Hobbies:Architecture -- Ariel’s father runs a construction company and, though his father’s plan was for him to one day take over, Ariel was more passionate about the design than the physical labor to create it. This was the closest he could get to supporting the family business and making his parents happy without driving himself mad. Though he forced himself to be interested, he did develop a genuine interest in unconventional designs, and though he treats it as a means to an end he is passionate about it. He was pursuing a degree but had to take a break for personal reasons and, given how much time he’s invested in it, he would
like to pick it back up again when things calm down.
Furniture -- Upholstery, repair, and restoration is of great interest to Ariel. He would have much rather gone into interior decoration or creating stage sets professionally but instead pushed too hard for a ‘respectable’ position. He likes the sustainability of recycling and reusing pre-existing furniture and he enjoys taking their skeleton to make something new. He likes to breathe fresh life into old pieces while respecting their history and origins.
Sketching -- Ariel likes designing things; he likes the fusion of art and practicality. He likes drawing inspiration from multiple elements to create something new. As such, he often takes pictures of things that inspire him or sketches out his interpretation of them. He succeeds more in capturing ideas and inspiration than true to life pictures of what’s in front of him, but he rarely takes more than a few moments to sketch something out. His mind is always moving so he likes to doodle to keep himself busy and focused on something when he’s overthinking things.

Flaws: Guarded -- While Ariel has a friendly exterior, he is often a bit guarded when it comes to personal things. His friendships are often superficial and he tries not to make close attachments. Skeptical -- Nothing is what it seems. Ariel expects the worst, and though it is exhausting and leaves him tired and worn down, he can’t trust anything at face value. He questions every act of kindness or good gesture and often winds up overthinking things. He can be a little judgemental and critical and he can’t help but expect the worst. He is relentlessly doubtful and can’t help but be a bit unenthusiastic about the good things that come his way. He can ask too many questions and be too resistant to people being friendly or kind and wind up chasing them away.
Nervous -- Ariel is often on edge; being prepared for everything and expecting the worst has left him on edge and often worried about nothing. He might be alert and observant, but it comes at cost of being perpetually jumpy. He is untrusting and wary and his nervousness often makes him flighty or even unreliable. He can complicate things unnecessarily and will often cancel at the last minute. He is high stress to be around because he always seems like something is about to go wrong.
