Rosaline || MarethariAnderfels : Grey Warden Headquarters Rosa was not quite sure what she had been expecting when the names had been brought to her desk for this merry band of miscreants. She knew she could trust Nikolaus to an extent… and Mareth’s proposal of sending Naeva on this mission also tipped the scales … Though in what direction she was not sure, as the two of them were a powder keg waiting to burst at any moment… Then there were the Orlesians. Where she herself had no love for them whatsoever, they would prove useful in tracking down the artifacts they were seeking as well as following the clues that could lead to where the Sleeping Arch-Demons slumber. But then there was the mage that her husband had suggested tag along. All of this seemed like a jester’s performance, but she did not have the men to spare on making a full squadron of Grey Wardens. Gathering up the parchment on the table, she began to make her way out to the courtyard where the merry band awaited, Mareth standing watch over them all to ensure no one started a fight. The last thing she would need were other Wardens to step in and break up the fight and get injured… As she arrived, she glanced over the small group, mismatched in armor and backgrounds. Androstate help her. “Thank you all for coming at the request of your Lords and Sponsors.” she said looking across the group, hesitating on a few faces. “Or… just coming out of sheer curiosity.” Clearing her throat she looked to Mareth as the Dalish Keeper joined her at the front of the group. “Hello, I am Rosaline… First Warden in command. As you may have discerned from the information you have been given, it is our hope to seek out the remaining two Arch-Demons. Our hope is to be able to monitor and prevent any possibility of their awakening and forgoing another Blight. We are unsure of the locations of the Tombs that hold them, though we have gotten hails for aid from Navarra and the Deep Roads due to a rise in Darkspawn activity underground.” She paused, waiting to see if anyone had comment or question about the information. “We have also heard of an ancient artifact of the Grey Wardens that is in circulation in Antiva and Rivain that may prove useful in locating the missing tombs as well.” It wasn’t much information and Rose knew that, but this was all that they could go on for now. As Rosa finished up, she turned to look at the Dalish elf. Mareth nodded, stepping forward to address the group. “We are also asking that you keep your eyes open for any Nomadic tribes that are migrating through the northern continent, as of recent some know of a safe haven within Ferelden for elves to seek a life of peace. We ask that if you come across any of these tribes, you direct them to Crow, so she can communicate the location with them. In your search for artifacts, I ask that if you find any of Dalish origin that you secure them and bring them to Ferelden. With our newfound alliance with the Hierarchy of Ferelden we wish to reclaim our history.” Mareth finished a stern smile on her face. Rose glanced over the group, her red hair framing her face. “Any questions?”

⤷ tab tab Nikolaus had arrived to the designated meeting area and had been sitting idly since there was nothing really to do that he would have been able to accomplish before the meeting start. The group had come in one by one he and Naeva being the first two to have arrived. This is only of course due to the people they knew and he pretty much had to have a babysitter as he put it he was going to be around others after the incident that landed him in this spot. It had been quite some time and he enjoyed fighting but he still had to be watched so he didn’t get out of hand. The group seemed to start to slowly leak into the room and it was going to have the meeting start soon. Rosaline was the first to speak up about the details of the mission after thanks were given for coming even if it was just out of sheer curiosity.
⤷ tab tab She spoke her piece “Hello, I am Rosaline… First Warden in command. As you may have discerned from the information you have been given, it is our hope to seek out the remaining two Arch-Demons. Our hope is to be able to monitor and prevent any possibility of their awakening and forgoing another Blight. We are unsure of the locations of the Tombs that hold them, though we have gotten hails for aid from Navarra and the Deep Roads due to a rise in Darkspawn activity underground.” He sat and listened absorbing the information. His mission at this point as a warden was to prevent and defeat blights that may pop up. Then the mention of a warden artifact that could locate the missing tombs. It would come in handy but he doubted they would be the only ones after the artifact.
⤷ tab tab In his own mind this was going to be a mission that may as well have been labled a suicide mission. There had to have been more that wasn’t being mentioned in the meeting and the others aside from Naeva he didn’t know and didn’t trust. Hell he barely trusted himself let alone this powder keg of a new squad. There was bound to be trouble and there were very few ways in the field that trouble would be okay. He shook his head and looked around the room as the talking continued. The next to talk however was the Dalish elf. She had a side mission if they were to run across a group of traveling elfs. In your search for artifacts, I ask that if you find any of Dalish origin you secure them and bring them to Ferelden. With our newfound alliance with the Hierarchy of Ferelden we wish to reclaim our history.” Well he had no questions and it all seemed to be fairly straightforward with them but he doubted it... Yet he wasn’t going to be the one to ask questions about the mission and any secrets that may be hiding in the background.

ʟᴏᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ: Meeting Location _____ ᴄᴏᴍᴘᴀɴʏ: No one who matters. _____ ᴍᴏᴏᴅ: Annoyed _____ ᴀʀᴍᴏʀ:Wearing | Staff

To say Sabine wasn't thrilled with this new found mission. The idea of traveling with a bunch of strangers, those who were likely below her, was not appealing. The part that was appealing was the promise of power that she would be given. The chance to be offered a spot that she couldn't turn down. Sabine always wanted to become known, the power that she held brought forward as something stronger. With family members holding spots on the Magister, she would use this to her advantage, it just meant she had to jump through hoops and this new mission was several hoops. The Tevinter Imperium mage had to take on a different persona for this mission, which wasn't abnormal. Sabine had to had to hide part of herself. Blood magic, beyond the Tevinter Imperium, was illegal and she would be killed. Luckily, magic was second nature to Sabine. Her teacher taught her a variety of different magic in order to not only increase her power, but keep herself safe. It was rather unfortunate, blood magic was fun and exciting. Watching people squirm from it was such a thrill.
The golden armor clung to her body, the shoes making a clacking sound as she approached the meeting point she received in the letter. Her large staff in her hand, the dagger attached to her hip. She wasn't the first to arrive, nor the last. There were already two standing there. A rather large human, someone that Sabine knew that she was going to have a lot of fun with and some smaller female, her face and head covered. Interesting. What was the woman hiding? Not that Sabine cared all too much. She had one job, and one job alone. find the gods using this team assembled by the Wardens. Not the best way, but it was going to be a lot easier than for her doing it alone. Hopefully, if she was lucky, there wouldn't be any elves, not that they would last long anyways. It wouldn't take a lot for her to take one out, carefully.
Silence was between the small group as she took a seat near a stone bench, one leg crossing over the other as she gave a small smirk over towards the human as the others started to show. What an interesting, and yet terrible group. Unfortunately for Sabine, there was an elf that joined them. Luckily, they didn't seem to be a direct part of the group. There no hiding the look of disgust as the elf spoke. She deserved nothing more to be on her knees, cleaning her boots. Then again, they always did an awful job at it. Sabine was starting to miss the ones she had at her home. Maybe it would be fun to have one join the party. It would give her a fun toy to ******** around with. The faint screams echoed through her thoughts, the disgusted look turning into an evil smirk, a glimmer in her eye as she turned her head to hide behind the loose strands of her black hair. She had to be careful not to blow her cover. She wanted the title she was promised upon this successful mission.
"I have a question." Her voice showing nothing but confidence as she stood up, taller than the elf but she paid her no attention as she directed her attention to the Warden. "What are you not telling us? Clearly, this isn't all the information you have. If so, you're throwing us into something that you're too scared to do yourself." Sabine's mouth was used for two things, being blunt and getting herself in trouble. If this was the group, they were going to need her. "And it would be an awful shame if the First Warden was scared. So tell us, what are you not telling us."

Ar tu na alan'el shemlen… ______________________________________________________________________ Elvhen Survivor / / Dalish Savage / / Brawling Mage
The journey from the Wilds had been pleasant. A couple weeks of traveling through the woods and rivers of Ferelden. Stopping only to rest, eat, and commune with the spirits of the world. Meditating and training beneath dense canopies. Kept company by the critters, creatures, and beasts of the land. There was one instance where a group of traveling merchants had wandered near her camp one morning. But she’d managed to divert them by imitating the howls and snarls of predators too fierce to risk contesting with. A useful trick that had protected her from society more than once.
As she neared her destination she slowed her pace of travel. She didn’t want to just walk in. Knyves was not educated in the contemporary sense. But her years of experience in fighting, stalking, hunting, and stealth had manifested in her a talented tactician. She assessed the numbers first. Choosing to keep her distance. Making sure to slowly circle the encampment and staying well within open view. No need to give the impression that she was the enemy. There weren’t nearly as many Wardens as she’d imagined there would be. Then again the fact that the Wardens endured at all was a testament to their resilience.
