.[About the Waterbender].
[ Personality ]
Meilin ..... has always been a willful girl. Ever since she was old enough to understand the words she spoke, she's been speaking with honesty so blunt that it can most often be likened to a child's, only lacking in innocence. She does not encourage "sugar-coating", nor does she care to do so herself. The only time that this woman seems to let her icey exterior thaw is when she's in the presence of children and some trustworthy individuals.

Meilin and her twin were born into a lower-middle class family within the Northern Water Tribe's city walls. There was nothing extraordinary about either girl, nor their coming into the world, nothing unordinary at all, except for the fact that they came together as one. Yet, being born at the same time obviously had no effect on their personalities, for the two were as different as day versus night.
Where Toh Ni was warm and outgoing, full of life and passionate energy, Meilin was reserved and as cool as the fridgid waters surrounding and building their home. She was not an uncaring child, nor is she an uncaring woman, but she seemed to take after a more solid form of their element. Ice. She never did seem to care for the traditions of the Northern tribe, though she didn't -usually- make trouble over them. There were only two instances in her youth when Meilin made it clear that she disapproved. When she learned that she would never be able to learn to fight (she threw a fit, one of the only tantrums she's ever had), and the day that her father began considering marriage prospects... Though father and daughter did butt heads over this, she had little to fear. Even at marrying age none of the young men in their tribe seemed to show any intrest in having her for a wife, and those that were, were too afraid of her to say so. While her twin was engaged to be married fairly early on, Meilin slipped by freely for an entire year.
Meilin also decided that a life where she was able to make her own decisions about who she married and what she learned was the -only- kind of life for her. Shortly after the twin's 17th birthday, she left home to seek out the life she craved: A life of freedom.

Meilin ..... is a character that's close to my heart. She and her twin [Tony] have been with me for almost ten years now, since almost the first day I discovered anime [Gundam Wing]. She's grown as a person, and I've learned from both she and her sister. This segment is to fill you in a bit more on me though.

[ Historic Moments ]
Mid-Winter: ..... I met Sasha for the first time, she's offered to teach me some water bending if I stick around the South Pole for a bit longer. I think I'll take her up on this offer.
Mid-Winter: I've left the South Pole to resume my travels. I didn't realize I would miss warm weather, but already I feel at home again nearly halfway towards Earth Kingdom. I guess the road is as much where my heart belongs now as with any family or tribe.

[ 12.29.06. - Mentor ]
Sasha ..... and Meilin met on one of the shores of the Southern Water tribe's territory, not far from the Master-bender's home. Lin holds Sasha in respective regard, and would like to get to know her better if possible. They seem to have quite a bit in common when it comes to opinions of the Northern Water tribe's male population and traditions. Sasha also managed to surprise Meilin by offering to give her some form of water-bending lessons.
[ 10.19.06. - Aquaintence ]
Chen ..... is a young man that Meilin met upon her arrival at the Southern Tribe. She found him glaring holes into the ships, and only had a short conversation with him. It's possible that she's crossed paths with his family in the past, but they did not initially recognize one another, so he's still a new face in her eyes.

[ History ]
I've ..... had Meilin for years. She was my second, and favorite, willful female character. The first game that I ever played her in was actually an RP between Tina and I, and in it she had a short-lived role, as she died from internal bleeding, resulting from a fight that she'd gotten into. Letting her go prooved a little too much though, and after playing out that version of the RP we decided to feature her in other games and an "Alternate-Universe" spinoff. Since then the plot has been revised drastically to include Meilin.
Normally ..... I also play her twin, Tony, but Tony is such a casual character that I just don't really feel like she has a place in this game along side her sister. Currently Tony is said to have been married off in the North Pole somewhere between age 16 and 17, before Meilin left home. Meilin doesn't speak of her sister, but she cares about her and misses her daily. Tony, who has yet to get a fitting name for the Avatar universe, was very understanding of Meilin's views, along with their mother. Meilin sees Tony as the stronger of the two of them for the fact that Tony can endure and persevere in just about any situation and find happiness despite it not being what she wanted for herself.

Anything Else: Just the addition of the belt (which should be dark brown to match her boots), boomarang holster (lighter brown), the boomarang (light blue, with white and dark blue accents and highlights, if visible), and the canteen shell now carry on her belt as well.
