Requirements:Team Size: 4; Recommended Level: ~1; Faction: Beacon Students Only.
General Quest Guidelines
You can dictate the actions of the Creatures of Grimm unless otherwise specified. Generally you should not finish off all of the creature(s) until all teammates have posted at least once for that section (though as long as nobody is complaining we don't mind). Meaning a three level quest requires at least 12 posts to finish for a team of four. It is your job to keep track of posts. The crew may randomly check to make sure you are all following the rules, because we don't want people cheating, but ultimately as long as everyone is having fun Role-playing we are happy! These quests are designed to give your team fun things to do first and foremost! Any member may randomly join in to control the monster's actions for a post. Underlined sentences mark the levels of creatures and requirements to proceed to the next level. Also if someone has not posted for that day feel free to skip their turn. Posting orders can hinder a good Role-play experience and that is the last thing we want (there is no real post order rules for this guild! Be active)! Remember to PM any crew when you have finished, and to turn it in on the main quest board. Lastly when the prompts say that a creature or group of creatures require something like 50 cumulative posts to defeat. This does not mean you must post 50 times to kill it. It means your post count added together must equal at least 50 for you to kill the beast. Which can be done in a single post, or in several depending on how you role-play.

There have been strange disappearances off a path in the woods near the outskirts of Vale. Merchants, travelers, and townsfolk have just vanished off the path without a trace. The military have sent personal to check it out, but no one ever returns. They don't have the time or the resources to keep sending personal out, so its up to your team! Meat in the courtyard, gather your wits, and set out on the path to discover the reason for all the strange occurrences.
Level One
As you start your journey, it all seems rather uneventful. Nothing stands as strange or unpredictable. However, the thicker the trees grow, the quieter the forest grows. Further down the path you notice the claw marks on the trees as well as what seems to be splatters of dried blood across the ground. You hear them before you see them, the low rumbling growl of a Beowolf. Three of them (level 0.5, cumulative post count of 50 to defeat) lunge out of the woods, teeth barred as the go for you and your team.
Defeat the Beowolves to continue.
Level Two
Upon defeating the Beowolves, you notice a set of footprints disappearing into the woods. The look to be fairly fresh, so you decide to follow them. They continue on for about a mile or so, getting fainter and fainter the further you go. Eventually you find yourself in a small clearing... only, it's not empty. In the center stands a defenseless Faunus-man facing a huge Ursa (Level 1.0, cumulative post count of 100 to defeat). From the looks of it the man isn't fairing so well and seems to have already lost a lot of blood.
Save the Faunus and defeat the Ursa to continue.
Level Three
Once you have defeated the Ursa you must stop the blood flow of the Faunus's injuries before he can bleed out. While treating his injuries you try to get a few answers out of him before he loses consciousness. You weren't able to get much, however he said it was originally a group of humans that attacked him and his family on their travels, not Grimm. He happened upon the Grimm while searching for his wife and daughter.
Get the Faunus safely back to Beacon and report your new-found knowledge to the Headmaster to complete..
Henryk was having a nice dream about candy, soda, and cotton candy when he had been woken up rather early by the hairy terror known as Binx. The cat had again decided to sleep on top of his face and try suffocating him, forcing him to wake up to survive. He tossed the cat off him, only to have it infuriatingly land on its feet. He was about to yell at the cat when he noticed everyone around him was still asleep and bit his tongue, glaring daggers at the cat. 'The cat tried killing me! And of course no one will believe me and take its side again...' He thought to himself as he silently grumbled. The near death experience had left him wide awake now so sleep was no longer an option. He wondered what he could even do at this time, it was far too early for his liking to be awake. 'What can people do in the morning? The world is still asleep, there is nothing to do...OH WAIT TODAY IS THE DAY!' He began, disheartened to be awake so early before his memory was kicked into gear as he remembered what today was. It was their very first mission together as a team. They had finally felt they were ready, and had all gone out to pick out their mission from the board a few days before. While there were safer and more direct ones, this seemed the most important to them. He could not imagine people being taken or disappearing with no one to help them, and neither could all of them. They wanted to be hunters for many reasons, but Henryk felt it was primarily to help and protect others, so this mission especially called out to him.