The party which accompanied them seemed an ill-matched gaggle of individuals…but some of the greatest clans were formed in much the same way. Who was she to judge?
After confirming that this was no Shemlen death trap, Knyves chose to approach, and join the rest of the band. She arrived just in time for Rosalina—First Warden—to begin speaking. Once or twice in her life Knyves had been told by others that her features were too delicate, and her face too attractive for them to believe she was a killer. She’d always found such presumptions to be ridiculous. But looking at this woman, now, she could see how others would arrive at such a conclusion. Still. Beneath the alluring visage Knyves could hear the warrior in her voice. Hear the weight of a bloodied world behind her words.
Then stepped forth the Keeper. Knyves instinctively looked away. Navigating around those who stood to listen. Keeping them between herself and the two leaders who spoke to them. Every other pair of eyes and whispered voice were as the wind to her. A meaningless cacophony of ill will and prejudice. That’s all she ever expected from most. There were a few unique looking individuals among the Wardens encamped there. A woman with her hood pulled over her head. A Warden who stood vigilant; personifying the oath he swore alike his comrades. A mage who smelled of wealth and splendor. More still.
Knyves herself wore her usual attire. A raiment of great bear hide which clung tight to her body, and was loose only at the knees. Her ankles and wrists were adorned with Ironbark plates. Her silver hair was long enough to sway around her waist; and the white vallaslin across her face was well fitting. She carried a pack made from a combination of Wyvern scales and Basilisk hide. Most unusual about her, perhaps, was her weapon. Or rather the absence of it. For she carried no staff, no sword, no dagger, and no shield. Yet her body was riddled with scars born of primal elements, steel, wood, claw, and fang alike.
When the Keeper was finished talking an individual stepped forward. Some rich Ferelden. Who knows? Knyves noted the manner in which the woman didn’t so much as look in the Keeper’s direction. Another elf-hating Shem. At least she was pretty to look at. Knyves chose then to step forward. Moving through the crowd, and walking up to the pair of leaders. Just as Sabine finished her question Knyves interrupted them by walking an inch or two forward of Sabine. Making sure not to so much as even glance in the direction of the affluent mage.
“Knyves.” She smacked her collar with her fist once to give gesture to her greeting. “Ready when you are.” With that Knyves nodded her head towards Rosalina, and turned to leave them to their affairs. Knyves nodded a silent farewell to the Keeper; and then gave one more glance towards Rosalina. Knyves then trudged over to the nearest patch of shade; and sat down onto the earth. Waiting to be called into action.

тнeмe : tab ⌜HAUNTED AND UNWANTED⌟ tab locaтιon : tab ⌜Weisshaupt, Anderfels ⌟ tab ooc : tab ⌜ Clothing ⌟ tab
⤷ tab tab It had been a long time coming… Two years ago they had departed the Brecilian Forest with a few of their best hunters to make their way to Weisshaupt. Rose had met them on the south side of Orlais to ensure their safe passage into the Anderfels without worry of any Slavers or Mercenaries that were wandering the lands… Though they were not what the escaped elf were truly afraid of though. She knew the reach of the Ravens… let alone the Crows that would do anything for a coin and favor from those snakes. Closing her eyes as she waited for Rosa to join Marethari at the front of the small group.
⤷ tab tab Her amethyst eyes scanned the small gathering of people that were joining the mission that Rose had posted a year ago. Things never went the way any of them planned, they call to prepare for the next blight fell on deaf hears, as many people did not want to send their loved ones, competent people, or able bodied slaves to become Wardens. Naeva could hear the exhaust in Marethari’s voice as she tried to assure everyone that Rose would be on her way soon. Paperwork was holding her up, as it always did. Soon the red haired woman appeared, taking place near the Dalish Elf keeper.
⤷ tab tab The presentation ended, and the first to speak was a human woman wearing armor that displayed she came from somewhere with wealth. Her words were valid… but the fire that lit behind Rose’s eyes. If the First Warden wasn’t also the Queen of Fereldan, she would have probably thrown a dagger at the woman. Before Rosaline could respond though, another stepped forward from the backlines of the gathering. A Dalish elf, by the markings on her face, though Naeva could not place their Pantheon or Origin. The introduction had been short, stating that she was ready to depart when the time came, before walking back towards the shade of a tree close by.
