I am no alchemist. My friend and I tried to transmute things at school, with no success. But we believe the reason is that we can't draw perfect circles yet.
Mainly, I want to no if anyone else has tried this and actually did it, and have tips, or if others have also failed.

my friend tried to do that once. my other friend spilled fruit punch on my head and then she drew a circle and tryed to transmute me clean like Ed did in one episode. it didnt work sweatdrop

I once looked into true alchmey and it would be a lot of chemecals needed for it to work right.

Wait, when u say u tried to transmute stuff, do u mean u actually drew the circle, then put something in the centre and tried to summon a deeper power within urself and hopefully u could've transmuted something? eek
Please tell me that ur doing that for jokes right??
Alchemy does exist but not in the way fma portrays it... u CAN do alchemy, but not the way ed does it... u do it with lots of test tubes and other materials for chemistry. Alchemy came from the word alchemistry so.... alchemy is chemistry...

Ok alchemy in FMA is not what real alchemy was and alchemy now is chemistry...but anyway to mess around once I took a piece of paper drew Roys Transmutation circle on it and took a lighter and touched the paper and caught it on fire with the lighter...I was trying to get my brother to belive me but he said, "It was the lighter...it was the lighter!" So yeah it didn't work very well...then I took some water and put it out...I told my mom and she said that it was funny but why would I show my brother how to play with fire and I was like...oops never thought of that...

I tryed to, but im too lazy. and i have to get dried herbs. blaugh but i have books.... and web sites, but no money crying

never tried doing REAL alchemy with all the herbs and stuff ,but i tried drwing roy circle and tried to do it. it did not work. sadly crying

I"ve done alchemy....i made a cake. i mean hey alchemy did originate in the kitchen. so technically i have done alchemy....most of us have if we've done cooking....or taken part in chemistry class....lol but alchemy doesn't work like it does in FMA tecnically you could pull of all the stuff that they do in the anime....if you took a tank of oxygen and set it up so you could make a spark with some flint attached to your gloves and snapped then the air would combust...but thats dangerous...so i don't reccomend you do that... lol-chemy