He would try to quietly rise from bed and change as quickly as he could, remembering to bring his cane and scroll this time. This was a day where he really didn't want to forget anything. The earlier tiredness from being harshly woken up at a cruel time in the morning was replaced by a sense of excitement for the coming mission. He just wanted to run out and do it...but the smallest bit of common sense kept him from doing so. He would need his team for it. Taking out his scroll, he would message everyone to meet him in the courtyard when they were ready even though he wasn't even there yet. He was pretty sure he would get there before anyone else at this point at the least. All through his walk there he was twirling his cane in his hands, needing something as an outlet for all his energy. He almost wanted to make a surprise or something for everyone, but figured it was not important. For a rare moment a sense of seriousness overtook him. People would be depending on them to save them if they found any leads, live could be at risk...It would be a lot of responsibility once it happened. "But we shall all try our hardest to save everyone!" He exclaimed aloud as he finally reached the courtyard. He had read a bunch of military people had found nothing when they searched. Now there were many logical reasons as to why this could've happened, but Henryk focused on none of them. 'So I shouldn't think militarily. If it didn't work for them it won't for us. So have to handle things in our own style.' He thought to himself. He had to have hope that everyone was alright and that they could save them. It would do him no good to think the worst had come to pass. He had to have hope. He would soon after arrive at the courtyard itself, finding it deserted. "Not to mention i'm awake at this hour..." He said out loud hoping for a response that never came...He hadn't thought of what he would do now while waiting...He probably should've woken up the others in hindsight. Sighing, he tried finding something to entertain him...and his gaze turned skyward. He heard people liked to do this, so he figured he may as well try it for now. ✘ Post count: 33 ▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄ OOC: LETS DO THIS! Outfit
Ella was getting ready for the day, she was in the bathroom brushing her hair when her scroll buzzed, "Henryk.." she mumbled to herself as she read it, she barely ever used the thing but thought she would reply this time, with a simple 'ok, be there soon'. Finishing getting ready, Ella got dressed and made her way to the courtyard where they were meeting, still a little later than she wanted.
As she approached, she could see Henryk on his own, most likely waiting for the rest of the team. Looking around, she couldn't see anyone else as of yet, she hoped he hadn't been there for long. Ella's footsteps were very soft and quiet, she smiled on approach and wasn't sure if he had noticed her yet. Ella looked a little confused as to what he was looking at, as she realised he was gazing at.. something in the sky? Ella stood beside him and looked into the sky also, "Is the sky interesting to you, Henryk?" she asked, looking around for whatever she could assume he was looking at, nothing looked out of the ordinary.

Chloris would sleep peacefully, after Ciara had tormented Henryk the kitten would guard her sleeping mistress. Curling up beside her and falling asleep. Chloris would only wake just before she'd her scroll trilled, making the petite young woman jump slightly. The black kitten would huff before jumping off the bed and onto the windowsill free of plants before scowling slightly at her mistress."What time is it?"She thought to herself groggily as she would reach for her damn scroll.
Reading their leader's message, she would nod and exit her bed."Oh yeah, mission day,"She sighed, now awake fully and making her bed. It wasn't that she wasn't excited for it, she just was a little nervous. The petite country girl still felt inexperienced, but she would be damned if she were to let others suffer if she could do something about it! This mission had called out to all of them, and the more she thought about it while finishing up her bed, the more pumped-up she felt.
Choosing her clothes wisely, she would move to the bathroom, running into Ella on her way to the shower."Oh! Morning Ella,"She greeted sheepishly as she was barely getting ready for the day. She bowed her head before moving on to the showers; expecting Ella to be on her way towards the courtyard by the time she was done. About twenty minutes later her teeth would be brushed, her hair dried, and she would be dressed. The first layer over her undergarments being a simple tank-top and travel pants. The second would be the fitted, but lightweight long-sleeved dress and socks of breathable cotton. The third layer was a three-quarter sleeved light leather tunic that was decorated with diamond design and a high-neck and boots. Over these she would neatly cover with a beautiful blue shawl. Finally, to keep all the layers in place, she would secure then with a thick leather belts with pouches before moving to brush her hair back into its usually ribbon braid.
To finish the look, she would slip on fingerless soft leather gloves before slipping on and buttoning up a cloak as blue as the night sky around her. One pouch was where she put her wallet and her scroll while the other would a small natural healing kit of sorts. The sack though, would be for collecting things as well as holding her weapon. With a sigh, she would smile to her kitten."You be good, Ms. Ciara Binx."With a small meow in response from her trusted pet, the petite woman would grab her quarterstaff and leave to meet up with her team.
Walking casually with the hood of her cloak up and her long thick cornflower-blue braid resting over her shoulder, the petite young woman would soon greet the sun in the courtyard."Good morning you too...Where's Remus?"She greeted the two warmly, glad to see them...then grew concerned with not seeing their tallest member yet.

Henryk was already gone when Remus got himself out of bed that morning. As was normal Remus went about his morning routine to get ready to go out to Colossus. As he headed out a soft yowl drew his attention. On the dresser beside the door was the cute little fur ball Henryk was always insisting had plots to kill him. He hadn't noticed the kitten stirring as he moved about the room. Remus reached out and stroked the kitten before lightly scratching behind its ears. "Good morning Binx. Were you giving Henryk a hard time again this morning? Is that why he is so uncharacteristically already up and gone this morning?" He asked the kitten. The feline of course answered simply with a purr and short “Mew”. Remus grinned and clicked his tongue. With one last stroke down Binx's back Remus headed out to take care of Colossus and get himself some breakfast. As the dorm room door quietly closed behind him the kitten within jumped down from the dresser and returned to its owner's bed.
