"I don't think I've met him." Diadem relaxed a little as Laverna joined them. "I'm guessing this is also not normal?" She added. "I mean... based on all the reactions I'm going with 'this is at least as bad as the funhouse death run." She asked, just to make sure she wasn't missing something. "I'm not sure how much I can cover if the ceiling comes down, or if I can..." She added, uncertainly. "What's he do? And anyone know what we're doing?"

"Not a clue." Laverna admitted as she listened to Diadem. Her eyes did another scan of the room, taking in one more who came through the mirror. "I've been to Mirrorspace enough to know that sometimes it likes to play practical jokes on us...jokes I believe only it finds funny."
But her hand reached out and touched Diadem's shoulder. "But don't panic. Panic gets us all killed and we both have far too much fun to have to be dying here..." Winking at her, Laverna pulled her hand back as she felt it for the first time.
"Did you feel something?"

One day, Kibirev was going to learn to say no. One day she was going to learn to stand up for herself, she just knew it…but obviously that day wasn’t today…because not only had she been dragged out patrolling by Lovejoy, but now she was back in mirrorspace. Again.
And other people were here too. She saw Miss Lesath and shook her head. “I really don’t want to do this again, Lovejoy…I really, really don’t want to do this again…”
She looked around and when she spotted the mirror she went over to it. “I’m getting out of here, okay? You have fun. I don’t like this place, you know I don’t like this place…”
Quickly, the senshi went to the mirror and walked right into it.
The only issue was she didn’t go into it. She hit it and fell backwards onto her butt, covering her face in her hands. That had hurt. But…but…
“Why can’t I get out of here? I don’t want to be stuck in this awful place!” Her voice was quickly rising in pitch, and she felt like the world was ending. Because…it might be ending.

"I thought I heard... noises... when I first came in..." But then, it all felt like they were pushing through deep water. She wasn't sure she was hearing things correctly, or if she was, how this strange pressure would impact things. Would the glass drift down like through water if it did break? ...They would be so lucky. Still... she flashed a smile at Laverna, albeit a tense one.
"You mean the sort of splintery bits or...?" There might have been a groan, but low and distant like whale song, and she was even less sure she trusted he ears on that.
Whales would be kind of awesome... unless the Mirrorverse was about to try and drown them by opening, say, a vent to the deep ocean from an barnacle covered mirror in the deep sea. She wouldn't be surprised if it did that.
"It feels like things are going to go all Surrealist on us. Like... Dahli or... that..." She waved a hand. "Remember the artist who did all the paintings of like, whales diving through clouds or space nebulas and stuff? ... It feels like that. But... in a kind of scary way, like the kind of 'the animal part of my brain is telling me there's a tiger in the grass' way."
It had taken a while for Stacey to be able to finally check out why the mirrors were acting weird. She had to take a late client today, and it was only after she was done that she could finally power up as Mithra and look at it. Surprisingly, at least for her, it seemed to be letting her in! This is a first. She mused as she thought about whether to go in or not.
But if something was happening in there, she would rather be there where the action was rather than hearing about it later! And so she slowly crept in from her floor-length mirror in her apartment and she saw... well what appeared to be quite a few other dark mirror senshi. That was nice! But also the room was a bit... weird? She hadn't been to mirrorspace but something seemed off to her and she wanted to investigate!

Chione had tried to ignore it. She had tried very, very hard to ignore the shimmering mirror in her bathroom. And in her bedroom. And in the living room. Finally, after sending a text to Rhona saying that she was going to see what was up with the mirrors, Lavender had powered up and slipped into one, frowning when she saw pretty much all of the other Dark Mirror senshi amassed. Again.
Well. s**t.
She spotted Acubens and her crew and trotted over, frowning at a younger looking girl with pigtails who looked as though the world was ending, and gave a little wave. “Hello crew. Mirrorspace is pulling us on another ride it looks like, hm?”
Leaning forward, Chione kissed Acubens on the cheek and gave a rather fond smile to Kiuchi and Crocus. “So…how was I able to join all of you lovely people…last time you had to drag me in here, Acubens. I sent you a text message, I suppose this means you haven’t gotten it yet, so when we get out of here, and you have a new message saying my mirrors are acting strangely, well. That’s why I’m here.”
She felt…almost relaxed and glanced around giving a tiny wave to Remarque, glad again that he had spoken to her and she hadn’t thrown in the towel quite yet. Though if this experience turned out to be anything like the last…she might end up regretting that thought.

