Aaron sighed, and drummed his fingers on the desk, his eyes rolled towards the ceiling as he waited for his students to file in. On one side of his desk, he had something resembling a skull, only - it didn't look like any normal HUMAN skull. On the other side, he had a stack of books in a strange language. Dead center, he had numerous copies of three or four sheets of questions.
Frankly, he had no idea how to run a class. Most of his attitude, actually, was nervousness. He didn't believe himself to be prepared, but farbiet for him to refuse such an awesome job as being a drama teacher. On the whiteboard on the center of the front wall, he had written in large, black letters:

Quote:
Welcome to Drama
The teacher is insane.
Please take a sheet from the front desk [It doesn't matter which one], and find a seat somewhere near the front. You will not need pencils, books, pens, paper, calculators, googly eyes, or high-school crushes.
In other words: Take a sheet, Take a seat.

First class as a Kaleido Stage Trainee and Levana made sure she was there on time. In fact, as she entered the brightly lit room, it looked as if she was the first to arrive. Two-toned eyes glanced to the professor who looked quite...uncomfortable sitting behind such a large desk as that. In fact, he looked much as if he was a performer getting ready for their first big performance...nervous.
With a smile, the young demon looked at him before her eyes fell upon the board. Quickly scanning the words with a small chuckle directed towards the comment under the title of the class, Levana walked up to the desk and snatched up one of the papers. Eyes glanced around the room trying to decide the best place to sit before finally just deciding the take the front row seat in the middle.
Slidding into the seat she stretched out as a half-hearted yawn escaped her mouth. Once that was taken care of she shifted in the chair so she was sitting straight-up or as straight up as she was comfortable before relaxing against the back of the chair. Once set witht he paper sitting in front of her on the polished desk, Levana waited in silence for others to arrive.

Shima walked in, yawning. She had found the class surprisingly, easily to find. Next time, she would come later instead of early. She was TIRED.

I didnt learn from the last time. Stop playing Kingdom Hearts so late!

Shima glanced up at the teacher, then at the board. Walking through, she picked up a paper, and took a desk in the second row, the row behind a girl in the middle, nearest to the window. She was about two seats away, as she left the paper on her desk putting her head down. The teacher sounded laid back and cool, from the words on the board.

But you could never tell. It sounded like this teacher had a sense of humor. And best of all, you didnt need anything.

Another yawn escaped from Shima, as Shima put a hand to her mouth. Setting her head down, she closed her eyes. Yep. She was only resting her eyes. She would wake up when the teacher started class.

(( I wasnt totally sure of the class layout x_x;; ))

[[ Hehe... *starts drawing floor plan and who's sitting where* ]]

Ramajan had a small satchel over one shoulder, likely holding pencils and paper and other such things one expected to need for their first day. As he scanned the board he settled the strap of his small bag on the chair in the second row and diagonal from the horned girl on the side away from the windows. He then took one paper from the stacks and glanced to the odd skull, then to the teacher. Would this lead to over-dramatized Shakespearian quotes? He certainly hoped not.

He noticed the other two students when he went back to his seat. He didn't recognize the one who'd taken front and center, in fact he didn't think she'd been at the welcome at all. A late arrival perhaps?

And the other, already with her head down again. Did she not like her own bed? Was it lumpy of something? He got the impression that she was a slacker or lazy, but naturally talented enough that she got away with it. He tried looking over the words on the sheet he'd taken, but his mind wasn't completely focused on it.

Lyane stormed into the classroom as if she was 5 minutes late to class. In fact, she was pretty early, but it had became her habit to enter the classroom pretending that her hair was on fire so she could get worked up for class instead of falling asleep in the middle of it. After reading the signs, she quickly grabed a sheet from the front desk and skipped off to one of the seats, kicking apart the desk and the chair so her little body could fit in.