Upon his return the dorm room appeared to be empty now. Ella and Chloris's beds were empty. He wasn't sure that they were actually gone though since the door to the washroom was closed. There was a chance Chloris was inside. If she was Remus had no intention to interrupt her or try to listen in to figure out if it was true. He went about swapping his uniform that he used while taking care of Colossus with his huntsman garb. Then he grabbed Cavalier's Creed and a few extra arrow quivers. Just as soon as his gear was situated around his waist he was out the door again. The others should be gathering in the courtyard so that is where he headed.
Oh his way over Remus caught sight of the courtyard through a window. He saw Henryk was there. Ella was standing beside him. He watched the pair of them from the window for a moment as they stood there looking up at the sky. 'This looks like the progression of a bad skit.' He thought to himself as he was reminded of a basic skit joke. They always entailed one person doing something like staring up at the sky and one by one they were joined by another person who would join into the sky watching sensing some profound reasoning behind it. Just to be disappointed in the end. Remus sighed softly and continued on his way through the building. Once he was outside he changed course and ran for the courtyard to join the team. By the time he got there Chloris had joined up with the others. At least she didn't seem to be sky watching this morning. "Hey, everyone. We all ready to go now?" He asked to make sure everyone was set. Even though they were leaving the school grounds for a mission Remus was on his own. He didn't think this mission would be a good fit for bringing Colossus along with them this time. Before they could get underway though he then looked over to Henryk. "You were certainly up early this morning. You were already gone by the time I left to feed Colossus."

As Team HARE sets out on their mission, it could be considered nothing more than an ordinary day. The sun was shining, beaming golden rays of warmth down about the students. The birds were singing, their songs flitting through the trees in soft melodies fitting of the flutes of the most prestigious of symphonies. The sky was painted in a bright cerulean, soft wisps of white clouds streaking across it like a beautiful abstract painting. It was the perfect day to enjoy reading under a tree, to meander about looking for the next innocent victim of a well thought out prank, to enjoy a day in the garden, or even take a ride on a horse, but instead they were here, ready to set out into the unknown. For weeks now there have been reports of strange disappearances. Farmers, merchants, travelers, anyone daring enough to brave the forest on their own or in numbers too small to defend oneself. The cause of these events have become a mystery and the face behind the threat remains unknown. The most anyone can determine is that the grim have been picking them off one by one, yet the destruction remains minimal. Ridiculous rumors like those from enchanted fairy tales have begun to surface, as they often due when the masses cannot explain an event away. Cursed forests, evil witches, stories of the like have been passed amongst the townsfolk. The military does not of the time of the staffing to deal with such seemingly menial tasks, so they have assigned the job to the students of Beacon Academy. It is up to the team to investigate the premises of these occurrences and bring any information they find to back to the headmaster for further analysis.
With the group gathered in the courtyard, it is time for the journey to begin. They have been given a map of the trail they are to follow, now all they must do is remain ready and alert. As the team walks, the further they enter the forest the thicker the trees go. Soon it will become nearly impossible to see much beyond the trail itself as the bark and shrubbery conceal the way. What was once a bright and sunny day seems to grow darker, as the leaves over head obscure the sun. Beams of light streak through shades of green, turning leaves transparent and revealing their veiny insides. What would usually be a beautiful sight becomes eerie as the presence in the wood grows ominous. Further down the path, the sign of a violent struggle reveals itself. AN abandoned cart, wheels slashed from beneath it. Monstrous claw marks drawn through the thick bark of the trees. Most eye catching of all, the fresh droplets of crimson strewn across the ground, splattered upon the trees, and dripping from the leaves of low brush. Red and green. such stark contrasts. A usually merry sight turn grim. All hope is not lost as a trail of footprints can be seen veering off into the woods. However, before there is any chance to follow the trail, the foreboding growls of a beowolf can be heard from the shrouding darkness of the trees. Not one, but three beowolves lunge from the trees, menacing growls passing through barred teeth. Red eyes lock on their targets as they lurch forward, teeth and claws looking to tear through flesh. The first sets targets Ella, pouncing from behind. The second leaps towards Henryk, gigantic claws sweeping through the air towards his chest. The final goes for Chorlis, launching at her from the side, teeth first.
((Each Beowolf is level .5. Defeat all of them to continue.))
Henryk did not notice the buzzing of his scroll, nor anything else really save the sky above. He was focusing, as he thought people were supposed to do when they stared at the sky. Focusing on the blue expanse dotted with white, or in some places blanketed by white. Focused on the serene majest- ah who was he trying to kid. 'This is so boring but there is nothing else to do.' He thought to himself. He didn't get how people could be so focused on such things and find enjoyment from it. He didn't get what philosophical meaning they supposedly had by just staring at the sky. It was just a plain old sky, there weren't even interesting clouds in it!!! Sure, he did like star gazing at night and such but that was entirely different. 'I can at least see circus performers and tents in the stars.' He thought to himself. It may not have been as bad if the clouds were more abundant, and actually vaguely resembled shapes of things for him to do. 'But nope, plain old boring sky today. Though that one does look a bit like that demon cat...' He thought to himself as he saw a cat that looked suspiciously like binx.
