+ polite If there is one thing Alek is above all else, it is polite. This trait serves him well with those he cares for as well as those who might seek to do him harm, and it is his first line of defense against the world.
~ introverted Alek is vastly more comfortable when he is alone or interacting with one or two other people than he is in a group. In fact, if there are too many others around, he will lock up completely, retreating somewhere safe inside his head even if he is not being directly addressed. This has only gotten worse in recent years, but if he were to actually take the time to work on it, he might return to his former levels of tolerance.
~ creative Nothing soothes Alek more quickly and thoroughly than creative pursuits, though, to be fair, he only really has a knack for musical instruments. He even briefly entertained the idea of becoming a bard, but when he realized he couldn't exactly defend himself with a lute, that dream fell by the wayside. Despite his questionable skills in painting, singing, and dancing, he will engage in them eagerly enough if he trusts the ones he's with.
- clingy When he has been around a person long enough to trust him, Alek's shy nature tends to turn desperate and he latches on to them with a ferocious tenacity. In his opinion, those he isn't afraid of will surely protect him, and there's a lot he needs protecting from, at least as far as he's concerned.

Growth Blurb: After being beaten and robbed by bandits, Alek gained a healthy distrust of pretty much everyone. Where he was once poised to learn more about offensive magics, he pivoted into healing instead, a choice that was cemented further when he helped a Wind man recover from an assault similar to his own. He has found a Leaf healer willing to mentor him, and is still wary of leaving Zena completely.
Physical Description: Angular and worried are the best words you can use to describe Alek. If he's smiling, it's a nervous one, and he is always hyperaware of his surroundings and ready to run at the slightest suggestion of danger. His hair is longer overall, but still maintains its asymmetry. His clothing is cut plainly and is usually shades of blue and brown. His most luxurious item is his deep blue cloak. Hood can be up or down; fur anywhere on his outfit is optional. Body Type: He's a twig.