There wasn't a chance in hell that Quinn would have missed the call from MirrorSpace. Her red eyes were drawn to the full-length mirror they kept hanging on the wall of their living room and they narrowed to peer at it. Was the mirror.... Moving? Her immediate instinct was to move towards the mirror that she was completely drawn to, as if nothing else existed. She padded her way over, and pressed the palm of her right hand to the glass's surface, watching intently as a wave of sorts rippled away from the center. Drawing her bottom lip between her teeth, Quinn looked over her shoulder back at Cass and gave her a very, very familiar look.
"I have to go," she said simply, the silvery glow of the frame inciting a twinge of panic in the Dark Mirror Senshi. "I'm sorry, I'll be back soon I promise," she added before running back and planting a quick kiss on her lips. Before she could say anything, Quinn was (probably taking a huge dumb risk in her home) powered up and practically running through the mirror's surface. She couldn't not go after everything that Tantalus had told her and what she had seen going in MirrorSpace lately.
Except when she came running out on the other side, it was not the Common Room that she entered, and she most definitely wasn't alone. It was colder than usual, and there was a strange... heaviness in the room. Her eyes immediately searched out Remarque, as if trying to decipher if he had any idea what was going on. When it was obvious that he was as perplexed as she was, she turned her attention to the giant, intricate mirror she had come out of (and apparently couldn't go back through if the Senshi on the ground was any indication), too distracted by it to notice the distant rumbling.
Leto is open for interaction!

Acubens had to physically actually stop herself from getting starry eyed when Chione walked into the room. Even more so with the show of affection. What she could not do, however, was stop the huge stupid dumb dopey grin from spreading across her face as Chione spoke. Her voice was so pretty... and she'd come here on her own... Was Acubens a love sick puppy or a proud Dark Mirror Momma in that moment? She usually opted for both but given the maternal role she felt that might be inappropriate...
"Then I guess I'll text you back the results when we figure out what going on," she chirped back, returning Chione's affection by squeezing her hand. She was kind of so grossly chrushing on her girlfiend (holy s**t her girlfriend holy s**t) that she momentarily forgot that her two best friends and her boys were standing right next to her probably wondering what was going on, given that in her turmoil over falling in love again she had kept the situation kind of under wraps...
Did she tell them now?
Was now the time?
Leto arrived, signalling that it was not, in fact, the time to explain anything. She did however wink lightly at Lesath, hoping that the other woman would understand that she'd get all the details when they were no longer on the brunk of probably total destruction. Remarque could hang too if he wanted.
Acubens nodded respectfully at Leto, noting that neither she nor Remaruqe had powered up to royal... which was probably a good sign. That meant that this wasn't an emergency, right? Or at least not yet...
"Well, Kiuchi... that assumption is based on a few conditions. One being that mirror space recognizes changes as quickly as we do, and the other being that mirror space reacts as quickly as we do. And all of this is based on the central assumption that mirror space is, in fact, sentient." Acubens paused to find out who had come in, recognizing Crocus of course, but also another dark senshi whom she'd run into some week before.

Avior was more than a little surprised when someone greeted him, someone who didn't quite know his name. It was all right though, for even having someone speak to him was enough to earn a small smile.
"It's Avior. You're Laverna, right? It's a shame we didn't get to met on a better day..." Before he could say anything more, he jumped slightly when a hand touched his shoulder and he gave Crocus a smile as well, feeling more relieved by the moment by the gently approach of the others. Just because he was a powerful senshi didn't mean he had much spirit... The first ranks seemed alot better at communicating than he was.
"It's like that exactly. There's something definitely wrong here but... Who's to say what it is... But I'm here to help however I can. Hopefully it's nothing major, but I suppose we can do nothing but wait and see what the next move is. "
Others began to approach the ones he spoke to, so again, Avior stepped back, allowing their conversations to take over his own. It was not that his words were any less important, he just... Well, that odd feeling of not fitting in still lingered within him.
That was alright, he could wait until someone spoke to him again. His mind was still focused on the pulsing that still continued onwards. He did find it strange, however, that there were those who focused on physical affections with one another, rather than the reason why they were here... It was incredibly distracted, for there was something obviously wrong here, and yet they could barely keep their hands off of one another. Maybe it was something people did these days, but it certainly seemed like the wrong time for it...
To each his own, he supposed. He would keep focused, even if others did not. Another appreciative smile was given to Crocus, however, as he remained by is side. Maybe he could be sure to keep this one safe... He was kind, that was for certain.