He wasn't sure how much time went by of him doing this...but he knew at some point he fell asleep with his eyes open. It was a trick he had learned in the circus to pretend to pay attention while getting some sleep which had served him well. However, there was a glaring weakness to it that was very easy for others to capitalize...even if it wasn't intentional. When Ella had silently walked up to him and asked him what was interesting in the sky, he was abruptly woken up, startled and shocked by the voice as he quite literally jumped a few feet straight into the air. "Ahhhh!!!!" Was what he screamed as he almost flew up in the air, before landing on his feet with his heart about to beat out of his chest and almost hyperventilating. He had been having a calm dream about sheep doing somersaults in the circus ring when he had been woken up, the entire tent having caught on fire and collapsed as he awoke as a giant Ciara Binx tore through the tent and went after him. Wide eyes would stare back at Ella for a few moments, and she would briefly see some black appear mixed with his white hair, as well as his horns getting a slight tint of red before quickly fading away. He didn't even notice it himself with how quickly it faded away. "Oh, its you Ella. I thought you were that evil cat!! ...I knew I shouldn't have fallen asleep..." Henryk would exclaim, his breathing slowly calming down a little bit. He wouldn't be surprised if the cat had set him up for this at this point, and immediately regretted his sudden nap. Though in his defense the sky had been boring earlier.
And...in the midst of this near death experience, everyone else seemed to pop up. Chloris, hooded like a cultist, had come by saying good morning and asking where Remus was. Before Henryk could really answer he saw Remus enter the courtyard asking if everyone was ready to go. Henryk immediately stood up straight and began dusting himself off lightly, pretending nothing had happened whatsoever. Even if Ella saw that little display he hoped no one else had. "Yep! Perfectly fine, nothing went wrong, all ready to go!" Henryk would respond enthusiastically and energetically, trying to brush off the entire thing as if it never happened. The last thing he wanted this second was for them to find out he had fallen asleep and been so scared by Ella just talking. Remus would then comment on him being up early this morning...as Henryk's expression dropped a little. "The hell cat did this. I was sleeping peacefully and then Binx tried to smother me in my sleep!" Henryk would respond, getting a bit louder as he mentioned the cat. It was the devil in disguise, at least in his mind, and seemed dead set on killing him in his sleep. He only woke up so early because of the damned thing. He would then shake his head a little, and offer a smile to everyone as he didn't want to focus on the cat now that it was no longer present. "But besides that. Seems we are all here now. Lets depart, we've got no time to waste!!!" He would exclaim excitedly, already his mind focusing again on the excitement of the mission rather than anything else. He wouldn't even wait for a response or anything at this point, but instead excitedly set off hoping his team would follow him.
They had been given a map of the trail they were to take, which Henryk promptly gave to Remus even as he and Chloris took the lead. He was not one to be left in the back, his flamboyant personality insisted he must be at the forefront of every performance or endeavor...when able. It had all started off very nicely, birds were flying through the tress and singing, the sun was shining, the winds of adventure were in the air. Everything was going great for him so far. That is...Until they went further into the forest. Then everything slowly got darker, the trees huddled over him and his team, the sound of animals crying and running for their lives could be heard. Henryk's nerves were on high alert and he could feel cold shivers through his spine. It took all his will power not to turn tail and run back to beacon, to not jump every time it seemed the forest was trying to snatch him away and eat him. He subconsciously stayed near Chloris, the only reason he didn't go ahead of everyone, for some sense of safety and security. Of the two, she was probably the braver one, well at least when he was in the forest. Outside the forest he would be fine, or so he hoped. 'What kind of team leader am I being this scared...' He thought to himself. He wanted to be brave. His worry was taken once he found the sight of a cart with wheels slashed, large claw marks and blood splattered across. 'No, we can't be too late...' He thought to himself. He had hoped to save people, but they may be too late from the scene before them. But he didn't see any bodies, or whatever did this. Maybe there was still a chance they could be saved. He took out his cane, in case whatever did this was still nearby. Moving a bit further ahead of the others, he would search around as he forced himself to look around to find any sight of people.
Finally though, he saw something that gave him some hope. "Guys, footprints! Maybe they survived. I think they were goi-" He would begin to say, before being cut off as the sounds of creatures leaping from the forest around them as well as their growls as they attacked them! Before he could even try to look back to his team, or give a warning, one was already lunging straight at him! 'AHHHHH!' Henryk screamed internally, his vocal cords deciding not to work for once as it was going straight for him. Acting on pure instinct his years of acrobatics came in handy. As it lunged straight at him to try and shred him in his chest with his claws, Henryk would do a back flip away from the creature, intent to jump out of reach of its shredding claws and snapping teeth to hopefully catch it by surprise and remain in one piece. If he had managed to clear its destructive range of attacks, he would be faced with a dilemma of finding where to land. In truth, he had not thought that far. He couldn't exactly look backward to see where he was landing...So if the grimm didn't get him, he would act quickly as he switched his cane to whip form, and use it to try and wrap around one of the high branches of the tree above him as he would quickly try to climb up, hoping his natural climbing skills will let him reach it before anything could get him. An idea was forming in his mind of something to do, but he first needed to get up in the trees to do them. He had no intention of fighting it on fair terms. ✘ Post count: 34 ▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄ OOC: AHHHHHHHHHHH! Outfit

Ella Fletcher "Would you like to go for a swim?"