NPC : Rosaline
⤷ tab tab Rosaline had nodded an agreement with the elf, her sharp green eyes turning to the woman who had asked a question. “That is all the information we have as that is all that we were given.” she said letting out a breath. “This mission was to be performed by a squadron of Grey Wardens, in order to prevent the next blight that could start at any point in time. No one has ever located a sleeping Archdemon until it is close to or is awakened. “As for fear, I do not have any what so ever. I have already fought in one blight, am trying to recruit more soldiers to aid for the day that the blight does come while also running this band of miscreants and ensuring that my kingdom stays afloat. I would much rather be slitting the throats of darkspawn than dealing with paperwork and politics.” She admitted, her voice staying level and calm. “So unless you want to take care of all of that for me while I go out on this mission, be my guest… Be warned though, My husband is not the brightest of the Royalty in the land. If your fear is the dangers of Darkspawn, know that Niko is a very capable Warden and is going in my stead. ”
⤷ tab tab Waiting to see if anyone else had any questions she looked at the four standing in front of her. “Tonight, you will all be able to rest in a private Barracks. There you will find some paperwork in order for us to find your next of kin if anything were to happen. As well as a parchment for you to request any weapons, armor or regiments you may need for your journey. If you are a mage, write down what you need. Every bit of help to prevent the Archdemons from awakening is all that we ask, and hopefully more will join you in this task. Niko and Naeva… if any arrive. Let them know of the mission and have them come to my office.” With that Rose started to turn to walk towards the multi-story stone building that sat on the top of the hill. Marethari in tow to aid with any preparations needed, leaving the group with the tense silence of Rose’s words and the mission at hand.

⤷ tab tab Jensen was hardly unfamiliar with being offered a role amongst strangers for a limited period of time. The man had a set of skills that made him desirable to those in the know. Reading people, playing people, dealing with people. Manipulation was a game that he grew up around. Travelling the seas, fighting for his life and earning his keep among other outlaws, he needed to be able to quickly identify the threats and how to deal with them. Such was the life of a pirate and rogue.
⤷ tab tab Having been on the tail end of another job when he'd decided to answer the call for assistance. Despite the various sources he reached out to, not many could seem to provide much information to what the mission entailed. A mystery. Jensen hated when he did not know something. Yet, as fate would have it, he would not get the details or information on the mission directly from those that posted it.
⤷ tab tab Sauntering into the encampment, Jensen seemed radiate a sickeningly friendly atmosphere about him. Greeting those that he passed as if they were friendly neighbors. The man had long since learned, it was better to play the friendly fool, than bring unnecessary hostility. After all, a backstab was always more effective from a friend, than enemy. Passing an elven woman and human. Jensen could not help but compliment them on their beauty as he passed, and continued towards the designated meeting location. Taking a mental note on both of them, before continuing.
⤷ tab tab Arriving at the meeting location, Jensen proudly announced his appearance, "Hello, I have arrived. The dashing and deadly swashbuckler of the Waking Sea! Of course you can also just refer to me as, Jensen. But, I do feel like the title adds a little flair that many enjoy." The man bloated his Orlesian accent thick, before looking around at the company he was currently in. Raising his brows, and clearing his throat. "It is a little tense, and awkward no? . . I'm late?" Pausing slightly, before seemingly answering his own question, "I'm late."

LOCATION Weisshaupt, Anderfels | COMPANY people who showed up | EMOTION Uneasy letsgetdrunkThe travel had been the more boring part—any other day, she’d say that without fail. Walking or sailing or riding, it wasn’t as thrilling as a fight or a brawl, or a night in a tavern. But right now in the room with a few others, waiting in the tension of strangers, Hissera would say this was more boring than the travel here. And more than once she’d found herself wondering why she’d come to this meeting in the first place. It wasn’t her usual affair, choosing to continue on her personal crusade instead of leaping into another’s. Of course, in the back of her mind she could hear one or both of her parents’ voices echoing the danger of darkspawn… so perhaps, she reasoned, that was why she’d decided to attend when she’d caught wind from a contact of hers.
