I loved Enders Game (spoiler warning!!!) because I thought it was really clever how when Ender thought it was just a game it turned out to be real. How he was already fighting the war, and what he thought were just blips on a screen were actual fighters. I just thought everything was really clever, the name ender, the kids at the academy, the battleroom games, and the computer games, ender's siblings, everything. The characters were all unique and well developed, and there was a well thought out reason for each situation and person. I really can't put it into words very well.

I did like Ender's Game (and Ender's Shadow... XD), but my favorite fantasy series of all time has to be the urban-fantasy series the Blood Books by Tanya Huff. I think they made a TV show out of it, but I don't watch it. ANYway...
The books are Blood Price, Blood Trail, Blood Lines, Blood Pact and... what was the last one again?! I always forget. And then there's a new series starring one of the minor characters in the Blood Books; Smoke and Shadows, Smoke and Mirrors, and Smoke and Ashes.
I like the Blood books not only because they age well (Blood Price was written in the eighties and i didn't realize it until i looked at the copyright! The only way you can tell by reading it is that no one has cell phones), but because Huff takes your regular horror-movie creepies (vampires, werewolves, etc.) and gives them a new twist (the vampire writes romances and the werewolves are the ones that need saving!). Also, the characters are gritty and real, and though they have happy-ish endings, the main charries are half-dead by the end. There are no Deus ex Machinae, and the sex scenes aren't graphic.
The Smoke books are good because the main character has that kind of mind where even the weird things he runs into can be funny, and if he can't beat the bad guys quite yet, driving them nuts is pretty fun.
*heads upstairs to check that last title...*
Ok, so by Tanya Huff, the books are Blood Price Blood Trail Blood Lines Blood Pact Blood Debt
Smoke and Shadows Smoke and Mirrors Smoke and Ashes

I'm iffy... I saw the movie first and liked it, but then i read the book and saw what was left out. However I'm just not sure what it is but something about the way Chirstopher Paolini bugs me. It takes me weeks to read his books, while most only takes me a couple days

I was at my tiny bookstore and there was nothing from my usual authors i wanted so I just grab those based on the covers. I didnt even read the back at the time. I finished the first one and loved it!

OKay I for one HATED Spiderman 3. the last ten min was all I liked about it and I also mostly liked Harry. Spidey was WAY to corny/cheesey for me and cried every 10 min it seemed. I have never liked Kirsten Dunst as MJ, and she was especially annoying in this film. Venom who I was looking forward to seeing is barely in the darn thing mad
Shrek 3 made me laugh I remember, but I dont think it was as good as the other two. I feel like they played on the whole baby thing and the touching moments with Artie too much. Overall I would have to say it was good but not great.
thata all I have seen so far, though I hope to see POTC 3 this weekend.

Saber Alli Ok what did yall think of the episodes 1-3 of Star Wars? cuz I just re-watched them and I'm not really impressed...... Parts 1 and 2 are crap, not worthy of the title of "Star Wars". The third started off badly, but got better when Anakin fell to the dark side.

Well I finally saw Pirates 3 and while I absolutely LOVED it, I thought the ending was kinda bittersweet though. The one thing that bugged me is how we always knew Will was a good swordsman from the first movie onward, but all of a sudden Elizabeth seems to be just as good in this one. I wont say more and spoil it! Except stay after the credits wink