Being as jumpy as she was, Ella also got such a fright when Henryk shouted after she spoke to him. Instead of laughing straight away at the fact she had got him back for all of the times he had approached her while reading, she watched as his hair began to change colour, and his horns almost glinted with the colour of red. She opened her mouth to say something, however, it faded just as quick as it began and she decided to leave it. Ella wasn't sure how to react, he had obviously had a dream that had triggered such a response, or maybe he really just didn't like getting caught off guard.. both reasonable points.
Ella once again opened her mouth to say something to Chloris, she was interrupted by Henryk who very brashly spoke, it sounded like he was definitely in a rush to get somewhere. Her brow raised a little as she attempted to figure him out, she was smart, and could potentially see his ploy to move them on from what happened. Ella then thought about how she was very similar, she got so embarrassed after headbutting Henryk not only once, but three times now, that she could understand wanting to move on the conversation. She remained quiet, and held her hands beside her back as she listened to him discuss the cat and attempt to climb himself out of the hole he was in. Flashing a gentle smile to Chloris, Ella bowed her head a little, "Morning Chlo, I trust you slept well?" she said, looking back at Henryk, almost letting him know with just a look that she wouldn't tell on him.
Ella then brought her hands up behind her head, she stood with the others and watched as Remus made his appearance. She smiled brightly at him, "Morning Remus, I think we are all ready to go.." she said, looking around her team as they then took off towards the wilds.
After a while of walking, Ella was holding open the map given to them as she followed the trail, in reality she wasn't actually that sure where they were going but had a vague idea what they were looking for. She had heard of stories in this place, but shrugged them off. "You know, there's a book I once read on how a forest killed this group of people.. it turned out to be about a witch, she would take on by one and-" Ella was interrupted by the appearance of a certain tree she walked past. Moving backwards a few steps she examined it closer, pointing it out to Remus, "Claws.. we need to be on guard.." she said, feeling her hand over the tree as she went over the claw marks on it. Her attention was then averted to Henryk yelling, she instantly walked over to the footprints he had found and looked at them, bending down to get a closer look.
Ella looked around the team, "This was a recent fight.." she said, looking around for a body, something to indicate just how bad the struggle was. Before she could examine the scene more, she heard the menacing growls of the beowolf, instantly standing up and taking her pole arm out, Ella stood at the ready. Behind her, a beowolf launched itself straight at her, she barely had time to turn around as it's claws reached for her. Ella rolled to her left, taking a water bottle from her belt as she emptied some of the water out and into the hole at the end of the pole. Standing back up again, she glared at the beowolf, her heart racing in her chest. The last time Ella came across one of these beasts, her companion died due to her negligence - she would never let her team face the same fate.
Holding the pole through her middle with both hands, at one end water spouted out from it, creating an extremely sharp blade of water at one end. She spun the pole and aimed a stab motion straight for the beasts chest, it would seem like a blunt hit, however she would manipulate the water to shoot out through its chest, and if not, at least attempt to cut at it's chest with razor sharp water.

Chloris was glad to see that her teammates were in a relatively good mood...ignoring Henryk's outburst about her angel of a kitten."You do know that in some cultures cats are regarded as guardians of the underworld, right?"She knew he probably didn't, but figured it would be an interesting tidbit to educate him with. She then smiled toward Ella."I did, thank you. Hope you did as well,"She replied kindly before looking toward Remus who had joined them."Hey Remus,"She greeted casually before looking around.
If only she could spend this day gardening...it was a perfect day for it. Which only made it all the more ominous in her mind."Yes, lets."Speaking under her breath, she would walk alongside their leader on their long journey. It did not escape her notice that the young man would stand close to her, which made her smile a little."I hope he is alright,"She thought to herself. It was not that she thought his fear was unjust, the petite young woman just hoped it would not hinder her friend. The rumors of the forests were just silly in her mind; if one were to look at her clothing though, she might look like a young witch though next to a demon, but she kept that to herself.
After a while though in the dark forest, she too would observe the scene of the bloody path ahead."That doesn't look good. How long do you think this might've happened?"She wondered aloud to no one in particular. As they walked, she had taken her dagger in her left and quarterstaff in her right. Then she heard the growls above them."Well s**t...It's about to get rowdy as a roundup here,"She commented softly to her companions.
She had been ready for a fight all day, but she had not expected this many to be sure. Cursing under her breath as they came down from the treetops, she did not hesitate as the one came at her side, she would sidestep and simultaneously swing for its eyes with her dagger. If it was a successful gouging, she would yank back her jagged dagger and jump back. If not, she would just sidestep away, either way, her dagger would change to its warstar form."Rude,"She scolded it, preparing for another attack.