letsgetdrunkAnd when they were finally joined by someone who seemed to exude some modicum of authority—other than the Dalish Elf, a Keeper if Hissera had heard correctly—and some introductions were had. The large Vashoth woman crossed her arms as she listened to first one woman and then the other speak: one outlining the main mission, and the other alerting them to another. As she mulled over the thing, finding herself having not just one question, but also no attention to words to form them, Hissera lifted her right hand to her mouth and started to chew on her thumb—first the nail and then the skin on tip. This actually sounded dangerous, and yeah, she wouldn’t admit to being frightened at the prospect of dying doing said mission… but it was still—it felt larger than her hunting down slavers.
letsgetdrunkThis was something they were being asked to do to prevent the next Blight, something that could very well end life on Thedas for all those who weren’t darkspawn. It was a little anxiety inducing to think about the implications of it all—would her going even help them achieve or fail? Did she want that kind of weight on her shoulders? Would she be able to live with herself if she didn’t go and then the next Blight—something she could’ve helped prevent—killed thousands of innocent people? Or perhaps do as she’d been told and end life as it’s known? She probably wouldn’t be able to live with herself, but then again, she wouldn’t live long enough after that point to actually care.
letsgetdrunkHissera looked at every one else in the group in the courtyard, taking a moment to make her own judgements once again about those who’d chosen to join the attempt at the mission. There were few who genuinely looked like they belonged there, few that seemed to believe they belonged there with no hesitation (and a bit of entitled audacity mixed in), some strange outliers, and then her. She hesitated to think these people would even deign to trust her enough to allow her assistance. I’m already here, might as well help out.
letsgetdrunkA few others had been talking while she’d been stuck in her own head and she found herself tuning back into the conversation as the human woman in flashy and gold armor, of all things, seemed to goad the First Warden. To which the other woman responded in kind—Hissera found herself holding in a snort of amusement at the interaction. And then it seemed all too soon, they were left alone with each other again. She looked around again at the others, with nothing to say.
letsgetdrunkIt was only a few moments later someone else sauntered into the room—and sauntered was definitely the word Hissera would have used to describe the individual who arrived in the courtyard just after the leading two had vacated. She was sure he truly believed himself to be dashing and so on and so forth—but Hissera rolled her eyes and stood from her place leaning against… something. A half-way or maybe it could’ve been a tall bench. ”I need a drink,” she said, more to herself than anyone else. ”Just a teensy weensy bit late, yes,” she continued with a smirk. ”Name’s Hissera,” she said a bit louder, a statement made to all those in the band of miscreants as the First Warden had referred to them. ”Is it worth discussing game plans until we’re dispatched? Or shall we jump on everyone’s favorite pastime of group bonding? Personally, I’d rather stab out my own eyes than go ‘round a table asking people their likes and dislikes, but if that table had ale… I’d consider it.” She’d taken another step forward away from her perch against a half-way and looked at all those still in the courtyard and awaited someone’s decision. Hopefully, someone had an idea of what entertainment they could find besides going to their private rooms and making the probably correct decision of preparing for the following days in the way the First Warden had suggested.

COMPANY ❀ THE CREW AND A COUPLE NPCS LOCATION ❀ ANDERFELS - WEISSHAUPT FORTRESS OOC ❀ LYRANA ARRIVES~!
Weisshaupt Fortress was... admittedly not a place Lyrana had ever imagined herself, but there she was with a handful of a few others, waiting to be briefed on their mission. Weisshaupt Fortress, of course, was the Grey Wardens' headquarters, but it seemed the order was looking for outsiders for this particular job rather than selecting people from within its ranks. Why? Lyrana wasn't sure, but while she had no interest in joining the order itself (or even attempting it), the Wardens were one of the few groups who simply didn't care that she was an apostate. Still, her habit of hiding persisted, so while everyone filed into the briefing chamber, the little elf tucked herself away, practically peeking out from behind a giant, horned woman. Sure, she was tall and intimidating, but from what the blonde could tell, she was not a templar, so... she was probably safe!
The First Warden spoke first. Stopping the next Blight before it could happen? That sounded like a very Grey Wardenish thing to do, and it checked off all the boxes for Lyrana. For someone who needed to lie low to avoid the Chantry, the elf had the bad habit of sticking her nose in where it didn't belong with the intention of helping people whether they wanted it or not. Preventing a Blight? That helped everyone. Then, the one called Marethari spoke her piece. For a moment, Lyrana didn't hear a thing she said. The little mage was too busy admiring her beauty. Her accent, her vallaslin... her elfiness. She was so breathless in her presentation. The girl only caught the latter half of it, but of course that was enough to really catch her interest. A chance to join the Dalish when this job was done and the possibility of helping them (and herself) reclaim their history? Yes, please!
