Personality: Determined was never enough to describe Irri. As a young child, her parents should have recognized and corrected her desire to grab and cling to all sorts of things just out of her reach. Such behaviors expanded beyond the physical - Irri had to know and understand the world. She was young when the world of Kahikina expanded, the Tendajians flooding the lands. Wide-eyed and curious, she just had to learn more and often snuck away without a care (or any sense of self-preservation) to learn more.

Thankfully, most of the strangers were good-natured, though occasionally she'd just be left in the silence as someone stormed off, not quite certain why and having to be redirected less she chase after them to annoy them further. It was always best to answer Irri's questions, as she wouldn't let go until you did.

As she has grown older still, her curiosity allowed a sense of self-confidence without any sort of care if she'd look foolish - in fact she loved to ask the dumb questions so she could learn their answer. No question was forbidden from the young girl, and eventually her teachers decided to put it to good use. Confident, curious, and tenacious all spelled opportunity to hone her talents toward positive outlets.

History: Irri grew up as a standard Kaha'iko did, following the teachings of the elders and honoring the sacred Noelani. Her parents weren't anything special, nothing to brag about as they simply did their part in their community. It wasn't that they were bland, they simply weren't more than average. A happy family, with a brood of children who were surrounded with love.

Irirangi was born the third of five children. Her parent's first clutch of eggs was fortunate enough to spawn twins, Airini and Apera. Airini was a calm daughter, whereas Apera was a loud and boisterous son. They complemented each other enough, and for some reason the parents decided they wished to have more. So after five years, another clutch spawned two more children, though they were not twins.

Irirangi was the elder of the two, with another sister Ngaio not long after. Both were quite close, though Irirangi tended to overshadow her sky younger sibling. And about a year later the final sibling was born, a young boy Tui who was tiny and basked in the youngest-sibling doting he got from his elder siblings and parents.

Living in such a large family meant Irirangi was both independent and fiercely loved. As a result, she often was encouraged by her parents to be a confident, curious girl. Each of her siblings had strengths that were embraced and developed by the family, and as a result they all knew what they wanted to become early on. Irirangi knew she wanted to see the world and learn.

As she has gotten to the age where she's ready to seek out the world, her parents and her siblings are finally realizing she's going to be more than a few rooms away. However, Irirangi is determined and ready to see the world, meaning there's little to nothing they can do to persuade her otherwise.
