Hello. I love ethnic foods, like Japanese food, Chinese food, Thai, Indian, Mexican, ext. And I was wondering how you guys feel about it, what ethnic foods you like best, and if you have any recipes. I have a recipe for Thai Green Curry Chicken that I'm going to put up once I find it xp . I also have some others. My parents constantly buy stuff for Stir-fry and Thai foods, and I have alot of foreign snacks around (Like the all-powerfull Pocky! xd )

I am a SLAVE to soul food. Both of my grandmothers are from the south (North Carolina & Texas--in order of who I like most *giggle*) and my mother and father brought their taste for fried, hearty goodness to our family. We always balanced it with healthy alternatives to the fattier and more damaging ingredients.

I am also EXTREMELY fond of Korean food. My best friend is Korean-American and a GREAT cook. She cooks what I'd call K-centric American, as she throws things into the pan they'd NEVER have in Korea. (Like artichoke hearts and green olives with chyajung myon.) I'm always trying to force-feed people kimchee when they're sick. I don't care what ANYONE says--kimchee lettuce and/or cabbage wraps are the BOMB.

And we can't forget Moroccan! OMG They give you the SWEETS first when you eat at the restaurant and I love that trick with the teacups! The bellydancing beauties don't hurt either.

Um... Whatelse. I guess I love Japanese, but I cook that myself, so I don't really think about it so much as being an ethnic food I love... However, Hunan Chinese and dim-sum (esp chicken feet) are SO FREAKING GOOD!

Must show love for the New York Jewish-Deli foods out there -- lox, kreplach, kishka, chopped liver, the whole nine. It's a very special part of American-Ethnic cuisine that doesn't get enough recognition!

i'm not a huge fan of asian foods, like different kinds of rice dishes or noddle-based meals. i'm more of a carnivore when it comes to that kind of cuisine. the desserts aren't too bad either. i love european foods, namely hungarian, of which is my descent. perhaps i'll post some recipes som time soon!

I hate European restaurants unless their food is really really good, the reason for this is you pay 20 bucks for a bowl of pasta while you could pay 65 cents for pasta from like trader joes, get some bread for like 2 bucks, a lettuce bag for 4 bucks but your porportion would cost like 50 cents and thats it, mabye some sparlkling water, adding up to less than 5 bucks for a COMPLETE meal with PLENTY of leftovers, so ive never found good reason for going to a place like Ilfornio when i could make a as good meal at home and if it tastes bad, you have no one to blame but yourself, I do go to other restaurant's like sushi bars, now there is a good reason to spend 20 bucks, cause they know what theyre doing, and nothing beats havin sushi in a sushi restaurant like the same with tacos and mexican restarunts like JIMBOYS mmmmmmmmmm

i'm not really a restaurant-going person, but when i do eat out i have a tendency to go for the plain old McDo, or for something a little better i'd get Subway. but i love sushi. i could eat it everyday. i should try eating for ethnic fast food stuff...

I'm a big fan of Asian food... Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese are favorites. French cooking is delightful, so is Greek and Italian. Spanish is rather nice as well, had spanish snails once xD The flavor wasn't bad but the texture was like rubber. Oh, and there's Turkish food as well! They invented Turkish Delight, scoring a few points there ^__^
Some Swedish food is pretty nice too (I'm Swedish) Like Västerbotten Cheese Pie with fresh roe, chopped red onion and sour cream... ^_^ And there's Swedish waffles with Cloudberry jam, and blood pudding (yes, Blood pudding, and it's actually really good biggrin ) with cabbage and lingonberry jam <3
