The smoke doesn't really clear, as the dragon closes his (her?) eyes and starts to snore. But you can see piles of treasures everywhere you look! There is also another tunnel leading down from the other side of the cavern. Esme keeps a sharp eye on the path to the other side of the cavern. She avoids the piles of gold and precious gems. The path widens and Esme picks up the pace once again. When she reaches the tunnel, Esme glances over her shoulder to assure herself that the dragon still sleeps. The path gradually narrows and Esme adapts by slowing down. She passes some nettles and stops to snack on them.
The tunnel descends steeply but nimble Esme is able to keep her footing as she clambers down the long passage. Finally she comes to a lit hallway. Across from her entrance is a locked, empty cell. In one direction (if she has an Absolute Sense of Direction, she will know it is west) the hall has no more torches to light it, so it grows dimmer in the distance. In the other direction (east) she sees many torches light the way.
Esme gets an eerie feeling as she turns into the westbound tunnel. The damp, stale air burns her lungs when she inhales deeply. Still, she moves forward, glancing backward and checking that no one followed her. The torches no longer light her way and Esme stumbles over a stalagmite. Her range of vision is less than three feet. Esme hears a shrill shrieking and startled, she jumps to a trot. The path has narrowed again and Esme crashes into a wall.
[/sp You notice a bobbing light approaching, dimly at first (how long has it been coming before you noticed it?) and growing brighter, bouncing merrily along about six and a half feet (or about 2 meters) off the ground. When it comes closer, you see that it is a bright torch held by a guardsman in full official livery. He doesn't see you yet as you stand in the shadows.
Esme feels a wave of dizzying faintness and sways to the left. She feels her stomach doing flip-flops and lets out a mild groan.
The guard hears her and calls out, “Who’s out there?”
Esme shakes her head and steps out of the shadows and into the light. She looks up at the guard and asks, “Who are you?”
The guard tells Esme he has been looking for the exit from the cave. He tells her an ugly hag locked him in a dungeon many months ago and he recently escaped. The hag kept threatening his life. She told him he would be a bribe to the dragon in exchange for it’s magical gems. Esme tells Juan, the guard, that she just came from the dragon 🐉 and before that, an exit. Juan turned toward Esme, listening intently and hanging onto her every word. Juan then asks Esme to guide him out of the cave.
OK, so what does Esme do?
Esme tells Juan to follow her and turns back the way she came. When they reach the narrow part of the path, Juan moves behind Esme to follow and holds the torch high to light the way. When they near the empty locked cell, Esme hears a rumbling. She looks back at Juan and he shrugs. He tells Esme the sound is familiar from months of hearing it but, he’s unsure of what it could be. Esme turns down the tunnel across from the cell toward the dragon’s lair. She explains to Juan that the dragon slept while she went through before and asked him to speak softly from here to the other tunnel. Once there, Esme saw the rhythmic rise and fall of the dragon’s chest as though he was still sleeping. 🐉 💤 Esme winks at Juan and tilts her head to the other side of the lair. In her haste, Esme dislodges some stones and the drop makes a loud noise. The dragon lifts it’s head and glares at Esme and Juan. Smoke begins to escape from it’s nostrils and the dragon’s eyes become bloodshot. Nervously, Esme sings the lullaby again but, the dragon, having rested, is no longer tired. Esme yells to Juan to run and dashes off toward the other tunnel. Juan jumps as the dragon’s firey breath catches the torch, leaving only a stump. He yells until catching up with Esme. Panting, they both enter the exit tunnel together. Esme slows the pace when the walls become near.
So are they headed back into the cave Esme started in?
Esme breathes a sigh of relief when they reach the cavern. She tells Juan it’s close now and heads south. Upon entering the place where her trek began, Esme is overjoyed by the onlookers welcoming cheers. Someone shoves a filled champagne flute in Juan’s hand and slaps him on his back. Juan turns and sees his brother, Joseph. Joseph tells Juan the villagers captured the hag earlier that day. The witch testified that you escaped from her dungeon and did not know your whereabouts. Juan told Joseph he had wandered for days before finding Esme who directed him here. A celebration ensued and many people toasted and cheered Esme.
A happy ending for all! I hope you had fun!

