An old looking shack hidden deep in the woods of Kranila. This is the home of Michael and Agni Kasai where they rest, tend to wounds, or prepare for their next mission

What if all you understand, Could fit into the center of our hand, Then you found it wasn't you, Who held the sum of everything you knew,
As Michael walked inside their home he would walk straight to Agni's room and carefully lay her in bed. After tucking her in he would quietly sneak out the room and head into the main room of the house. Half of the room was full of body parts in jars, spell books of many calibers, and a table for Agni to work on her Spells.
The other half was full of weapons ranging from guns to axes to Swords and everything in between. This was Michael's half where he would read through the help wanted posts and decide on their next mission or where he would regularly clean his weapons. But today he was doing neither, he would go into the closet and reach up on the highest shelf to pull down a box. Today was a special day for Michael as he made sure the box looked pretty enough for Agi and would write her name on it before placing it on her table. After that he would go to cleaning the weapons he had used today while he waited for his sister.

xxxAgni was sleeping peacefully. Her dreams turned from pleasant to horrible in a matter of minutes though, and she whimpered, tossing and turning in her bed. She could see her brother being caught by the people who raised her, and they were forced to fight each other. She didn't want to fight him, but she didn't have a choice, because once again it was the same situation as before. One of them had to die. The only thing that snapped her awake was her hand hitting the wall. She woke up with a whimper, holding her hand as her breathing and heart beat calmed down slowly. After several minutes, she was finally calm enough to take stock of everything. She looked around, seeing that she was in her room. Good. At least her brother had gotten to lay her down before the nightmare started. Her body hurt a little bit because of all the tossing and turning, but nothing serious. Stretching, she sighed a bit. She swung her legs off of the bed and got up, yawning as she stretched a little more. She rubbed her eyes to get the sleep from them as she walked into the main room. Her eyes roamed her brother's side, finding him cleaning his weapons. Knowing that she wasn't left along, she walked into the kitchen and made herself a sandwich, eating it as she walked over to her table, her eyes roaming over the papers that she had drawings on to help her organize her thoughts on what she wanted her creation to be like. They then landed on the box. She paused, tilting her head as she looked it over, seeing that it looked to pretty to belong to her brother. She looked back over at him, raising an eyebrow. "Onii-Chan. Where did this come from? I don't remember this being on my table before we left." She said as she poked at the box, not smelling anything weird with the box. She then picked it up, shaking it a little bit. She frowned and became puzzled as she tried to figure out what was inside the box. Deciding to leave it be for a second, she took stock of her materials, making sure that nothing was rotting and becoming useless yet before going back to the box, looking at her big brother with confusion evident in her bright red eyes. She couldn't think of what was so special about today that would warrant a surprise present like this. And when had he managed to get it without her seeing him?

Michael would turn to his sister's door as he heard it open, seeing his sister walk out of the room a warm smile came onto his face. Watching her as she poked and shaked the box, he finally stood up and went over to her. Reaching into his many coat pockets he pulled out a small knife and cut the string off holding the box closed. Inside the box was a medium sized Teddy Bear which Michael had scrapped up some extra money for. He had gotten it during one of his trips to town for more flyers and groceries and had been worried about her finding out to early, Also in the box was a new book for her collection of Grimoires. Michael just hugged his sister and walked back to his side of the room while she read the card that was in the book. The Card would read, 'Dear Imouto-chan, this day really makes me happy that I can spend it with you. I'm pretty sure you don't remember but today is the day that I got you in my life and we snuck away. I am hoping that you enjoy your gifts and that I was right about what you wanted. Signed Oni-Chan/Michael Kasai.

xxxAgni watched her brother as he came over, cutting the string holding the box as he did before going back to what he was doing. She took a second to look around the box before looking in it, grinning ear to ear at what was in there. She picked up the bear and hugged it close, already knowing what she was going to call it. She then saw the book and her face lit up even more, immediately taking it and putting it with her other books near her grimoire. She would look through it later. She saw the note on the bottom and read it, blinking as she thought about it. It was true. Today was the day that her brother had taken her from that military camp those years previous. She chuckled as she walked over to her brother, her bear securely tucked under her right arm as she hugged him with her left. "Thank you big brother. It's all perfect. I love it. I'm so glad that you took me from that place. I would much rather be here then stuck in that place. I love you." She said with a big, happy smile before skipping off back to her table, putting the box away before starting to look through the book. She chuckled as it started to give her better ideas about her minions and other spells she could do with her powers. She would have to put it all in her big book later. For now, she was going to focus on making a minion. She pulled the papers to her, showing them to her new bear that she fondly named Teddy. She went through, explaining the parts she did have. A pair of hands and feet, an arm and leg, she needed the other parts, but she was looking for just the right one. Most of the people who died before were just old people that she wanted nothing to deal with. But with this plague, the younger ones we're dying, and she was sure she could find one that was worth her time to harvest. Speaking of looking at bodies to harvest, she turned her attention to her brother, raising an eyebrow in the unspoken question of when they could leave out. She was wanting to get moving and get the rest of the parts she needed.