As expected the moment Remus inquired to Henryk about why he was up so early today the horned faunus boy went right into blaming Chloris's kitten. He even called it a hellcat this time. Remus laughed softly. "Oh if only we could be so lucky. We could train it for battle and bring Binx with us on missions then." Remus's amused tone slipped after than comment as he turned his attention to the ladies. He returned each of their morning greetings in turn. Ella first and then Chloris. Chloris also made a remark to Henryk in response to him calling her kitten a hellcat; about cats being the guardians for the underworld in this case. Hopefully that doesn't give him more ideas about that cat trying to take him away.
Hernyk moved the team along towards their mission now that everyone was present and exchanged some morning greetings. He headed off to take a leading position with Chloris. Though not before handing off the map that would lead the to the mission spot to Remus. The white haired huntsman took hold of the map and looked it over. After a first glance he rolled it up and then ran after the others. Taking up a spot along side Ella. Now that he was in place in this little travel formation he unrolled the map again and actually started to properly study it. Turning it to align the compass and the path they were following to be in line with the line marking it on the map. That continued for some time before Ella started to look over his arm at it. Sensing that she wanted to examine the map herself he handed it over to her so she could look over it with more ease. As book smart as she was he found it difficult to wrap his head around the thought that she couldn't read a map. Anyway by now he had memorized the path they need to take to get there. There were exactly a lot of off shooting roads along this route too.
Remus watched the trees as they walked. Next to him Ella was watching the opposite side of the road. She was also recounting a tale from some book she had read. The tale seemed like one that one brings up around a campfire at night to fit current situations in an attempt to create a good scare atmosphere to accompany the ghost tales that would be following. She stopped mid-sentence though. Remus stopped walking and turned around to look at her as she fell back to examine a tree on her side of the road. Remus moved in closer as she pointed out something on the bark. She didn't need to speak about it as he could clearly make out the claw marks in the bark. He nodded in response to her commenting about it all the same though. He drew the two sabers of Cavalier's Creed, spinning them in his hands before locking them together to create his weapons bow form. He was pulling out his first arrow and advancing up the road further when Henryk's voice called out from the front. He ran after Ella who rushed on ahead to see what the others found.
It was an over turned wagon. A clawed up wagon soaked with splashes of blood and surrounded by a few puddles of it as well. Remus nodded and commented, "I agree," to Ella's assessment of the fight having be recently transpired. He looked over when Henryk commented about spotting some foot prints. Ella headed over to join him and look around. Chloris seemed to be sticking close and preparing for a fight. Remus was also on guard and felt that now was the time to start getting some eyes in the trees. Especially if they were going to leave the road and follow those footprints. A ethereal titanium blue mist began to form around his feet as he prepared to summon some of his animals. The timing was perfect as that was when the growls started. Remus decided to change the summons to wolves instead of birds. The ghostly mist responded by swelling in size and spreading outwards from his feet. Beowolves came out and started to attack the others right when the first of the wolves leaped out of the ground. Seconds later he had 4 and was quickly evaluating the situation.
The first beowolf went for Henryk. Henryk threw himself back into a back flip to try to get away from it. Ella had one come out of the trees right behind her. She managed to get turned around in time to react and take evasive action. She followed up with a water spear thrust towards the grimm's chest. At the same time one dropped in on Chloris. She side stepped around it while trying to plunge her dagger into its eye. Remus grinned slightly as her heard her scolding it while changing the form of her weapon.
Well everyone besides Ella had seen his animals before, so now it was time for them to see what they can do. Responding to his will the pack of wolves split up. One stayed with Remus as a bowstring of his aura appeared on his weapon. He pulled it and the arrow he readied earlier back and lined up a covering shot to help Henryk. The arrow he loosed took to the air with the intent to bury itself into the attacking beowolf's outstretch arm to hamper it's attempt to reach their leader. As the arrow raced in so did one of the wolves, lunging in from the side with the intent to get a hold of the beowolf's exposed jugular. A second wolf changed towards Ella and went in after that beowolf's ankle. The goal to restrict it's movements and distract it from the hopefully fatal blow Ella had aimed for its chest. The third wolf darted in around Chloris's side and lunged at her beowolf as well, seeking it's jugular but willing to settle with getting a good bite in anywhere.

