This is where what to do next, changes to the meta and major events will be announcde! Keep this thread handy/bookmarked as it will keep you updated on the next step and the main storyline!
Before you do anything for the meta for the day, definitely check in on the announcements thread for anything new! Known issues, bug fixes, game mechanic adjustments and expansions to existing content etc will also be reported there.
You can use the minis site to do a variety things! If you cant't register, or if you don't see your character's name on the masterlist please post here. The minis site is once again, used for archiving purposes, all actual RP and storyline is done on Gaia. The only pages relevant to the minis site for the meta are the Masterlinks, RP Log, Clothing, and MAIN meta page (where the tutorial for this meta is).
Right now the minis site shows WEEK 1 CHARACTERS ONLY. This is intentional (including Arcana).
[ Masterlist Links ] Just a note that the masterlist IS linkable, so you are free to share links of your characters to others!
[ Logging RP ] You can log all your RPS here as well! This will also up your level when you search for yourself here!
[ Arcana cards: ] Once again, you can check your Arcana cards here. It wont mean much however, until you finish the steps below

[ Discord Meta Channel ] Once again the meta channel link is here to join. This is mostly optional, and you are free to mute the channel any time you like! [ Group Text Message ] As part of the discord your character can ICly use their phone to send group text messages! This is all IC and canon! You can join here or just click on the #IC_TEXT_MSGING channel. Make sure you post your character's name before the message ie: Steve: This chat system is great!
This unfortunately does not count for rp points but is a great way to find and interact with characters to set up a PRP/ORP/ location meet etc.
[ Looking for RP ] Exactly as it sounds. RP seeking, and rp questions to other users, if need be!

EVENT RULES AND HOW TO [ General Rules and Regulations ]:
- DO NOT DELETE ANY POSTS. If you make a mistake, simply edit your post to reflect that you have erred, and make a new post!

- Please respect other players! Everyone wants to be able to play and have a good time, so please play nicely!
-This event is primarily focused on the RP storyline aspect. Please be FAIR to other players. If you are in an ACTIVE Thread and you cannot respond, please post in ooc that you will be afk for a while or have your character exit the thread.
- At the end of the event, there will be newbie / veteran nominations, so make sure to keep an eye out for anyone you think deserves a nomination! These will be user voted on.

- At any point if you need to contact any of the GMs regarding extenuating drama, you may pm WE ARE HALLOWEEN. Otherwise, please use the Q+A. Our shop gms will be more than happy to help with battle mechanics.

- Make sure you read the daily announcements before doing anything else. They will affect IC lore and event changes. You can have it bookmarked HERE.
[ How this event works/ RP information ]:
- The event is split into THREE SEGMENTS:
Week 1 - Lasts June 1-10th focusing on the Horsemen faction swapped side of things
Week 2 - Lasts June 11th-20th focusing on the Hunter faction swapped side of things
Week 3 - ??? A special finale!
- There is one MAIN STORYLINE RP that you can rp in and respond to, and then this storyline will UPDATE every 3-4 days or so in the same thread and you can RP accordingly. As this event heavily focuses on individual rp, there will be less "mandatory" events people have to participate in than previous metas.
- Small GM ORPS (non world events) will also occur. These explore the storyline more in detail, basically other aspects that are entirely non mandatory. These are just free to join to sometimes solve puzzles, defeat bosses, simpler tasks that offer small OOC bonuses and IC perks. Consider them a fun alternative way to engage in GM activities without feeling pressured to do so!
- Sometimes, events may occur in random orps or even in prps! Don't panic, this is completely normal.
- You can only transfer RP points to another character if you unlock the correct arcana for that!
- Please disable sigs when posting in large ORP threads so people with slow internets don't get overwhelmed by pages and pages of sigs!
- Please type [ ENTER ] at the top of your post if your character is entering the area for the first time and [ EXIT ] if they are leaving for another area so people know not to quote them!

STEP 1: READING META CHARACTER/SETTING INFO
[ You as a part of the Four Clans: ]
Currently, after the mass destruction of the islands almost two decades ago, the Dusk has become a sanctuary. It is a massive space a between space not quite part of Halloween, but composed entirely of Fear. It simulates a strange appearance between the modern Human World, and a little bit of Halloween, while keeping the horseman legacies and traditions alive. In the center of the Dusk, past the indigenous stores is the massive tower where horsemen meet up, train, and reside, and of course, dwell safely away from prying eyes.
Still funneled by the massive ??? Crystal, the tower creates a safe distorted space away from everything else. While horsemen easily have 'second homes' in the modern world, their main hub is the tower (The Dusk).
[ You as a Horseman ]:
- Horsemen can look depending on what they feel like what personality type. Some have fully embraced this modernization, others have a hybrid going on where they relax back into their more original forms only when not working/outside causing havoc, some others even just prefer their original form all the time.
- All Horsemen are made of Fear. Fear is an ambient essence created from of course, Human fear. It is harvested by Horsemen to further empower themselves and their abilities. Fear can be twisted and shaped into a variety of forms, thus giving the flexible powers and appearance of the Horsemen. As Fear is not tangible to Humans, horsemen cannot be seen by Humans in the Human World. To appear and mingle, they must purchase and wear special human themed clothing. They may do so at the special Dusk sanctioned clothing store (see more information below).
- ALL HORSEMEN TRADITIONS + CLASSES STILL EXIST. For example, there are still priestesses, and they can still access distortion and trances. They have all this ability, but they may choose to channel their ability for example, either through traditional mirrors or for example, by updating their mirror APPEARANCE into a cell phone.
Example 2: Famine can still breed and manufacture Fear bugs, but the APPEARANCE of those bugs can vary from traditional to like robot-hybrid.

STEP 2: MAKING A JOURNAL All players need to create a [ HORSEMAN JOURNAL ].
Please do this before participating in events as you will need to this log your RPs for Arcana points AND meta point awards.
Please go exclaim HERE exclaim and follow the step by steps of how to make a journal! When you are done, you are ready for the next step!

Be sure to check out the main storyline first and respond accordingly! This is the core minimum your character needs to do to gain RP points.

STEP 4: ABOUT THE DUSK SETTINGIf you haven't done so already read exclaim about the setting of The Dusk exclaim to help ease you into rps outside the main storyline orp! STEP 4.2: LEARN ABOUT ARCANA BONUSESNext, when you RP you will gain exclaim arcana bonuses exclaim . There are some very fun and important bonuses, so it's good to see how the system works!
STEP 4.5: LEARN ABOUT QUESTS
Quests are a passive system that grants you bonuses by completing small tasks, such as creating a journal for the first time, for example.
- Completing quests will give you additional bonuses such as extra raffle tickets, extra arcana attributes, and currency.

STEP 4.6: UNDERSTANDING CURRENCY
- Currency can be obtained every time you complete a quest (see quest thread above). Use your journal to keep track of your currency. You can use it to redeem items such as clothing (see below), but you are also free to ICly trade/sell/buy things from other players using it.

STEP 5: THE SHOPSIMAGEMAP SHOPS MAP Along with now being able to PRP ANY TIME, you may want to check out these additional "shops" for interaction and RP.The job center is where your character can RP HAVING A PART TIME JOB ]. This will yield you arcana bonuses, rp points, raffle tickets AND unique job clothing sets .
exclaim Go here to read about jobs! exclaim You may trade in currency obtained from jobs, finishing quests, (and occasionally GM orps!) for clothing. This is just a fun accessory thing that can be done. You can also view your clothing inventory HERE.