Aldrich wandered along the beaten path of fresh green grass rich with weeds, herbs, and flowers alongside the occasional branch or two. In truth, it was safe to say that there was no path, and they certainly were not following one. The little Vampire that he was was slugging behind his partner in crime who had revealed himself as the one and only, Calanar Faeron. Calanar was originally known as Tenrai for those of you who aren't following along as closely as you should. At some point during their travels, and by that I mean right after they had embarked on their journey, the two had become lost on their way and began to wander about the country and had somehow ended up leaving Essfraxon and meandering all the way over into Kenai, more specifically the Federation of Kranila.
The travel so far has been long and hard, with both of their sanities being tested, but even more so for Aldrich who was still a sapling Vampire whose thirst for blood was more ferocious than that of his race's most seasoned warrior. Speaking of thirst, Aldrich hadn't fed in quite some time, and was looking very rough around the edges, hell, he was practically oozing with a palpable bloodlust at this point which was scaring away any potential prey, but it wasn't his fault, his was still new at this whole drinking blood thing. To emphasis this, his stomach rumbled which caused an irritable sigh to escape past the Vampire's lips.
"I must say Calanar, it's kind of disappointing for us to be lost.. especially all the way out here in the woods, y'know, ZE HOME OF YOUR PEOPLE? And I'm not trying to be racist anyzing, but isn't your kind supposed to be ze masterful hunters of these parts? Why haven't you found anyzing for us to eat? It's been four days.. FOUR.. days.." Aldrich's fists were clenched tightly at his sides and he shouldered forward with narrowed eyes. Speaking of his eyes.. boy oh boy did they have the worse set of bags underneath them. Aside from food and drink, sleep was also at the top of the list of things Aldrich was lacking.
"I'm not saying I blame you for everyzing, Amias is to blame as well. I mean, who the hell drops people off in the middle of the desert with no directions. If I didn't know any better I would say he wanted us to die.." Truthfully Aldrich didn't know any better. Even though he considered Amias a friend, they weren't really that close, not nearly as close as Calanar and he had become over their year long journey. Even though Al was the one following Calanar, he stopped dead in his tracks and motioned for his companion to do the same. The young Vampire's eyes squinted as he strained his dulled senses to try and hone in on a sound that he may or may not have even heard for he could very well have hallucinated it with the state he was in.
Thankfully, he heard it again, something akin to a whisper begin carried on the wind. That wasn't the only thing either to his surprise. His nose caught hint of a strange scent, or scents for that matter, that he had never experienced before. Intrigued at this new discovery and the possible chance for a meal, he started off towards the origin of what we would soon find out to be a equally strange duo as themselves. Aldrich would quickly close in on a door which he kindly met with the heel of his boot which would send it flying open if not off of it's hinges into the room. Upon seeing living breathing sources of food people inside, the Vampire would quickly spring back, leaping several meters from the doorway as to avoid any form of danger.
Truthfully though, he wouldn't be surprise if he was attacked still, he was looking rather feral and well.. hungry, but hopefully they seeing that he had the common sense to retreat would stop any unnecessary wound he would have to regenerate from which would in turn only make him more exhausted, bloodthirsty, and hungry, but let's not forget agitated which would put him in a state to be more easily provoked to action. Thankfully the time of day was dusk, so he wasn't as weak as he could be from the power of the damned sun bearing down onto him. Why must his kind be weak to solar rays!? With one hand outstretched in front of him with his fingers spread as if ready to catch an incoming blow, should one of the siblings step out he would ask them to wait before attacking. Hopefully Calanar would explain things to them because Aldrich sadly didn't have the patience or willingness to do so in his state. Should the siblings decide to attack though, he still had his other hand hidden behind his back ready to cast a spell at a moments notice to eviscerate them.
»Passives: • Detect Magic The magus can detect magic. This means when others cast spells, or emanate high amounts of energy, you can see their aura. This also means you can detect magic in an area, meaning if an area has something magical about it, you can feel it. At expert rank, you can determine the source in an area. Each source of magic has a special signature, meaning a magus will be able to recognize the energy of a person if they are expert rank or higher.
• Regeneration This is passive meaning it does it on its own. At different ranks you may regenerate your wounds. Trainees can only deal with cuts, by novice deep cuts, Adept rank you wont bother with a broken bone, masters can deal with an entire sword going through your body, and you can deal with a removed arm or leg, as well as internal damage to the organs.
• Telepathy A skill that simply allows vampires to communicate with other vampires or those they have bitten within a week, letting them discuss strategy or simply have a discussion. The range of how far one must be from the other is vast, to be able to communicate one must be within the same country as the target. However, to be able to speak with them they must know each other. In the case of a progeny and a creator, they can talk to each other from across the world. The creator can also physically effect their progenies from anywhere, making them feel a longing to come to the one who turned them.