The beowolf lunging towards Henryk would have never expected such an acrobatic escape. Whether it had been well-thought out or not, the plan would succeed as claws first slashed through empty air. Letting out an angry cry, the beast would rear up on its hind legs, looking to gain more height as the boy took to the trees. Large claws would swing viciously towards any bit of him dangling within its reach, looking to draw crimson drops of blood anywhere bare flesh was exposed. So focused on its prey, a cat chased up the tree, the beowolf would not see the arrow until it was too late, aura piercing through it's large ebony paw. The pain that tore through the creature would only anger it further, a menacing growl ripping through a toothy maw. Claws again would slash through the air, less tactful as the creature desperately attempted to tear open anything it could. The beat caught whiff of the wolf at just the moment, turning from the horned boy he'd chased into the tree and tackling the mystified wolf to the ground instead. Teeth and claws aiming to kill, the beowolf would manage to avoid the attack to its throat, but not without receiving injury along the way. With a newfound target in sight, the beast would clamp its fierce jaw around the aura formed beast, looking to kill. If Henryk had managed to avoid all damage thus far, he would have a moment to breathe and recollect himself.
The grim was quick but Ella was quicker, but only just. As the girl spun to the left, claws would first swing through the spot she'd just been standing before turning to face her once more. Teeth bared a low, guttural sound would rumble from its throat. This one seemed to wait and watch rather than rush in desperately like the one attacking Henryk. This one was more cautious. As a blade formed of water was struck towards its chest, the beast would leap, straight over her head landing several feet behind her. In doing this it would avoid both the blade and the wold that had been snapping at its ankles. Skidding through the dirt, the creature would turn in the blink of an eye, redirecting its momentum so it was once again charging towards Ella. Once again the creature would leap into the air, but this time the beast was not intending to leap over the girl's head. In a streaked blur of ebony, dashing through the air, the beowolf would close in on its target. Teeth barred and ready to sink into such pale and delicate flesh, if Ella did not get out of the way, whether by her means or another's, the creature would sink claws into her back like a knife into butter and tackle the girl to the ground. There would only be moments to stop the thing from ripping into her throat.
The last beast had gleaming eyes of crimson set upon such vibrant locks of blue. Metal streaking through the air, what was once two glowing orbs of scarlet would become one as Chloris's dagger punctured through ebony flesh and gouged out the eye of the beowolf. A agonized howl would pierce the air, followed by an angry, rumbling growl. The creature would take to the defensive, and as the ghostly form of a wolf approached it, the grim would dodge to the side to avoid teeth and claws. As it did, claws would slash through the air only to rip through the girl's side if she was not quick enough to get out of the way. As clawed paws hit the ground once more, it would be on the other side of Chloris, putting the girl between him and the wolf. It would crouch low to the ground, a predator ready to strike but waiting for the right moment to lunge. The loss of its eye had turned its guard up and it was not ready to act so recklessly again, so while using the human girl as a shield from the misty wolf, it waited for her to fall within its reach, like a horrific sea creature hidden beneath the sand, only for jaws to snap and swallow the unsuspecting prey whole.
((They're injured but not defeated, keep up the good work and kill 'em dead!))
Henryk could feel adrenaline coursing through him as the beowolf missed its initial lunge to him as its claws met empty air before it hit the ground. Not wasting a second, Henryk would quickly begin to scale up his whip to reach the branches of the trees above for safety and a place to think for a moment. Hearing the angry cry beneath him, he would hazard a glance down to see it rise onto its hind legs and begin trying to claw him while he is in mid air. "Eeep!" Would be the less than brave sound escaping their fearless team leaders lips as he saw its claws coming up to get him. While not larger than his own horns, they still looked like they could shred him to ribbons. Due to his own pausing to look down at it, one of its claws had managed to scratch his leg as he ascended, making his wince in pain as he tried to press on despite it. Knowing if he stopped the wounds could be much worse than a scratch. He heard it emit a menacing growl and redoubled his efforts up his whip, thankfully being born a natural climber as he quickly ascended up while hearing some commotion going on underneath him but not wanting to risk slowing down and getting caught.
As he pulled himself up onto the branch. he would keep his whip extended but detach it from the branch. Looking down at his team and Grimm below, he could see what the commotion below his was as he saw one of Remus' aura wolves locked in battle with it. Ella was fighting her own, as was Chloris while Remus seemed to be providing support from the rear. He had a moment to catch his breath and plan, but as he felt a dull pain as his bleeding leg...and looking at the Grimm threatening his team even though they seemed to be winning...Henryk felt anger boiling up inside him. These Grimm may have killed others, and now they were attacking his team, his friends...He let out a growl of his own as he retracted his whip into cane form. 'No one hurts my friends!' He thought to himself as his hair began to turn black, and his horns red. His eyes settled on Ella's Grimm as he saw it lunge for her. "No!" He yelled as he instinctively threw his cane in a spinning arc towards the head of it to try and distract it. He could not focus on her though as he was the only one safe. If the Grimm that was after him finished off Remus' wolf, it could attack someone else because Henryk got to safety. He would not let that happen, he would not let anyone get hurt because of him. Jumping up into the air with a front flip, he would straighten out as his trajectory was taking him head first down into the beowolf that wounded him...Intent to headbutt it with his horns with as much momentum as he could muster. ✘ Post count: 35 ▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄ OOC: Everyone does it to me so...I wonder if this is as effective against grimm. Ella held her long weapon in a defensive stance, she was ready for anything. "This one is more cautious of the fight.. do these beasts possibly have some intelligence to them?" she thought to herself, always analysing everything as usual.
