Blazing Plains

The Blazing Plains are sometime called the "human side" of the plains. Still, they're everything you would expect. Grass as far as the eye can see, beaten paths to key locations, and an increasing amount of trees the closer you get to the forest.

And so they boogied along the fields until at last the village areas started to get further behind and the fields cleared out a bit. It was quite a walk for her tiger to get from point A to point B, but they got there in time.

It had all the looks of a noble female warrior riding in on a horse. Thing was that it a big green tiger, women in a poncho, and her hands were busy unraveling flashing Christmas lights from around her wrists.

It looked more pyschotic then noble, but that is irrelevant.

Really Veronica had absolutely no idea where she was going. Thankfully this was nothing new. Though it might have helped if she was paying even the smallest bit of attention to what was going on around her.

Shade arrived several minutes behind the girl, walking up to her, he spoke. She was still a good deal off in the distance, and something bad just tugged at his very loins. Perhaps it was time to wait... dropping down to one knee, he pulled his rifle up and looked past it's scope. Just waiting for something to pop it's head out for him only to blow it confetti an instant later.

Quin drove like a mad man, racing the jeep as quickly as he could to flatten the grass as they got into the thick of things. Coming about half way he spotted movement above the fields. Someone riding an animal of some sort, a horse perahps, no, he couldn't see the head.

"Anyone want to check that out while the rest of us lay down the fuel?"

Stopping so someone could get out Quin shifted the jeep into law and began to trample the grass down. This was going to take a while.

"Got it," Shouyin popped open the jeep door, hopping out quickly with the chainsaw now held in both hands. Grinning wildly, he tugged the cord, the bladed tool revving to furious life as he started running quickly through the grass in the direction of whoever was on that... mount thing.

Say jam sucka, jam.

"He's riding a tiger. And there's another nearby...can't tell if their allies or enemies though. I'm going..."

Without another word, Hein disappeared, literally. It was one of his little skills that he was proud of. Not a single trace of him, sound, tracks, or smell, was left as he began moving away from the jeep and through the tall grass, not a blade touched as he kept his eyes on the tiger rider. Pulling out his Damascus, Hein laid in wait, watching quietly from a safe distance.

Gritting his teeth, Mooo took hold of one of the fuel cans, not opening it yet, but getting ready for when he'd have to lay it down, cursing as the guy next to him disappeared.

"s**t, I shoulda gone," Mooo said under his breath. "What's the plan after this?" Mooo shouted over the buzz of the jeep and the chainsaw to the driver.

Mozz continued his way to the blazing plains crouched low, spotting Veronica still in front of him he also stood up if not for the unfamiliar sounds of a locomotive wising by. Mozz looked backed to Jackknife, the first enemy they’ve seen yet. “Well it looks like we might not be able to just prance through the fields.” He smiled, “So any ideas?”

Things were falling apart as the s**t was hitting the fan but Quin was happy. Stopping the jeep but keeping the motor running he got out and looked at Mooo.

"Well my friend, we have a job to perform."

Looking down the line as far as the eye could see Quin studied himself as beads of sweat formed across his face and froze, his teeth chattered and his breath steamed the air. But the results of this arcane magic would be seen for in a flat line across the field far quicker then the jeep could have worked Quin had flattened the grass.

"Burn it, I'll put it out then we'll do the other side and fall back and do the rear guard."

So like there she was just hanging out with her cat...

And then like, bam man, the sound of a chainsaw in the distance. Cause everyone knows that sound. And like everyone who has every heard that sound she responded in the best possible fashion.

"What the..." Glance over to see the advancing texas chainsaw murderer guy. "Man what is this s**t?" Veronica while not particularly bright, was by no means an absolute idiot. This was a bad situation for her and she knew it.

Should come as no suprize when she hugged her tiger's neck and screamed for it to "Hurry the ******** up and go!" It would be a bumpy ride as she set off in some random direction, this one just so happened to be towards the Sunrise River.

About this...
I am not out of the thread yet. I'm making a run for it yeah, but not out of it yet. Feel free to interrupt this movement however you choose. If you can catch up to a running tiger of course.

-Will wait for everyone to post and see what goes down-

Shade smirked inside of his mask, the sound of the vehicle's approach was very easy to pick out from the background noise as it overpowered it greatly. The mechanation came to a halt, and he pulled his rifle, zooming in on it. It only took him a second to pick out what he wanted to do, and so he decided on it. The grass about him was, tall but at his height he towered over it by a good foot or so. So this shot would indeed be a simple one, all he had to do was pull the trigger. Looking in on the front of the jeep in question, he placed the reticle of his rifle down range on it. Aiming for the engine, the Vindicare pulled the trigger. There was a flash of light from the end of his invisible rifle as the massive .75 cal bullet flew out of it's barrel and down range. But there was no noise, strange wasn't it? Once the recoil had been dispersed seconds later, the Vindicare crouched down into the grass and shuffled off to a new spot.

Jacknife crouched low in the tall grasses next to Mozz. "Looks like we got some company allright. They've spotted veronica too, and I dont like the look of that chainsaw. There's somebody off away from the others using some kind of power. I think it may be invisability." Jacknife shifted his gun to where it was ready to fire. "For now I think we dont attack, but dont give your position away either."

"Dammit, chainsaw boy! It's called sneaking!"

Getting up out of the grass, Hein glared at Shouyin before looking over at the fleeing tiger rider. Watching her retreating back, he smiled in appreciation as he cocked his head to the side before wading through to her. If it were any other scenario, he'd have hit on her, but this was a war, and she was a target. That was that...but there was always time for a little flirting here and there.

"Hey! Mind slowing down just a bit? I'd like a better view."

Considering how tall the grass was, tall enough to hide a man the only portion of the jeep that would show would be the very top of it. The entire view of the jeep was obscured and so any shot taken would be a shot in the dark. The bullet would instead strike the jeep but failed to perform anything more then put a hole in both doors and fly out the other side.

Quin though was busy even as the crack of a projectile flew through the air. Turning about he repeated the same maneuver to flatten that grass. The fireline would be ready, all they needed to do was burn what was there.

When Mooo would light the depressed grass Quin would smoother it with the same force as before.

Shouyin

Shouyin frowned, furrowing his brow as he focused across the grass. The tiger and its rider had retreated and another threat revealed. Using Sokugoku one spot of Shade revealed him entirely to the half-golem, and that rifle was looking pretty vicious. The first shot had already gone off, but he wouldn't mind distracting the guy long enough to prevent another.

So, much in the manner of those disc throwers, Shou would hop forward, make a big three-sixty spin, and chuck the revving chainsaw at Shade. There was still a fair amount of distance between them, but it had to be less than 600m (assuming Shade's rifle's effective range, the location of the jeep and the fact that Shou's between both things), and the half-golem was Hella strong, so if the sniper stayed still then it was fairly likely to hit.

"SNIPER!" the man would yell immediately after letting the 'saw fly, pulling the rifle from his back and shouldering it, taking aim as he continued running towards Shade on a slight angle.
