[age] 17
[gender] Male
[appearance] Ramajan is a lanky lad of 5 feet and 8 inches with a little ways to grow. His hair is bright red and worn at about a medium length for a boy and his eyes are so palely brown as to look yellow. His skin is a pale pink and requires sunscrean durring very bright days if he's going to be in the sun for hours. He has a lean strength about him which comes from years training in acrobatics. His shoulders aren't very broad but he is quite strong. His endurance is also quite good, but he's not very fast; running is definately not one of his favorite things to do. His fingers and toes are quite callused, no one would ever say his hands are soft.
When he's not training Ramajan likes to dress nicely with collared shirts and dress slacks. He tends to wear something red, but not too much. His favorite colors are red and brown but he knows better than to over-do red with how bright his hair already is. When in training though he wears unitards for freedom of movement. He has small pockets on his back (it seemed the least noticable spot) in which to put hoops and balls for juggling. While he hasn't had much luck with it yet, he currently wants to try juggling while performing various aerial acrobatics, specifically while rope dancing.
[personality] Ramajan is a very dedicated person, he has worked very hard and given up a lot to be where he is today. He can be very stubborn at times and difficult to deal with. He often finds rather morbid or calous things funny, often at the expense of others. He would never try to outright insult someone, but he does at times without meaning to. Sometimes he doesn't understand why no one else finds the same things funny. A part of him feels entitled to being able to find whatever he pleases as funny. He doesn't get mad every time someone gewts upset at his humor, but instead keeps it all inside and winds up blowing up at someone when he can't take anymore.
He didn't always have this problem, he used to have a socially acceptable humor and quite a few friends. It was right around the time of his sister's death that he started 'using' morbid humor to drive people away from him. It was as though he didn't want to risk having people close to him in fear that he might loose them. Now it had become second nature, wether he wants to or not he often drives people away with his strange sence of humor and saying things at the wrong time.
[history] Ramajan's parents were perhaps doomed from the start. They were both highly competative people in the same field of work. Both wanted to be the top in their field, which often led to arguements about whos job was more important. They didn't plan on having kids, Ramajan happened when his mother was in the process of switching from one birth control to another. At first this seemed to strengthen their marriage. His mother began devoting more time to being a 'wife and mother' and less time to being a carreer woman. But she soon tired of that life. When Ramajan was 4 she hired a nanny and went back to work. Things got messy in the Viadyanathan household once more.
When Ramajan was 5 his mother got pregnant again. She didn't know that her husband had started switching out her pills for very similar looking vitamins. Albedreia joined the family, but at a huge cost to their parent's marriage. Trust issues and competition at work slowly tore them appart. Ramajan's father moved out for the first time when he was 8 and his baby sister 3. Love for his children brought him back, but they soon fell into a cycle of him leaving every two or three years.
Ramajan was a very industrious lad. He excelled in class and in his hobbies. He moved forward quickly and was able to start high school a year early. He met with his first failure in high school, the task of trying to star in a school musical (and yes, a pretty girl was involved in him wanting to do this). Having never spent time learning to sing, he did not make it through the audition. However he did still spend a lot of time watching rehersals (still chasing the same girl) and learned a lot about stage management in the process. When his teen age heart finally gave up on her, it hadn't given up on the stage. He spent the rest of his three years in high school always working backstage for school productions. He graduated early with high marks but not nearly as high hopes.
In the midst of Ramajan's second year of high school things finally blew up with his parents. Both his mother and father had been unfaithful during their last sepparation and those acts came into the light. Divorce was the final option. A second huge blow came one month after all the papers had been signed... Albedriea had cancer. It was in a rather advanced stage and responded to none of the treatments. In the end she lasted one year after diagnosis before dieing. Ramajan redoubled his efforts in school as a way of keeping his emotions at bay. He finished a year early and left home the day after graduation.
For that year Ramajan wandered without purpose. He had a rather extensive college fund and used that to live off of. With his grades he could have gone to a very nice school and have not needed to touch the fund at all with all the scholarships he would have been able to get. But he felt a stronger draw in another area. When he heard about the Kaleido Stage (about one year after leaving home) he thought he might try his future there and see how things went. Currently he doesn't take his training here very seriousely, assuming that if he fails he has a lot of other assets to draw upon.

Ramajan's room is overly tidy, mostly because he has few possesions to clutter it up with. Aside from the normal items - bed, desk, table - he has little more beside clothes and juggling equipment. Out on the balcony he has a wind-chime which belonged to his sister. There's also a padded chair for sitting and a potted plant. Ramajan doesn't even know what kind of plant it is, just that it hasn't died yet.
