CONCEPT CONTEST: Winter Holiday Rehoming Event This Negaverse Agent (art by Kuropeco) has been rehomed to the shop! This character is a completely blank slate and can be brought into the shop as a brand new character. To rehome this character, the shop will be hosting a concept contest to find an invested player who will keep them in play. This concept contest is open to anyone who is not currently at or over 15 Points based on the Character Cap, and all entries must abide by the rules. Contest InformationThis contest will be open until 11:59 PM PST on Sunday, January 15th. Staff will judge entries and a winner will be announced at some time on Thursday, January 19th. Players who won a powered character in the raffle are eligible to win in this rehoming contest will not be eligible to win any art prize when the raffle is rolled at the end of the event, but they cannot be at or above the Character Cap.
Players entering to win this character will need to write a new civilian and powered profile. Players can only enter this contest once, so if you have multiple concepts, please pick the one you are most passionate about.
Entries should not be a fully fleshed out profile like you would submit for stamping; this entry should only be an outline of the character’s name, hobbies, virtues and flaws, and any information that would be relevant to establishing them as a character as included in their backstory.
There are a few major things to keep in mind when entering for any character:
Characters will need to have a full quest submitted for stamping before they can be played. Concept contest entries should be an abbreviated version of the quest you intend to submit for approval.
These characters cannot be backdated as awakening before January 1st 2022.
You may reference your own NPC characters as need be, and may include disposables in your backstory. You can reference PC characters as well, as long as you have player permission to do so.
Please make sure to follow the form below and be mindful of word count in your entry.
You can use an existing quest of yours as the basis for this character entry, but this contest requires an abbreviated version of the quest form so will require some tweaking before the entry can be accepted.
Please be aware that some rehomed art may not fit current uniform guidelines and will need to be corrected when the character grows; if you want to review Negaverse uniform guidelines, you can do so here! This can be a set of skills, history, or an event that caught someone's eye and made them seek out your character for recruitment. There are many reasons why the Negaverse might want to recruit someone, so please feel free to be creative! Winning ProceduresWhen the winning entry is selected, the player will have until the end of January to get the completed quest up for stamping. The character must be stamped before they can be ICly played.
After the winner has been announced, they will also need to save the art so it can be hosted on their own accounts.
The winning player will be able to grow on templates when the character reaches growth requirements at no cost to them; this is considered a contest win so second and third stage growths are free. When winners are announced, they will be quoted. Players cannot immediately side swap and must play in their won faction until they reach at least their second stage requirements and grow. Rehoming Other CharactersIf a player has any powered characters they would like to rehome to the shop, the shop will compensate the player with one Crown Token per powered character. If any player finds they have no muse or are stuck with a character they no longer have any desire to play, please let us know and we can work to get them back into play. Congratulations to Viva Viola! You will need to take the abbreviated profile you entered with and complete a full profile for her for stamping! When you've finished, please post in the Acquired Character thread so we can get her into play as soon as possible! All contest wins have no cooldown; these are special characters! They will still count towards your character cap. Thank you so much to everyone who entered! We appreciated reading the submissions and are so impressed by the creativity of our players.