An opportunity to ask questions arrived, but a dark-haired human woman asked what she was wondering. She used more words, and she was a little more prickly than Lyrana would've been in asking, but the inquiry was met with... nothing, really. That was all the information the First Warden and Queen of Ferelden had? The young lady wasn't sure she believed that, but if asking nicely wasn't going to get the woman to share what information she may or may not have had, then nothing was going to. The time to ask questions, however, seemed to turn into a chance for introductions after Rosaline and Marethari took their leave. The little lady made note of everyone's introductions and names as they came, including a human who sauntered in a little too casually for someone who was so late. Or maybe that was her uptight Circle training rearing its head.
Lyrana perked up at the thought over everyone going around and sharing something about themselves but deflated a little when she realized the tall woman only listed the activity ironically, displeasure dripping from her words. Even though that was exactly what she'd done? Her name was Hissera, and she liked alcohol. Jensen was some manner of rogue? Knyves was... ready when they were. Was it her turn? "Then... I'm Lyrana! I do the healy bits," the blonde finally stepped out from her hiding place, her fingers wiggling with her last couple words before she continued, a bright smile on her face, "I'm looking forward to working with everyone!"

⤷ tab tab Niko stood near Naeva as the First Warden spoke followed by the keeper of the elves. Doing their best to inform the group of what was being looked for and done in order to make sure the mission moved along hopefully without a hitch. But that was until the first person to speak was decorated in gold armor and held an attitude as if she was the the most important person in the entire room. "What are you not telling us? Clearly, this isn't all the information you have. If so, you're throwing us into something that you're too scared to do yourself." She also had a quick follow up comment more than anything "And it would be an awful shame if the First Warden was scared. So tell us, what are you not telling us." Niko couldnt help but scoff at the woman as she spoke so plainly as if she was forced to have been here. He wanted to say something to her and tell her to hold her tongue but that as usual might end up getting him in trouble.
⤷ tab tab He sighed silently to himself as he continued to quietly observe the room. The next to speak was another Elf who had simply said her name and that she was ready when they were. He didn’t understand the strange things that were elves even though he had known one for quite sometime now. Looking over at Naeva seeing that she was quietly observing the others as they appeared and spoke. The man holding his own observations of the others. As rose spoke once more to address the questions raised earlier by the gold armor clad woman. Obviously out of everyone here the person with the title of Queen and First Warden was going to be the one that was brave enough to have faced into at least one blight and come out on the other side. It wasn’t until he and Naeva were addressed directly that he snapped back to reality and told that should more arrive they need to be filled in on the mission that was ahead of them. “Yes ma’am.” was all the man offered in reply to the request if it could be called that.
⤷ tab tab As Rose was leaving he looked around the group once more and a new face had seemed to have joined them ever so casually. Niko looked at the man as his eyebrow quirked at his introduction but at least he knew a name to address him by. The only way that Niko however could think to describe the man was full of himself with a punchable face. Who had they been instructed to take with them? He had only wish not so long ago that it would have been another squad of Grey Wardens but alas it wasn’t it was the jolly band of misfits. “Yes, you are very late… Completely missed the mission breakdown.. But I suppose better late than never.” Was all he could say as he continued to look around. Then a large woman spoke and the first words spoke was that she needed a drink and that her name was Hissera. At least another name to a face and not some mystery character to this whole play. However he could second the option of a drink. “Personally I think that a plan can be discussed over a drink as well.. But others may have opinions of their own when it comes to that.” He still had no idea on what he was even doing at this point. Yes, he was a decent warden but he still could only guess what was even going on here with this group of people.
⤷ tab tab It almost spooked him however when another elf popped out of the shadow of the large Quanri woman and started to speak. She was cheerful which was definitely a different change of pace for him. She introduced herself as Lyrana and she from the sounds of it she did healing magic. Well that would be handy. After her introduction he at this point felt obligated to introduce himself to this makeshift band of ‘miscreants’ as Rose so lovingly put it. “I am Nikolaus a warden stationed here.” He said plainly to the group. He wasn’t here to impress anyone after all and wanted nothing more than to hurry up and get on with their mission but at the same understood the need for a night of rest and the ability to gather their stuff up before heading out on the mission.