I’m basically happy that I made it through without angering anyone. RP is not my forte. Thanks for all the fish fun!
I'm Cinnamon, the Male Khajit Dragonborn who turned into a Dragon because I equipped a cursed bracelet I took from the dead Dragon's hoard. Meow...Roar...Eek! I'm so confused! xp
You find yourself in a Town with three ways to choose from, one to the west, one to the north, and one to the east. Which way will you take: west (darkness shrouds your way), north (fog or smoke make it harder to see ahead), or east (this way is more brightly lit than either of the others)?
Smoke? Maybe there's other dragons around and they might know how to help me turn back into a Khajit? I'm going North.
A bar has a sign graced by a foaming mug of ale and a dancing girl. Smoke curls out of the windows and doors and curls around the structure like a misty, fragrant (or odorous depending on your reaction to tobacco smoke) hug. You step through the doors to find a bustling bar with a multitude of races busy drinking, laughing, smoking, and playing various games. What do you do?
I'll lurk in the shadows and observe the multitude of races drinking, laughing, smoking and playing games. I'm looking for someone who can remove the cursed bracelet and/or turn me back into a Khajit. Maybe a blacksmith or wizard is in this bar?
No mysterious wizards are in evidence. There are a couple of folks big enough to possibly be a blacksmith: one at the bar, one playing cards with a bunch of other folks, and one playing darts with a dwarf or an elf.
I'll join the possible blacksmith and the card playing folks and play some cards with them if they'll let me join them.

East of course! The brightly lit way should lead to civilization, populated cities and people. heart
A lovely walk through a lush forest on a sunny day is interrupted by screaming to your left. The path slopes peacefully upward ahead of you. To your right you can hear the rustling of a large creature of some kind. What do you do?
Check out the screaming to my left. Sounds like someone might be in trouble and needs assistance? Perhaps I can help them?
"You got any sodas in a bottle?" sdrawkcaB doesn't want to be rude, but she prefers quieter settings. Maybe she can take something to go... or maybe space at a card table has opened up? She gets lost in thought while she waits for his reply
"Soda?" He shrugs 'it takes all types' and pours a glass of soda water for you. Meanwhile, you do notice a card game has an empty seat. The boisterous players are of various races, even a hybrid or two.
sdrawkcab approaches the table and asks if there's any room for another player
Most of them don't answer at all. A half-orc, half-human man mumbles, "Sure." and one of the other players, an elven woman, nods in agreement at the empty seat and deals sdrawkcab in the next round.
The half-orc, half-human looked at his cards and grunted. The dwarf on sdrawkcab's left sat up straight and leaned into the table. The elven woman's eyes gleamed brighter than before. As sdrawkcab lifted her cards to look at her hand, she said, "Do you all take bets?"

The nice thing about this format is you don't need to worry about what anyone else is doing, so no drama and no one gets mad!

As you wander over to the table, one of the players gets up, tossing his cards to the table in disgust and leaves. Another person is also just joining the group, so they seem amenable to your joining, too. You find yourself at a table with a sturdy human man who looks plenty strong enough to be a blacksmith, a dwarf who may also possibly be strong enough to be a blacksmith but is more likely some kind of hunter/adventurer, a half-orc/half-human male with a gravely face and an even rougher voice, and a elven female wearing a long green robe and an aloof expression.
The person joining the same time as you is a pale humanoid with black horns and pointy ears nestled in gray hair who picks up her cards almost before she is seated, and asks, "Do you all take bets?"
"Of course," the half orc growls in response to her question, "Else why play?" He slams a coin onto the middle of the table as his ante.

He turns to you and sighs, "Another one!" With a final knot around the girl's legs, he draws his sword and prepares to do battle with you.
Stately trees line the river on both banks, and fish swim happily around even as the current swiftly pulls you down river. The oars seem easy to manipulate, which turns out to be a good thing when a fork appears in the river giving you three options. The westerly fork is dimmed by the lush overhanging tree branches. Some kind of mist or smoke appears to be lazily curling along the middle north fork. The easterly fork seems to have the fewest trees overhanging it, making it the most brightly lit way.
*Tintin picks the Easterly Fork option, she likes bright lit areas xd *
The river calmly makes its way for a time until it thickens into a swamp. The water becomes very shallow and the bog is closing in on the boat. Suddenly a slimy creature pops up and begins to climb aboard, long pointy teeth bared in anticipation. To fight it off, roll a d20. Or you can try another course of action.
*I'll try and fight it off, to scare it! , least hit it with some oars ! eek* rolls dice ^^
Critically successful, you bash the creature's head in and it sinks below the surface of the water leaving behind a bloody film on the water.
The boat floats listlessly along until it runs aground as the water became to shallow for it to continue. There are two paths of sorts leading off in two different directions. One seems very muddy while the other looks to be covered in a thin layer of water.
I'll take the one covered with a thin layer of water =)