Somewhere deep in the back of his mind, yet somehow close like a whisper in his mind, a voice would ring out. In a year, Almira hadn't breached his mind to speak to him even once. A year ago was when she'd selfishly turned a young elf named Lucien into her progeny and the feelings of resentment he transmitted into her mind made her shut them both out. A year was a long time to small minds, but for them it was almost as if a blink. But now, she was clsoe and she felt his bloodlust tugging on her dress. In her own combat state just minutes ago, she had felt the same. For him, these feelings would transfer through the link in her first words, sweet like chocolate and just as dark. "Aldrich." With her ability to compel him, she would create a sort of calm between them both, culling the bloodlust so her words would come through more. "Hear me, Aldrich. I command you open your mind to me. I am near my friend. I have been so closed off from you, I gave you life and set you back into a world without helping you acclimate. For that I am sorry, but I am here again. The people you are so wary of... be careful that your need to feed does not cause you to come to harm. I will come to you soon... well rather you will come to me. Until then, my progeny, be safe." Just as she began, his mind was quiet. However, their link was finally open again, and she was a mere thought away. And fairly clsoe in distance.

• The Rite of Blood Upon obtaining expert rank, you may use this ability only twice, so choose wisely. If someone has died and not yet rotted completely, you may bring them back as a vampire. The ritual is simple; shove a liter of blood down their throat, and then bring them somewhere with no light. Not even moonlight. If this is done before rotting gets too grim, after a few hours they'll rise up, as your progeny. Being a progeny has benefits and losses. The one who turned you into a vampire will always feel the desire to protect you, and will not do harm onto you. Similarly, you will feel the same protective instinct, preventing you from harming them as well. You literally can't find it within you to hurt them. The one who turned you can get you used to being a vampire; to the life of bloodlust, avoiding the sun, whatnot. However, you will always be connected to them in a way some may not like. Their words will influence you, and greatly. While they cannot simply 'command' you, they can make you want to do things that you wouldn't ordinarily do, and could almost certainly make you do things that you would ordinarily do. You want to impress them. They're like your rolemodel, and your mind can fall under the mercy of their will. This is the benefit of owning a progeny.
• Every knight has the ability to ignore pain in battle, even ignoring the pain of severed limbs for a certain amount of time.
• Sunder: If using an attack and the opponent conjures up a barrier, the user may shatter the defense if it is two ranks below them. If the barrier is one rank below them, they can stagger the opponent with just sheer force, causing them to be so distracted with their next post that only one skill can be used.
• Blood at Dusk: Passively blots out the sun and moon whenever combat begins. As combat progresses, darkness begins to reign from the black orb, stretching across the sky as if a visibly corrupted night was poisoning the sky. At the same time, the black orb slowly becomes stained more and more red. After five posts, the entire sky becomes an eerie black, and the bloodmoon glows a bright red in the sky. This not only cancels any annoyance caused by the sun in combat, but it allows her to project her shadow magic from the murky darkness in the sky. After the five post timer completes, a separate resource bar called the Berserk meter begins to fill itself as well. Each post in combat, attack used, and/or attack sustained adds 10 points to the bar, which has a maximum of 100, and upon filling Almira gains a temporary +1 to her potency, but loses any form of friend or foe identification. It also augments her skills used from the subclass, but only lasts for 4 posts. Afterwards, she cannot enter the berserk state for another 4 posts.
Technique
