about being fashionably late." she sighed.

" Do you think so? It'd be a bummer to have to wait a few hours just to have more guests. " She sighed as well, for she wasn't one who could wait hours on end for something to start. In the meantime, she would usually get too nervous and leave if that ever happened. " I do hope that at least one other person comes earlier than you say. "

She took a some-what deep breath and sighed. " Yea. I'd figure they would be the one's here before everyone else, really. I wonder where they are. " Shrugging the thought off, she adjusted her necklace and then her mask nervously. It always happened when she had to wait for something.

Hotaru walked into the room and looked around, trying not to fall on her face. She wobbled a little bit because she was not used to wearing heels. She saw two other girls in the room and went over to them. “Hello.” she greeted with a friendly smile. She wanted to make at least a few friends at this ball.

“Thanks for the welcome.” Hotaru replied and noticed the lack of people in the room. “Um, where is everyone?” She asked as she looked at the two girls. “Am I too early?”