Merkeb - Senshi of wishes
Skin still damp from having just stepped out of the shower, Jenna grabbed one of the oversized plush hotel quality towels and wrapped it around her body before squeezing the excess water from her hair.
Dance practice had been a bit more involved than the previous few weeks which left her sorely missing her brother just that much more. Kenneth was great and all but a year and a half later and he was still making some of the same mistakes; which included nearly dropping her on her face after tossing her in the air. There was a level of trust that came with such moves and to be honest, she really didn’t have that much faith in the guy given all the bruises she had received from him.
“I think it's time to find a new partner.” The thoughts had been there before but by now the voice in her head was practically screaming insults at her for not doing so sooner.
Deep in thought Jenna absently reached over and grabbed the washcloth that had been folded next to the toothbrush cup to wipe the fog off the mirror. However, when she touched the surface with the cotton fiber rag, the glassy surface did something she had never seen before; at least not outside of Mirror Space anyway.
Beneath her hand the reflective glass rippled in a way not unlike a rock being thrown into an otherwise still lake. “That’s not normal.” Her lips pursed into a thin line.
Questioning her own sanity the bluenette touched the surface again and as before it rippled just the same.
“Huh…” Jenna shook her head then hurriedly wiped her feet off on the rug. Something was wrong, she could feel it; while she, among a few others in destiny city, could pass through mirrors, they never reacted this way when not powered up and definitely not without someone of a higher rank than she.
Quickly she threw on a pair of pajama pants and a tank top and a pair of slippers then hurried back into the bathroom with her henshin pen in hand. “Please be powered up…” Although she highly doubted the possibility, it could be that this phenomenon was isolated to only the mirror in her bathroom, either way she needed to get ahold of her prince, Remarque, and tell him what just happened. Perhaps he had an explanation.
“Merkeb power, make up!” The changed happened as it always had, a warmth with a smattering of stars overlaying her civilian clothes before overtaking the outfit completely and replacing it with her uniform.
Now that she was powered up she tested the mirror once more but what happened this time left her in a state of shock and awe. Instead of meeting resistance as her gloved fingertips pressed upon the rippling surface it completely passed through. “No way-” She spoke upon a disbelieving exhale. “No way!” she repeated a little louder as she hesitantly pushed further in.
Never before had she been able to go through a mirror without someone present! Mirror walking sure but that was different; THIS was different. Caught in the moment she soon found herself climbing onto the bathroom sink and completely stepping through the doorway into a world her family could only ever imagine existed.
Once on the other side the first thing Merkep noticed, aside from the fact that she wasn’t alone, was that the room was distinctly different than the main room they always ended up in when Remarque brought her here to explore. This room was cold and arranged differently; foreign as most places they ventured often were. But like the crack in the wall it seemed like this place was calling to them again; hopefully for some that was far less dangerous than before.
Sadalsuud recognised the curly-haired senshi (Acubens) in conversation withKiuchias having been there during her last trip to mirror space and whilst she didn't join the pair, she did take the eternal senshi's smile as an invitation to step over slightly so that she was closer to them.
She frowned slightly at the suggestion that mirrorspace was unhappy that they had taken the crystals on - at least for her - the previous trip, pulling out the curiously weightless white crystal that she had come away with.
"But why would it let us leave then?" She asked, because it wasn't something that made sense to her, it was a question that was repeated by a second senshi (Ptolemy) cueing her into the fact that more people had come through the mirror.
Sinopewas one of them and she gave the red-haired senshi a friendly smile, although she wasn't sure if he'd noticed it as he had been in the process of heading back to the lone mirror at a rather determined pace.
The smile turned to a frown at his exclamation, Sadalsuud stepping closer to him as she pressed a hand against said mirror.
Nothing - not even a ripple.
And yet the mirror was still letting people through.
She stepped back again, but recognisedAviorand the blond-haired senshi (Crocus) returning his wave with a wave back of her own.
The blond senshi seemed to be keeping Avior company and Kiuchi had stepped over to join them, although Sadalsuud was content to stay by Sinope, as green eyes looked over at the cracks that someone had pointed out.
"Maybe there's some other way out" she offered, because it was better than thinking that they were somehow trapped in there, her eyes locking contact with another senshi with colourful blue and green (Mithra) gloves as she spoke as she managed a smile.
Because it was better than the alternative that they really were trapped in here.

