Mags has been doing his own makeup since he was about 14 and is loving every single second of it. He loves the shadow colors, the contouring, the sheer creative expression of it all. Makeup is very much an outlet for him, and he uses it to work through whatever stresses and issues he might be going for. Stressed out about friend drama? Cut a b***h with cut creases and stiletto-sharp wings. Trying to work out a complex issue? Meditate with some natural shimmer and glow to help who you really are shine through. Angry? Carve out those cheekbones and blind the haters with highlighters.

Mags found youtube at a young age and used it primarily for educational purposes at first. He would watch endless hours of beauty kings and queens, learning how to apply makeup and make himself look fabulous. After he was proficient in the art of transformation, he began setting up tutorials himself, if only because it made him feel good to be producing content. Honestly, he hadn't meant it to go anywhere -- it was just supposed to be a hobby that he could indulge in with his laptop camera after school for laughs. That had been when he was 15 years old, and soon had had 100 subscribers. And then 500. And then a thousand. Mags now has a pretty healthy following on his channel, enough that he has been featured in the local news, invited to classes, and even been invited to blogger conventions to be part of beauty panels.
The Gym
Mags needs to stay fit if he's going to be on camera, and so he spends a lot of time remaining fit. It's not so much an addiction per say, but he definitely feels off if he doesn't go every day. Sort of like if you miss an important part of your routine. It just... doesn't feel right. Usually, Mags hits the gym after school and before homework. He packs his gym clothes in a duffle bag and tosses it in his car in the morning so that he can just head on over after school. On average, he spends about an hour there, between cardio and weightlifting.Virtues:Sociable
Mag's parents are a pair of Destiny City's elite. Because of this, Mags was always in the spotlight, even outside of the Persian circles. He learned in theory how to be polite, how to shake hands and smile, but he learned in practice how to perfect it. Mags could regard you with total disdain, but you would never know it, so complete is his ability to mingle and network. He uses this to his advantage, more often than not, charming people he come's across because you never know when you'll need a connection.
Patient
Hours and hours learning and practicing his technique have made Mags a very patient young man. He has no problem sitting down and try, try, trying again to make something work. This translates to his people skills because he very rarely ever loses his temper with them. When someone ticks him off, that's fine. Mags is able to walk away without conflict. When someone asks him for help, he calmly coaches them through what they need to be coached through, no matter how long it takes. This is especially handy when it comes to Mag's "projects," or rather the people that he takes under his wing with the intention of turning an ugly little caterpillar into a beautiful fabulous butterfly. No matter how long it takes, Mags will stay by you and make sure that you fly! (Just not higher than him. Check yourself.)
Creative
Being a makeup artist looking to make a name for himself, Mags has to be creative and think outside of the box. Yes, it's fun emulating fierce looks from insta, but there comes a time when he has to use his own tools and mind to create his own work. This spills over into his life in the form of creative solutions.
If there was nothing within reach which would lead to a normal solution, then Mags is more than happy to jump out of the box to solve this issue. Don't have the tools you need? Can you substitute something in? Can you make the tools?
There is always a way? Don't have a plan? That's fine. Do you have an idea of where you want to end up? Mags will find a way to get there, no problem!Flaws: Vain
Constant attention to his appearance has mad Mags more than a little bit conceited. After all, he puts all of this time into his looks... why shouldn't he be proud? The problem is this comes off a little... rough. Someone compliments him, and Mag's responds with "Thanks, I know!" It's the truth (how could he not know? He put in the time and work to make himself this way!) but it's also lacking the requisite humility. Mags also ends up spending a lot of time on the way that he looks, and is sort of obsessed with his own reflection. Whenever he is walking by something even remotely reflective, he will try and catch a glimpse of himself. He can even go so far as to exaggerate his claim to fame from time to time, saying that he has a higher number of subs just to boost his self-image. His self-centeredness also has a tendency to wear on the people around him. Whether it's steering the conversation back to himself or looking for ways to phish for or give himself compliments, there is only so long that you can say nice things about one person. Especially when they demand it.
Judgy
Because Mags is so meticulous with his looks, he tends to judge others who are not as careful. More than that, however, he tends to be a little judgy about literally everything. Too loud? Mags is judging you. Too quiet? Mags is judging you. Everyone has this terrible habit of being so annoying most of the time, and he just can't help it. His friends aren't even sacred in this respect. Mags has an unfortunate habit of talking behinds the backs of the people in his social circle. It doesn't mean that he is disloyal or that he likes them any less, it's just his way.
Anything You Can Do
Mags has to be the best. There is no other choice. This comes off with a competitive streak where Mags tries to out do everyone in everything ever. If someone is trying to pass him on the road he speeds up and cuts them off. If someone finishes a test before him, he finishes before them next time. If someone has a sharper cut-crease than he does, Mag's goes home, takes it all off, and starts over. He has to be number one. This makes him a little difficult to be around because he ends up being a kind of story topper too. If a friend says that they had a good day, Mags had a fantastic day and here's why. 1. Even though Mahogany comes from old (sometimes he thinks ancient) Persian money, his parents sent him to Hillworth Academy as a sort of good faith mission. While Mahogany doesn't board there, he does study with the city's rabble and strives to set a good example for them. A kind of model citizen.2. Mahogany's life long dream is to start a make up company and make his living that way.3. Mahogany's birth name was Dastan, but his parents let him legally change it when he was 14.
