The Rules
Negaverse Characters only! This is a Nega Op, unfortunately this is not a mission where PC WM forces can participate! By signing up you acknowledge that regardless of rank, General Labyrinthite is the highest authority during this mission. He will not be accepting agents who have a history of insubordination or a likelihood to go renegade. It does not matter if your agent (or corrupt) is of the same level (general or eternal, or ascendant-general), Labyrinthite's orders are to be respected above all for the duration of the mission. Please be respectful to other players and their schedules. You must give players at least 24 hours to respond to your post before you move on OR you must get explicit permission to move forward. The Central Hub is the thread to reference for important updates, rules, and general information so please keep an eye on this thread! OOCly the event will last approx 1-2 months, through March and April. ICly it can take up to an upwards of 3-4 months depending on the pacing, timeliness of the responses. Please keep this in mind when choosing character to participate as this means said character will be unable to participate in other shop events happening at the same time. A reminder for those playing a disposable: If you are unable to post within the time constraints I ask, I will take over and you will forfeit your disposable privileges in order to keep the event running in a timely manner and to conclude upon the timeline I have written for it. By signing up you're agreeing to act courteous and civil with other players throughout the duration of this event regardless of personal feelings or differences. If you cannot abide by this, please understand that you will receive one warning and if the behavior persists, you will be removed from the event. OOC does not equal IC, please respect that. Rules are subject to change at my discretion.

Arranging the flights had been easy enough.
Chase had enough wealth and resources alone, but with the Negaverse's resources at his fingertips...getting a plane specifically for everyone he was bringing along with him. Still, there was little he could do about the time the flight took and after arriving in the city of Witzend, England everyone had been given the 'night' off so to speak.
The staff of the hotel appear to be extraordinarily...ordinary, but clearly have been hired with specific care. Each of them flash too bright of a smile, respond to requests a little to chipperly, and they seem very, very eager to tend to the company's needs. Chase seems unbothered by the slight eeriness, but perhaps that's because he's a man who demands and commands respect by his walk alone.
Most agents are given private rooms, but if requested, they're allowed to room with a companion. Chase and Priscilla share a room, as do a few others. There seems to be an understanding that fraternization will be tolerated, but it must not distract from the mission.
General Labyrinthite, even in his civilian guise, is not a man who looks like he accepts shortcomings and it is clear that he has high expectations.
While they're welcome to squander their free time away, Chase has sent each and every officer under his command for the mission a message on the tablets stating that a meeting will be held in the East Wing's conference room promptly at 10 AM. Failure to arrive in time will result in disciplinary action.
((OOC: Welcome to the beginning of the Witzend Mission!
Your agent has been called to the large conference room in the East Wing of the Crimson Hotel! They're expected to arrive as civilians and there's a large table put together with chairs for each of them. Chase stands at the front of the room, hands behind his back and there's pictures of the recently destroyed corporate building that was the operations headquarters.
His expression is impassive and he looks ready to begin. Better hurry to take a seat!

It was not the first time Suri had made the flight overseas, and wasn't likely to be the last--healthy collaboration between the branches was the only way to ensure the war was being handled on a uniform front. It was, however, the first time she'd been in a plane bought out entirely by the Negaverse, which left her with mixed feelings. She supposed she should have felt the warmth and camaraderie from her fellow agents, but being a general meant that a certain degree of familial distance was required, and what they headed to was no paid vacation, no place to relax. Instead, she found it sobering, the sheer numbers of the force Chase had been put in command of--what were they facing, to pull so many active duty agents from Destiny City? Surely Queen Laurelite would not have drained her resources so thoroughly without good cause, but that thought alone was enough to keep Suri in a dour mood through the entire flight and her subsequent retiring for the evening.
She'd shooed away her chipper room service attendant in the morning, leaving breakfast except for a piece of fruit and the darkest of her selection of teas. Entering silently behind a few early birds, she paced at the edge of the conference room, lips pursed and her teacup held close to hand. There were dark bags under her eyes, but they didn't seem to muddy the focus in her stare or the sharpness of her frown. Suri looked past Chase for a moment and then down at her phone, nose crinkling. If it was almost 10 AM in England, then it was far too early to call home...but she thought about it all the same, another urgent matter swimming in the mire of her thoughts.
She had to trust that Queenie and Ashley would be fine. She had to trust that Laurelite was taking appropriate measures on the home front, and not sending them all to a new warzone unprepared. But Suri was not a trusting woman by nature, and she grappled with herself to yield to the situations she could not control, focus on the ones she could.
Chase needed her here, needed her mind to be here.
With pursed lips, she paused her stuttered gait beside Chase's chair, waiting for others (Priscilla) to arrive before she determined where she was going to sit (as far away from her as humanly possible). In the meanwhile, she continued to sip her tea, watching as unassuming faces began to file in.

The plane ride over had been a familiar thing for the petite dance. Long, a little lonely despite knowing everyone on board was a member of the Negaverse as well. It hadn't been that long since she'd returned from an extended tour in Europe, traveling with the London Ballet from city to city. That trip had been taxing and tiring in it's own right, but this was different, more important to the cause, less to her on a personal level, but of the members of her team she had the experience, so it was her that would make the trip.
She also suspected her general was keen on pushing her into a situation that would make dwelling on her recent loss more difficult.
At the very least the hotel room was a distinct upgrade from the dorming arrangements she'd had to keep with the ballet. The bed was comfortable, and the flight had been exhausting. Sleep came easier than she'd been expecting, and lingered late enough that she'd had to rely on her alarm to wake her. Rare, but well needed.
Clothing neat and hair woven into a very neat side braid, the petite woman made her way into the conference room to join the other's that'd already arrived. There was really only one person there she even half recognized and the dancer's dark eyes lingered on the blonde standing near the front of the room for a long moment before she turned away to find herself a seat.
Captain Abernathyite | Christopher Woodward
Topher had woken up bright eyed ad bushy tailed there was a distinct bounce in his step as he crossed the big room to place himself at Sheldon's left side, s**t-eating grin already splitting his face. "You look like s**t," he cooed almost lovingly to the other man, nudging an elbow into his side. "Positively green still." Shelly's motion sickness was never not going to be hilarious to him.
Sorry, not sorry.
He sank into the chair beside his friend, arms folding across the table as he glanced around and then back towards the door. "Have you seen the girls?"

Between her family situation and the DSO, Cerissé was used to extended travel even if this was the first time she'd been tapped to go on a mission that was so far away. Tantalite had never stretched her legs on foreign soil, and based on the general air of everybody else it seemed to be that way for many if not all of them. After all, the Negaverse had people there already. Especially if that chipper staff was anything to judge by.
It wasn't to be a pleasure cruise, and Cerissé didn't expect to have a lot of free time to gawk about. That wasn't why she'd been a grand choice for such thing either and she knew it.
The young woman had been finishing up her breakfast with Caleb shortly before meeting time, one eye constantly on the adjusted clock on her phone despite having set an alarm to keep them from being delayed by chatter, food, and her possible nudging at his legs onto the table with her toes. Innocent.
"We better go before we cut it too close on time," Cerissé warned as she paid for the meal, careful to not walk too close to the older man's side when she entered the conference room and took her seat, gauging the seriousness in everybody's expressions. This was going to be a long mission, but she'd expected no less.
Lucifer Force I hope it's OK I included Caleb in Cerissé's morning wink