Remarque listened quietly for a time, taking in the theories and questions as they arose. He nodded to a few faces when they locked eyes, and he waved to Chione and Sadalsuud when they presented him with the gesture.
He hadn’t seen Leto in some time, but if she had shown up, he figured there was probably something going on. She didn’t seem any more confident about being here than he did, though.
He put on an air though, and feigned indifference.
“Sentient or not, in whatever capacity, if Mirrorspace didn’t want us to have these I doubt it would have given them to us,” he mused. “Or, at the very least, it should have had some reaction before now.”
It had been weeks since the crystals started appearing, but he doubted everyone in the room had found them. He’d made numerous trips into Mirrorspace, and while some Senshi had found some while they were exploring, he’d not claimed more than one for himself.
He hadn’t seen that many; they had just shown up. “If anything, it gave them to us. I doubt Mirrorspace would have let us leave with them unless there was some purpose.”
Though, he still didn’t know what it could have been.
His own crystal was tucked away in a deep pocket and he didn’t bother trying to reach for it.; no one else’s seemed to be doing anything and he doubted his would have been any different. Instead, he was scanning the crown and taking in all the faces he could, and examining the room.
And listening, to whatever strange noises kept rumbling in the distance.

Another distant rumble shook the room, this time closer—and louder. The fractures in the wall were slowly spreading. Pieces of rubble tumbled to the floor. A few seconds later, another rumble, and another, like someone—or something—was tearing through walls. The wall across from the mirror bent in towards them, like something was trying to push through the middle.
The corners of the room strained, like something was pulling at them. They held for as long as they could before even they began to splinter apart.
A strange, blinding white light slipped through the ever growing cracks. The entire room itself seemed to lurch, like it had fallen a few feet.
You don’t have to worry about something coming: Something is already here.

Lesath had been excited to see so many friendly faces and had been almost relieved to see Leto. Maybe…this wouldn’t turn out to be such a bad thing…or at least that was her thoughts until Kibirev had gone to leave and had been denied that. She should never have come here, Lesath knew that but…but her and Lovejoy did things together. She knew that too.
She had just turned to Remarque, to raise the question of if they might be stuck here when…well. When all hell decided to break loose. Her grip on Remarque’s hand tightened, and she was glad that was the only betrayal of her fear, that and the look she gave him.
What was going on now? At this rate…Mirrorspace really would end up killing them all.
When Tantalus patrolled, he stuck very carefully to mirrors. It was an escape strategy and a habit; it was always going to be safer to keep a mirror at your back if you had to run. It was also a quick way home, and when he was done patrolling there was never anything he wanted more than to step through a mirror and go home and curl up in Lance's arms.
That was not going to happen tonight, or at least, it wasn't happening as soon as he'd like it to.
At first, he thought he was seeing things. But the insistent trippling of the mirror continued, and. Well.
That wasn't good.
He powered down and pulled out his phone, firing off a text to his husband.
[Mistress Morbid]
Text to Lance: Something's up with Mirrorspace. Going to investigate. Will be home as soon as possible. Love you so, so much.
He powered back up and stepped through the mirror, just in time to find himself in a strange new area of Mirrorspace that seemed to be coming apart at the seams.
He scanned the area, and there was Leto - and it was good to see that face, certainly.
He ran to his Princess's side.
"Leto," he said, in greeting. "Do you...have any clue what's going on here?"
God, he hoped she knew something, because it was utterly beyond him.
