Welcome to the OGAWG Suggestion Box! It's time for our sleepy little artwhores to wake up and shake their groove thang.
Y'all gotta admit that, debates aside, it's been a little dead up in hurr*. So Raesha and I were trying to cook up some things we can do to add a little spice to our artwhoring lives. And so far? We've got nothin'.
So this is where you guys come in! Help the guild by suggesting events, new permanent threads, or anything else you can think of that might make this guild more fun and active. Fo' shizzle my nizzle!*
* I will maim myself for typing like this later.

xD xD...ideas, you say...maybe a permanent minishop subforum for the art-gifted art whores in the guild? drawing, writing, sculptures, everything they want xD xD....later we could make a joint auction to raise our art-whoring funds xD xD also, some contests could bring some attention....like....'this month contest, featuring Mekania. In her character's story, who was her first friend?' questions like this, with a prize in golds/sealed letters/something or art from somebody, first correct anwser wins...this could also make the art whores more interested in each other, and provoke some discussion xD xD ...yup...stupid ideas attack xDDD!

I don't know if this could really be classified as an "event" or just "wishful thinking" on my part, but I'd love to swap characters with someone - sort of. Mm. Now I need to explain myself ...
Basically the idea is sort of like cosplaying a character, I suppose - I'd love to commission something with my character wearing another character's clothes (or a variation) or vice versa (come on, who doesn't want a star over their right eye? (; All right ...). This is a potentially convoluted idea that might appeal to maybe one person (likely just me), but since this is the only chance I'll have to say it, there it is (;
Now for a less convoluted idea: ... erm, I'll come back to this (:

Maybe there should be a permanent thread for things like debates or anything that me be debate-related or specific to dealing with happenings in art transactions? Gosh, that sounded boring ... Anyway, the last debate of sorts ended abruptly with a "final say" and no way for any other participants to respond - obviously it was a personal thread, but it seemed a bit discouraging to discussion to have it end like that, particularly when it was started to ask for opinions (having said that - maybe a rant space is what is really needed?). LittleDream xD xD....well, I could try that just for fun^^.... Thank you for humouring me (; We'll have to work something.

Rant forums are just flame bait >.>;
I'd love to see the MAE come back, that was a lot of fun. Maybe a permanent thread just for sharing shops and artists? Seems that artist sharing gets spread out across This Just in, Chatterbox, and Links, but it's an important part of the guild in my opinion. 3nodding

Anetra_Pendragon Rant forums are just flame bait >.>; Potentially? Hopefully anyone who had a rant would do it with a certain level of grace ... <- good grief, I'm delirious (; Anyway, my suggestion only comes from the fact the last "debate" (which I wasn't part of, so my view has no basis in participation) seemed like more of a rant thread at the end rather than an opinion-based/seeking one since the ability to share opinions came to an end (I know the topic probably didn't have anywhere else to go except downwards at that point, but still).

I moderated Neverwinter Nights server forums for about 3 years. Rant forums are flame bait. No matter how innocent your intention may be, the day will come.
Regarding that specific thread, well, I like Lilithia a lot and I do NOT mean to be negative toward her in any way, shape or form, nor is it my desire to give an analasys on the thread or peoples responses. Nor am I saying that anyone should have handled the situation any differently. HOWEVER. The particular slant that thread took does reinforce my opinion that a rant forum would not go well.
The problem is that as soon as you name something "rants", you are inviting in a whole darker side to the word, and practically welcoming the flames. Regardless of what your intent may have been, in my experience, under no circumstances should you ever label a forum as being for rants and expect constructive conversation out of it.

I'm definitely in agreement with anetra here. The occassional art discussion threads seemed to have worked in the past when they were seeking help. I'm with you on the fact that the last thread did seem to end a little abruptly but eh. Nothing we can do about that.
On another note, all your questions in the chatterbox thread made me think about having a "Storytelling" thread where we can all talk about our characters and things like that. Yay or nay?

Yay or nay? hm...good idea, but how to organise it? will it be one thread with questions at the beginning, one thread where people just talk, or a subforum where everyone has a seperate thread for the story? I would prefer the second option...besides if there was a contest with questions about characters , options 1 and 3 would make it too easy >.>....but things like this are in other guilds too, so it's better to ask xD xD
