Righto. I'm making this topic for a few reasons. Curiosity, mainly, and a way to make the vast group that makes up the "111" a little more coherent to our new friends. Also, it is just for fun. Everyone (well, myself anyway) likes to talk about themselves and hear others talk about themselves in return. Voyeurism at it's best and most cooperative.
Also, this is just an easy way to get a little activity in here and likely won't fall under the category of "failed Eleventyone projects".
I'd like everyone to post a paragraph long (though there are no particular length requirements, be as long-winded or pithy as you like) blurb about themselves. Anything goes whatsoever. Be creative or not, just say who you are. If you don't know exactly what to say, say how you came to the Writer's Forum and 111, what you like to write, what your hobbies/interests are, your geographical location, what your mules are, or anything at all. Link to your work, your favorite threads, zombo.com, anyting. Say you enjoy long walks on the beach. Say you're a Martian from planet Zepton (you have dual citizenship, of course) and you have three eyes and are covered in mucus.
I really don't care. Just say something.
After you post, I think I might list you in alphabetical order or something in a few reserved posts. If nobody participates, people can just click through the pages to read the bios on their own. talk2hand

Let's see, what interesting information do I have...
All the names I can ever remember going by on the internet, in order: mercury_power, hydrasfire, spaghettipizza, Athena, Athena Chromestar, Athena Chrome, Syrinx, Xyxith, Xyxzith, Dybael. I remember being a horrible n00b years and years ago (as the early names show), but a five-year stay on a literate MUD ingrained internet etiquette on a cellular level. I am in the Davidson Institute for Gifted and Talented Children. I can wiggle my toes individually. I memorized pi to thirty digits just so I could annoy people. I'm afraid of the dark. My favorite color is chrome. I like liver. My favorite ice cream flavor is Vermonty Python (Coffee liqueur ice cream with a chocolate cookie crumb swirl & fudge cows). I love coffee-flavored everything but can't stand coffee itself. If I had to go a week without hot cocoa I'd probably die. The only juice I drink is apricot nectar. I regularly use sock puppets in class presentations. I like records better than CDs. I have bad acne. I wear cloaks around the house. When there's no candy in the house, I eat baker's chocolate. I have no pets, although I've been bugging my mom for a turtle. The only origami I know how to do is a disembodied teddy bear head. I've wanted to make a webcomic for over two years now, but the lack of plot, characters, and artisitic ability has put a damper on that. I only found Gaia when I was bedridden with Lyme and visiting every random website I could ever remember people talking about. I found the Writer's Forum on accident. I didn't visit the Eleventyone until a month after I found Gaia because the thread's name scared me off.

I have met these creatures many times on my journeys across the world.
Why, you ask? I am a wandering folk singer. My guitar and I have crossed many continents and conquered many lions. With my cellist Naporeon, I become unstoppable (Naporeon, by the way, is not exactly of the human sort. He was experimented on as a child and turned rather blue and fishy, but he is akin to a god). We sing about lost love and peace. Things that, in touching us, touch all the Earth.

I've always gone by the moniker of Tailos. Always. I have - thankfully - never been a n00b in terms of illiteracy on the interweb, as even when using mobile phone text messages I still write out words. I attended secondary school -- high school for you Yanks -- at Wyedean, which is the same place J. K. Rowling is from. On the same token, I detest Harry Potter.
Er... I'm also faintly British; my fashion sense is rather retro, with old school polo shirts and cargo trousers with lots of pockets. I have those really old red-and-white trainers you might see in re-runs of the Karate Kid or Three Ninjas films. I do attend Tae Kwon-do as my favoured sport and activity; i'm hoping to take the grading for my 1st Degree black belt in April.
The Writers Forum is made of win and good, but the 111 makes things better. Oh, and Doktor Suiso von Suienheimer is win.

Slightfoxing. I don't know where it came from, exactly, except that around the time when I joined Gaia something had been eating our trash. It was probably a raccoon, but foxes are cooler than raccoons so here we are.
I tend to be overcautious and far too shy unless I'm with somebody I know. Sadly, this has even carried over to the internets, where nobody knows you're a dog. This is why it took me over a month of lurking and Dybael's initiation to finally haul myself into the 111. I was part of the Great Newbie Rush of '05.
I write in bursts and never finish anything except if it's for school because I am a p***y. I hate everything I do two months after I do it. One day I will go to Paris. In my last year of high school I am going to do something I'm not supposed to do and get away with it.
I live in New Jersey and thus glow green at night.

So I'm only vaguely 111-ish, but I have a special personality or something; Laverne created me to be a match for Cher-bot, the lovely mule of Dybael's used to fight evil with evil, but I got a bit out of hand. Fortunately I don't pop up too often, and usually not in the 111; I am randomly used on occasion.
I originated as a little bitty idea and as internet connection spread I grew like a god would, becoming of age in less than three days. I met and became fast friends of Cher-bot, and then-- and then DSL came, and that's an uhm a different story desu~]

GREETINGS FROM APPLE WORLD!
Yeah. Hi I'm Scribe and I am not, contrary to popular belief, a hairless cat with a crossdressing problem!
Okay, I'll finally get around to doing this. Well where to start. My cute little pixel avatar really represents a 15 year old girl who loves movies of all kinds and writing long complicated stories that really arn't all that complicated but...they are very long.
I have been known to act really, really silly and quote random movies. I love: stripes, Lord of the Rings (I actually though the 111 was a Tolkien thing at first, haha), sporks, coffee, sushi, music of all kinds, wearing mass amounts jewelry, movies, reading, writing, oranges, dying my hair, funky clothing, the anime of Fruits Basket, Terry Pratchett the color green among many other things.
I am generally really shy (even over the Internet) until you get to know me or I feel comfortable in a place and then you will wonder what the trick is to get me to shut up and calm down.
I came to Gaia just about a year ago this October 28 after my friend told me how awesome it was. I came to the 111 in November after working up enough courage and convincing myself that no one was going to kill me.
Interesting things about me:
1. I'm a lefty (not that special I know)
2. I am allergic to all fresh fruits and veggies.
3. I had my name changed when I was little.
4. I'm allergic to henna and have a scar in the shape of a flower on my arm from where I got a henna tattoo when I was 8.
5. I always forget what the fifth interesting thing about me is...but I know there is one!
Okay that's enough about me! How am I suppose to maintain my nonexistent sense of mystery if I tell you everything about myself?!