Sabine didn't agree on the words. They didn't know anything else? If that was the truth, than they truly had no idea what they were doing and for someone who held some sort of authority was clearly a joke. Sabine couldn't avoid the snort laugh that came from her lips and nose as the other responded, an eye roll following. "Seems like someone needs to gather their knowledge before just tossing a group out on their own." she muttered, mostly to herself but also not being too careful for the others not to hear. At this moment, Sabine could care less. Thankfully, she was cut off by some overly eager elf before she could even open her mouth again. The human's eyes gave a once over of the elf, her nose curling in disgust. There were too many elves present for her liking, but as the agreement with the Magister, she would be on her best behavior and get the information they were seeking. It was all going to be worth it at the end of the travels.
With the two taking their leave, Sabine turned towards the group that remained, her eyes taking in each person, some looked weak, some looked decent and some were elves. That alone told her the group was going to struggle with what was in front of them. Granted, Sabine was here for one thing, her payment from all of this. The group took to introducing themselves, her eyes scanning as they spoke, skipping over any elf that decided to talk at that time. They needed to prove their worth and considering who they were, they had none. At least it would provide her plenty of blood to use for her own doing. The doing that no one was going to expect to be facing. Blood magic was not accepted, something that she could easily be killed for.. If she didn’t kill them first. That thought sent a smirk to her lips as the silence settled over the group.
The warden had been the last one to introduce himself, he was short and sweet and showed no emotion. Interesting. This group was going to be as boring as they would be strong. ”Ridiculous.” she grumbled in her head before forcing a small smile, a dirty look given to the elf, but returning the smile after she “addressed” her. ”I’m Sabine, an Orlesian Student.” That was all the information she planned on giving, at least to the group as a whole. It was still a question of who to trust and who to even talk to. At least some were easy to sort out and sent to the bottom of her list. Maybe, the elf could find herself easily lost in the forest. That could be a win for all of them.
Sabine’s eyes moved to the Warden, forcing yet another smile. ” Nikolous is it? Since you’re a warden here, you should be able to show us to our rooms.” It wasn’t necessarily a question, or a statement. Almost a demand, but she held it back, making it seem like a statement. The mage had to play nice with some of them in order to get what she needed done. ”Do you mind?”

Oswulf the Silver-Haired Devil Sitting on a rock with a clay cup in his hand, pouring himself a drink he looked at a shakey child in front of him Who was staring at the bodies laid out before him. Oswulf drank from his cup, standing up from the rock he sighs. Tossing a small bag of gold to the boy." Your cut.....Stop hanging out with scum like that. You'll live longer." He says he was hired by the group to do a job the kid was just the bait to lure out their target. But in the end, they wanted to cut the kid loose permanently. Being a lot of things, Oswulf was no child killer, especially to one that did their job well. Looking at the young kid, who had a s**t life for no reason. He could relate if it wasn't for his adoptive parents no telling where he would have ended up. Walking off grabbed his bag and put his cup away and the liquor bottle he was drinking from. He started to walk off, but one of the men grabbed his ankle. Looking down at him he kicked him off him after he said something about he will get his. He shook his head walking off."Yea yea...Heard it all before."He waved at them walking off, the boy looked at the gold he just ran off quickly.
For Oswulf this was days ago, he found himself traveling work wasn't tough for him to find. But he was picky about the jobs, sneaking, and being silent wasn't the play for him. He wanted a fight, wanted to fight, to push himself to his limits a breaking point he hasn't had that feeling in some time. After getting to a town, it wasn't easy for the town to stop a barfight started by Oswulf. It took several men to get Oswulf in irons and to sober him up. To think the fight started because of a drinking contest.
Oswulf had a few bounties on him, he was given a choice or rather a demand by one of the Warden that happened to be in town and one of the men that helped put an end to the bar fight. Oswulf simply laughs as he says it was harmless fun there were more bruises than dead. He jokes about it as the other men from the bar laughed at the Joking warrior. Of course, the Warden didn't have such a sense of humor.
