|
Delphia was the first of Camarin's soquili friends. She is near to being an elder. She has grown from a flightly, shy filly into a wise and stable mare. She has a mate, Sora, and two colts, now grown and with mates themselves. Her gentle nature and soothing nature seems to have a calming affect on those she meets.
Jaden came to be Delphia's friend when fleeing the angry Tasunke. He is a mischevious soul, loving to play tricks and tease. His nature is much more similar to a raven or crow, whose coloring he bears. Due to his drastic nature, he has several who love him and a few who dislike him strongly. Overall, though, he is a good natured being and doesn't mean any real harm.
Damara is one of the children of Delphia's old age. While the rest of Delphia's offspring have scattered to the four winds, Damara has remained close to home, looking after her ailing mother. Not as werm and welcoming as her parent, she tends to be a bit haughty and prim, though always practical. She considers daydreaming a waste of time, and could never be considered playful, save perhaps in verbal sparring. Her demure and proper attitude, combined with her strong self-confidence and firm will, seems to have nudged others from her, as she has few she'd dare call a friend.
Ceylona was a wild mare with a wild past. SHe became curious about humans, however she was wary and proud of her freedom. Camarin's gentle ways and unassuming attitude helped to convince the red mare that humans could be good things. This realization was brought home when Ceylona met Wolfie Duke. Everything after that has gone on beyond Camarin's knowledge.
Eloran was his human'sdreams come true. He is a strong and willing friend with a heart of gold. Raised in the wild with his father, then returning to the land of his mother to be adopted by the Kawani tribe, he was overjoyed to discover a human he could love above all others. He is a staunch supporter of humankind and tends to care more for their company than those of the more riotous of his own kind. Sadly, when his life came to include a mare, things turned upside down. Losing both mate and human, he escaped human life with his daughter in tow. He now lives an almost hermitic life in a particular stretch of forest, up against the mountains. Warmth and love is on the horizon for him, to wipe away the years of staunchness against the sadness and loneliness.
Zoet Kopy Elorani, daughter of Eloran, is a merry and intelligent young mare. She is independant and energetic, but also down to earth and generally practical. Playful and sweet, she is a mix of all that is good in the world. She currently roams the lands, exploring and learning and meeting other Soquili. She is very friendly and accepting, loving to dance beneath the moon.
T'Cora is a very special young lady. Delphia found her basket within the ocean's waves on a beach. Imagine her surprise when a graceful unicorn filly emerged from it! T'Cora will never be truly tame, as the nature of a unicorn is wild. She spends her days wandering the woods and beaches. Her home will always be the ocean, for it calls to her heart as nothing else can. She tends to be a bit lofty and snooty, but has a good heart beneath it all. Discovering her mate and having children has softened and mellowed her attitudes, however. These days she is much more motherly than cold.
Mystre was found as a pup, huddled in a soggy miserable ball by T'Cora's basket on the beach. He and the unicorn mare are bound as none else can be. He is mute, but T'Cora can hear his voice in her head, and she can speak to him in the same manner. The wolf's personality is very quiet and reserved, and because of this, few realize he has a physical restriction.
Darius, T'Cora's mate, swept into her life not so very long ago. He is a charming gentleman who only has eyes for her. He is fiercely protective of his family, though he is naturally a peacemaker. His long explorative flights and runs with his offspring keep him fit and muscular. His whole world is his family, having little room in his heart for those outside of that happy circle.
Luca is a very sensual and mellow mare who greatly appreciates the company of stallions. In her youth, she was free and easy with her favors, dallying with whomever struck her fancy. Meeting Guilian has slowly changed her, though. While she and Guilian will never declare each other as mates, forever dedicated to each other and no other, they do suit each other perfectly. With the bearing of children, Luca has come to be more relaxed and less flighty in her choices of partners. Amongst it all, though, has been Guilian. Her children too have impacted her life, making her realize that although there are many pleasures to be had, that for Luca, motherhood is the best of them all.
Leon, as he is known by all family and friends, is the ultimate in daydreamers. It has, in the past, very nearly landed him in trouble. So different from his ranging, free-loving family, Leon tended to stay in his home area, choosing a single clearing as his place to return to every night. He is very sweet and rather innocent in his own way, preferring enchantment and joy to sobriety and cynicism. Deep in his heart, he is altruistic in every way, and believes that good things do happen. All those dreams of his came true when he came across the lovely mare Gemma. They are now mates, and Leon could not imagine life being better than it is right now.
Tobias is from Luca's second batch of foals. He was always a hyper-energetic colt, breezy and joyful. As a colt, he met and treasured a new friend, a misfit filly named Cassiel. For a time they frolicked together under the watchful eye of his mother, until one day she disappeared. As he continued to grow and mature, he became a strong, determined individual, knowing his own mind and having the fortitude to see it through. This served him well when he again found Cassiel, now a broken and distraught mare. With loving dedication and gentleness, he won her heart and has begun to ease her fears. Together they will form a new family and create a new future, much brighter than his mate ever had forseen.
Leigh is a pretty boy, and he knows it. His curling mane is one of his own favorite features, and he can often be found tossing it, or grooming it, or otherwise making sure it looks fantastic. Despite his apparent vanity, he actually is quite humble in most everything else. He tends to have hopes of being a dashing hero, still being young and naive. His life thus far has been nothing but even sailing, with nothing major ever going wrong. What makes his life amusing, however, is his clumsiness with females. He very much enjoys the company of a pretty girl, but the moment he opens his mouth, he often inserts his own hoof. Either that, or he'll manage to muff up some grand gesture and end up looking like a complete fool. Even so, he retains his sunny and well-humored attitude, able to laugh at himself and pick up where he left off. All in all he is an extremely comfortable stallion to be around. |