Taking a deep, excited breath, Lyane first looked down and adjusted her rather messy clothing. Prior to the first day of the class, she had barely splept. Most of the night she found herself staring off the ceiling, which, for sake of convience, had a poster of her brother modeling stuck on it. She found herself staring at the poster again at about 5am in the morning, wondering what her sibling was doing at the very moment. She didn't bother to get up that early, however, and procrastinated untill it was time that she REALLY had to go or else she'd be late. Therefore, having had a rather rushed breakfast and not much time to groom herself, few of Lyane's hair stuck up and defied gravity when she first entered the class. Now she was trying to comb them down with her fingers. Of course, a mirror would be convinient at the moment, but with Lyane's open tomboyness, one would least suspect a girl like her would carry a mirror around in her backpack...

Lyane looked up and looked around at other trainees in the classroom. She saw Shima, and smiled brightly at her, and waved when she saw Ramajan. Her sight stopped at a strange looking girl with white hair and...horns? Lyane blinked. She stared at the demon girl, wondering where she got all her fancy ornaments from.

Arahila appeared in the doorway with a gym bag clutched in front of her, much like one would hold a purse when they were nervous. Walking slowly towards the desk she read the bored...and re-read it, thinking it was an odd thing for a teacher to write. She grabbed a piece of paper and moved to an empty desk in the front row next to the girl with silver hair. Her eyes wandered to her classmates, giving the girl with purple hair an odd look for sleeping.

First Day of class and already she's sleeping?!

Arahila didn't think that she could ever do that, mainly out of fear of offending the teacher and getting on his bad side.

Suka took note of the room before entering the class. Just great... a class full of girls. I guess that means I won't be playing female roles for once.

He had woken at three to warm up, eat breakfast, and pin up his hair. The long tresses were something of a fight, and took extra time from his morning to get them to stay out of his face. He had chosen simple clothing that he could easily move in so he could go from one class to another.

Picking up the sheet of paper from the front he moved to sit at the back of the already occupied seats, choosing the one behind the tomboy. Suka read the slip over, finding it odd that there were questions, but they were not expected to have any writing utensils. I guess that means that we answer these questions out loud...interesting.

((Suka will probably be quiet for most of the class as I'm going out of town for the holiday tomorrow evening. heart ))

Levana watched as trainee after trainee stepped in and took their seats within any vacant seat. No one seemed interested enoughto take a front row seat with her. Not that it matter. Levana was use to flying solo in both educational classes and in training and performances though she knew that all of that would need to be fixed at some point. Kaleido stage was a place that was put together and runs on team work and team work was not something Levana was use to.

AS she sat there, Levana got the feeling that she was the interesting subject to look at today. Trying to ignore the eyes that she knew were on her Levana lasted only a few moments before finally turning around to see who was being so rude as to stare and her eyes fell upon Lyane first who was certainly staring outright at her.

Taking a deep breath to keep herself from snapping about manners, Levana smiled weakly. "Hello." She said, eyes fixed on Lyane. "Seeing as you appear transfixed on me I figured I'd introduce myself. I am Levana."

[[ Class full of girls? Ramajan is there. ]]

Ramajan gave a return wave when Lyane entered. Had he gotten her name? He couldn't remember... he was horrible with names.

He decided to keep to himself for now, likely there'd be some sort of introductions. Or maybe a small speach given to answer these questions. Whatever the case, he decided to watch the door rather than try to engage anyone in conversation.

That's when he noticed the first male student he'd seen, aside from looking in mirrors. And he was decidedly... odd looking. He wasn't sure why he'd expected everyone to be plain human with no strange blood-lines, but he had. First the horned girl and now this guy. Green wings and something wing-like sticking from his long hair.

Hearing a voice he turned a bit to glance first at the horned girl and then at Lyane. His gaze didn't linger long, if they noticed then he hoped they'd also see that he wasn't interested in talking right now.

"Alright everyone, settle! Doubtless, you are wondering about the board. And about your sheets. Look at them now. You will either have a picture of a castle, or a picture of a dragon. Those with the dragon, move to the right side of the room. Those with the castle, move to the left. I'll move some things around if it's too one-sided."

He grinned, and made a motion with his hands, vanishing the chairs and desks.

