Boisterous and naughty and utterly without shame, Ylva rails against boundaries like it's nobody's business. She is incredibly bright but prefers to use her smarts to live a life on the edge of chaos. She particularly enjoys treating the deflection of rules (whether through logical loopholes or physical escape) as a game, an intellectual puzzle from which she derives endless enjoyment. Indeed, this loving but impish child needs almost constant entertainment. She has more energy than any child has a right to harbor in such a small body and has a knack for turning any boring chore or study into a game (often with disastrous outcomes). She is also a natural leader who is annoyingly good at inciting chaos and convincing the other younglings to do her dirty work for her.
(She is basically a border collie in a Vandrean body.)

Ylva has never learned to settle herself. She is rarely content unless she's had a full day of terrorizing her poor caretakers. In Ylva's case, an exhausted kid is truly the best kid, but the problem is, it takes a lot to get her there. Without understanding how to be okay doing nothing, she finds herself often tense and frustrated and upset, unable to vocalize what she wants or needs. With some strong discipline and the right guidance, she could perhaps be convinced to channel her intellect into an academic pursuit.

- Born and raised in Chiume - Being raised by a pair of young Alk mothers who are still learning how to parent and were certainly not expecting... this - Edama (blacksmith) - tries to be the disciplined one, but is really just a huge softy and feels a lot of guilt any time she has to tell Ylva no - Throiya (assassin) - the "fun" mom, adventurous, very lax with the rules