She frowned when her attack missed, and the water at the ends of her weapon became softer again as she watched the beast leap right over her head. It was quick, maybe even quicker than her. If she didn't have speed, or strength.. what did she have? "Water!" she thought to herself. Ella turned to face the beast that was now already running for her, a look of strength appeared on her face as she placed her weapon in front of her with her arms stretched out slightly.
Ella then moved the water from the sides of her weapons around the front, creating a shield that would hopefully deflect a bit of the attack and give her a quick chance to act again. Unfortunately she didn't have enough time to make the water as solid as she wanted, and one of the beasts claws managed to push through, slashing into the front right side of her torso - letting out a sharp yelp in pain, she stood her ground and continued to hold the water at her front. If the shield did hold for even a brief moment, little tendrils of water would come out of the bottom in an attempt to pierce its feet and hopefully giver her some time.

Chloris would not celebrate as she would succeed in gouging the creature's eye. Her focus being on the battle at hand still. Its chilling howl ripping through the once silent atmosphere being followed by its ferocious and earthshaking growl, made the young woman shiver. Taking that as her cue, would attempt to disengage and pull her dagger from its now bleeding socket if it wasn't stuck. Quarterstaff still in her other hand as she did.
Seeing the claws coming for her side, the young woman would spin out the way, taking a minor scratch due to blocking with her quarterstaff, but knocking her off balance and the staff from her grasp. She would take quick action to turn the fall into a roll and upon the last roll as it would move, her dagger transformed to the single-edged sword."What is it planning?"She wondered as she would thrust her sword up while under it. Feeling it move away she would then stand as it retreated, arriving between the wolf and the beast."Smarter than you look,"Chloris commended the Grimm with a smirk.
Readying her single-edged sword the petite young woman took the hilt steadily in both hands. Her mossy-green eyes would watch the creature's movements and be prepared to strike when it chose to charge. Whilst they awaited each other's next actions, one of the lower branches from behind the beast seemed to morph its end to a thick sharp point.

Everything is proceeding well enough so far. Remus's wolves had engaged the beowolves. The one in conjunction with his arrow had allowed for Henryk to safely get up into the tree where he was out of reach. More over the beowolf didn't come after another member of the team opting instead to fight with the aura beast instead. The wolf that went after Ella's missed it's target as the creature bound over her head. So the wolf instead advanced up to her side taking a guarded stance to the flank as it watched. A similar scene playing out over by Chloris. This one backing off to try and keep his team mate between it and the the wolf. Remus scuffed softly at that as he readied the next arrow on the string. "Chloris, counter strafe the beast and coral him." Remus remarked as he pulled the bowstring towards his cheek. He didn't watch her any more past that as he lined up his next shot on the beowolf distracted by its attempts to shred one of his semblance wolves. Remus wasn't fully sure if Chloris actually knew what he meant by counter strafe but he could hope as behind her the phantom beast growled and began to pace towards the counterclockwise circle around the grimm, closing in to a distance similar to how far away Chloris was. If Chloris understood what Remus said or figured it out by observation of her aid then she should begin to circle clockwise until the grimm was forced to abandon any concept of trying to play her or the wolf as a shield from the other. Then they just needed to coral it towards that branch she was shaping.
Remus started to move in on Henryk's beowolf while their leader was collecting himself in the tree. The wolf the beowolf was shred was already turning into mist though before it could vanish fully the beowolf would find the wolf that had been standing by beside Remus charging in and waylaying it from the side, fangs and claws flashing as one vanish just to be replaced by another. Remus wasn't ideal either. He circled in at a sprint and as his wolf engaged and got the grimms attention Remus skid to a halt and lined up his shot, pulling the aura string back as hard as he could to overdraw the bow as he loosed this arrow towards the back of the grimm's skull.
Remus was focus on achieving the killing blow to reduce the enemies numbers so he wasn't paying attention to the developments in the fights with the others until after he let the arrow fly. Henryk yelling out and the sound of Ella yelping in pain would draw his attention. Remus's head turning sharply to fixate on the scene of her desperately holding the beowolf back with a breached shield of water. "ELLA!" Without even thinking about it his semblance sprung into action. The wolf at Ella's side began to glow more bright as it lunged forward to fix its jaws onto the nearest back leg of the grimm in time to the water spikes that try to root it so Ella can escape. That wasn't all Remus's semblance did though. A new cloud of mist formed and a giant beast leapt forward, glowing just as vividly with emotion and desire to protect as the one beside Ella. The new phantom beast was a wolf as well but one that dwarfed the others and matched the beowolves in size. A dire wolf that pressed the upper limits of what Remus could create right now but the large animal was fearsome and fast, capable of circling around in a arc so it could come at the beowolves other side in only three lunging bounds. Once it came in the grimm would find itself hit by a wolf pincer attack from both sides. Though this much larger wolf was a whole new level of threat as it launched its own attack in conjunction with the smaller wolf.