After some small talk and making a deal with the Warden, he decided to hear him out on an Issue that some had been summoned for and others volunteered. Hopping out of the wagon just as others arrived. Oswulf walked in escorted by the Warden, listening to Rosaline talk about what needed to be done. Observing the others he sighed after hearing what was said."Jeez, I'll join to keep up your end when it's all done."He places his hand on the side of his head."I should never face the world sober."Talking to himself wondering about the courtyard. He was just here by chance but if he could clear the slate he was fine. But his mind got to thinking about this quest. Maybe he could find that fight he had been seeking. He started to grin making him excited but then relieved."Where can a guy get a drink around here?"He grumbles feeling the ill effects of being sober for too long.

⤷ tab tab Jensen could not help but shrug, as a devilish smirk snaked up his face. "Apologies, my well armored friend. There is sometimes the, how you say, complications on the road." The man said, as he strode up to the other, and patted his shoulder. "I can tell you and our new compadres about it over a tankard of ale. It'll be a fine bonding experience, no?"
⤷ tab tab It was then that Jensen's attention shifted to the woman that was demanding Nic's attention. Looking her over, in an unashamed way, greeted as he was taught to do in an all too formal manner. "Always a pleasure to see another beauty from Orlais." Pausing with a slight smile, knowing referring to himself as a beauty from Orlais. Ears perking up as a multitude of the others also suggested a drink as they discussed plans. "So it has been decided! Our new friend Sir Niko-" Pausing only to lean in and whisper to "It was Nikolhaus, yes?" Jensen asked, before nodding to himself that he was correct, and going back to his boisterous tone. Sir Nikolhaus, will treat us to many drinks and plans for our inevitable success. Jensen called out as he snaked his way away from Nikolaus and through the group.
⤷ tab tab Once the man was towards the entrance once more, he turned back and motioned for them to follow. Despite not knowing where said tavern was. "Come, come. We have no time to waste. It is my experience that the first plan never goes according to. . Plan. So we must also make a secondary plan for in case it does not go well. It is the second one that is the key. But, when it is not. That is why we shall have the third plan. The third plan never fails! And what may you ask is that plan? Well, first we must come up with the other two. . But most importantly the ale." Finishing the man turned and strode out of the meeting room, turning to continue his confident walk. Pausing and walking backwards until his head was just around the corner. Looking from person to person before he spotted Nik once more, pointing to him. "Awe, yes. I may have gotten caught up in the excitement, no? And where might the tavern be again?"

⤷ tab tab Nikolaus looked at everyone as it seemed the attention was directed to him. Rose would have left Naeva and Nikolaus in charge of being able to confirm details. And during his train of thought Sabine started to speak “Nikolaus is is? Since you’re a warden here, you should be able to show us to our rooms.” He looked at her and nodded. “Yes that's correct. Each person will have their own quarters during their stay here that is located on the first floor of the building.” Pausing for a moment before she spoke again. “Do you mind?” Looking around the room at all the new faces he turned to the door and started to make his way towards the door. He was met by another set of men.. One was late and escorted by a fellow warden and the other was Jensen who had arrived.
⤷ tab tab The first man of the set toward the back that was guided by a warden had silver hair and never introduced himself to the group. He looked around and then shot a look at the warden that asked if this was okayed by Rose to bring in some stranger that seemed to be grumbling to himself about not wanting to face the world sober. He didn't catch a whiff of alcohol on the man before he asked “Where can a guy get a drink around here?” As Niko sighed. Jensen started speaking again “Apologies my well armored friend. There is sometimes the, how you say, complications on the road.” Nikos eyebrow rose slightly more curious than anything about the ‘complications’ that Jensen was referring to. And just as he was curious about the complications Jensen made mention about being able to tell them over a tankard of ale and that it would also make a fine group bonding experience.
⤷ tab tab Jensen quickly turned away as Sabine spoke up and was asking about their quarters. He couldn’t really get a word in edgewise and listened as they spoke. And before he knew it Jensen was talking about him. And then he was almost Voluntold that he would be treating them to drinks and plans for their success. His gauntleted hand reaching up and rubbing the bridge of his nose. “Okay…. So drinks aside..” His internal thought was that they must have been obsessed alcoholics if they referred to drinks this often. “Anyways drinks aside, I will show you all to your rooms where you can drop off your stuff and then we can go to the tavern for a drink.” Before he could get started walking and leading the group Jensen was already off getting caught up in the excitement before turning and asking where the Tavern was at again.