"We won't be needing those, either. Now... We're going to play a little game to start class off. It's called Mirror. Each dragon will be paired with a castle. The object is to exactly copy the movement of the other, only in reverse - as if you were looking into a mirror. This includes facial expressions, body movements, and sounds."

He clapped a bit.

"Alright - everyone split up by your pictures."

((Oh shoot O_o))

Startled by the sudden introduction from Levana, Lyane shifted her body back a little, her chair banging back against the desk behind her. "Hi!" The girl gulped, staring with a mixture of fear and amusement into the demon girl's multi-colored eyes. "I'm...Lyane." Lyane forced an awkward smile on her face and, seeing the way the other looked down at her, she sighed heavily. "Nice...accessories you've got their. Or, they are not real, are they?" Eyes going wider, Lyane pointed up at Levana's two horns. Her attempt of touching the girl's horns was stopped when the teacher began to speak. Her hands retreated quickly back to the desk. She also turned her head to the direction of the teacher, but her eyes were still fixed on the white haired girl. Her mouth slightly open, as she kepted her eyes in woner on, not so much Levana's face to avoid the girl's gaze, the horns.

Ergh. They would be playing a paired up game? Shima dearly, very much hoped she wouldnt be paired with Ramajan. Perhaps Levana, or even the other girl she met at the introduction, the one who agreed to the party. Arahila? The odd guy with the dragon-like features, Shima didnt know if they were real or not, wasnt so bad either. The dragon-like things made him even cooler.

If he's had gotten the paper with the dragon, it might be a little ironic.

Lifting her head up as she gave a small yawn, she saw her's was a castle.

Great. A nice big old creepy castle.

Sliding her desk over to the wall, but since it was already against the wall, Shima didnt need to do much. She stood up, lazily and slowly, as she headed to the left side of the room.

" Gotta love partner games. " Shima said, rather sarcastically to herself, or anybody listening.

Kayla was in trouble and it was she mused her own fault in a way. Nervous about attending her first official class she'd gotten up a bit earlier and headed into town for a comforting cup of coffee at her favorite coffee place. She had not relaised when she'd left that she was far too slow a walker and that she'd be waiting in line with hoards business men and women headed off to work.

Suffice to say that as she walked into the classroom now staring at her shoes she did not have high hopes for her future, at least not in this class.

((OOC: I so LOVE this excercise!! We do it periodically in my acting II class. should you need any other excercises feel free to ask me. I have quit e afew. wink ))

Levana gave Lyane a strange look as the girl reached forward to touch Lthe horns. Ducking her head away, Levana gave Lyane a small glare, ignoring her questions and introduction as the instructor began to talk. Not wanting to look at the girl, Levana turned completely around in her seat and grabbed the paper sitting on her desk. A castle...

Glancing to the two groups which had begun to form, Levana rose from her chair just in time before the desks and chairs were banished away. Eyes looked to where her desk once was before she made her way over to the designated area for the castles.

She noted that Shima was also in her group which meant there was really no one shewould know in the dragosn group. Great. Well at least this was a way to meet new people.

Eyes drifted back to Lyane waiting to see what group she got into. Levana tried to get a peak at the other girls paper hoping to see a castle but she was unable to determine what was on it. If the girl got the castle then there was no way that the two would be paired together. Levana really didn't want to be paired with such a rude girl.

Arahila had kept to herself after taking her seat and had focused her gaze on the paper instead of the others around her. She wasn't one for gossip or any other type of social interaction really. A few conversations had started and she heard a few words, letting her eyes wander to the girl with the horns for a moment. She was curious to them as well but wasn't rude enough to express it or listen in. In fact, she was so concentrated on the paper that she didn't notice the dragon boy till they were told to stand up and move.

Looking down at the paper in her hand she noticed that hers was a dragon, so she moved to the appropriate side of the room without a word or question. Arahila looked at the "castles" and saw the two girls she had briefly shared the trapeze with earlier on but had never gotten their names. Maybe she would learn at least one name now?
