Choose Your Adventure
This is a text-based experience, just for fun, not heavy role playing or stressful winning/losing. If you get "stuck" you can start over, no pressure.
Your first post will tell me who your character is. You can use your own user name and avatar, or get as detailed as you like. This will be a fantasy adventure, so come prepared to meet challenges, find treasures, and have fun!
Who are you, adventurer? (you can use your avatar's name or you can choose a different name)
Optional: add details like what you look like and skills and stuff you have (including magic). Just be aware that what you add here is totally optional and may have limited impact on the game. This is just for light fun.
Optional: Add a token for your character. It should be no larger than 100x100 (I may make one using your current avatar if you don't make one). You can also choose a smaller image from a Gaia item, like a companion.
Examples:
This is enough. Just roll a d8 and we'll start off!

I am about the same height as a human with long blond hair tied up in complex braids, a sturdy cloak, a bow and arrows, and an ability to make fire with my magic. When you post, roll a d8 (that means choose the post action "Roll Dice" and pick 8-sided, and use only 1). I'll be asking you to roll dice sometimes, and when I do it will be in that format (roll 3 d20 means instead of just 1 you'll roll 3 of the dice with 20 sides). Please do not delete any posts in this thread.
If you get confused, feel free to ask me questions to clarify. The idea here is for us to have fun!

Starting Off! When you roll a d8, you can begin your adventure by filling in the blank: 1 = Forest  2 = Cave  3 = Boat  4 = Dungeon  5 = Town  6 = Hedge Maze  7 = Empty Mansion  8 = Choose one of the above  You find yourself in a ____________ with three ways to choose from, one to the west, one to the north, and one to the east. Which way will you take: west (darkness shrouds your way), north (fog or smoke make it harder to see ahead), or east (this way is more brightly lit than either of the others)?

I am Dark. For some reason I still have antlers and a blinky nose, but soon I will return to my true form: a winged demon. A monster stands in the path, growling at you for disturbing his feast which lies behind him. Roll a d20 and add your skill with a weapon if you carry one (+1 for fist/feet, +2 for anything with a sharp edge, +3 for a gun of any kind). If your total is less than 10, the monster hurts you. You may keep trying until it defeats you 3 times or until you vanquish it.

((K sooooo I tossed a couple options back and forth and decided to go with my olllllld head canon for my avatar from when I did verrrrry light RP, but XD not really gonna use it <.<;;; ))  I'm sdrawkcaB (backwards). ... I live under a rock on Gambino Isle. My height is typical of the average Gaian, though I sometimes shrink to miniature size, sit on shoulders, and play devil's advocate. Both sides. I morph hair, eye and skin color just to match my outfits. Default is gray with pale skin. I also look like your typical Gaian of old... horns, devilish tail, pointy ears... When I'm not wearing shoes, you can see that I have were feet. XD; I'm clad in angelic items. And I'm laughing just stating this all out loud since it's been forever since I last left the house looking like my normal self.
I'd like to take a stroll NORTH through TOWN today.

Dark charged the monster head down with antlers posed for contact. The monster must have moved to the side at the last minute and dealt an attack as Dark thundered by. Dark decides to rear up with hooves pawing the air this time.

I'd like to take a stroll NORTH through TOWN today. A bar has a sign graced by a foaming mug of ale and a dancing girl. Smoke curls out of the windows and doors and curls around the structure like a misty, fragrant (or odorous depending on your reaction to tobacco smoke) hug. You step through the doors to find a bustling bar with a multitude of races busy drinking, laughing, smoking, and playing various games. What do you do?

You step over the vanquished monster to find a wounded creature lying beyond the monster's slain body. You can try to heal it, ignore it and continue, or put it out of its misery.