• The Last Shadow A This is, by all intents and purposes, a very powerful spell. It is a spell named after a vampiric legend. There was once an order of vampires who made a deal with a powerful wizard. They became known as shadowalkers. They were named this, because in exchange for the first form of shadow magic, they suddenly and very instantly would combust upon entering any form of sunlight. Unlike their other vampiric kin, the sunlight could kill them at any time, rather than just bringing them pain. But -- some say that the sacrifice may have been worth it, for the power they obtained. They gained the greatest of the shadow abilities; the power to imbue true sentience into shadows. This ability is very simple. For nine posts, a great shadow will follow you. It can screw with people's emotions. The shadow is said to be made of blood, and this rumor comes with good reasoning. The shadow can screech and scream, with red haze filling the area around it. Of course, the shadow does nothing for the initial post other than its screeching. But, after the first one post of it simply resting behind you, the shadow will rise. And this shadow will give rise to other shadows, intelligent and cunning. They will rise around you from all sides, like a gown, and then disappear into the floor. There are eight of these, all similar to the Prowler of the Dark. They will make quick and deadly leaps from the ground and attempt to assassinate their target, before melding into the floor again. It's a very difficult ability to handle, as the ability will result in these shadows continuing to relentlessly attack the enemy for nine posts, the ability unable to be dispelled by any means.
• Invocation: Propulsion [V] A caster can fly almost as fluidly as something with wings though turning is more difficult as their control is not as potent. This needs only to be activated once for it to last until the mage turns it off. They propel flames from their limbs, using them like jets to rocket them around at high speeds.
• Blade Aura A Upon activation, several blades will come to the Vanguard's aid. Each blade of energy having it's own arm to attack with. Using this skill makes Rev completely free. With an extra 10 blades at his disposal, the amount of Rev's created per post will surely overwhelm the strongest of enemies. When swords are being normally swung, counts as a B Ranked attack per swing. Lasts for 3 posts.

Stepping through the woods alongside his partner Aldrich, Calanar couldn't help but smile softly to himself, it had been quite some time since they'd began their journey to find places to explore and train in, having been sent to Val'ghast by Amias, only to somehow get lost along the way and end up in Kenai; how this happened no one knows, just know that Calanar is extremely directionally challenged. Though he didn't mind their excursion into the woods, he loved nature and everything about it; so just being near it kept him calm and at peace with the world, unlike his feral friend Aldrich who was constantly looking like he was going to eat the next thing they came across, be it an animal or a humanoid creature. Though some part of it was his fault, having gotten them lost in the woods with no food or water; he'd also offered Aldrich the ability to drink his blood many times, only to be turned down with the reasoning of "He doesn't want to drink his close friends blood." which personally he found to be quite stupid, but then again who was he to judge.
When Aldrich began speaking in his usual heavy german accent, Calanar focused on his words; taking them in with a calming smile on his face as he allowed his friend to vent by ranting at him about getting them lost. When he mentioned the being masterful hunters in the forest, Calanar merely shook his head lightly; amused by the thought of being a master hunter as opposed to the magically trained person he was now. Maybe if he was a hunter he would be better at directions, then again maybe he wouldn't be and instead he would be a hunter that just kept getting lost and never found their way back home after an unsuccessful hunt in the woods. With that in mind he spoke in a soft tone, his deep yet soothing voice echoing around them. "Some of my people are master hunters, that is correct. I myself am so directionally challenged I'd be ashamed to be a hunter, I'd get lost just trying to find the place TO hunt, I'd probably end up in the desert for crying out loud." Giving a melodic laugh the dusk elf resumed walking forward, having slowed down considerably to ponder on his traveling companions frustrations before responding to him.
Noticing Aldrich stop cold in the middle of the woods, Calanar couldn't help but raise a single eyebrow in confusion for a moment before noticing the way the man was acting when it came to a specific direction. As his vampire friend rushed in that direction the elf mage couldn't help but let out a soft sigh of annoyance, having hoped that they would just continue on with their trek through the woods instead of taking any detours, but then again this could lead them somewhere useful. Seeing the man kick a door in roughly before jumping backwards upon seeing something inside, Calanar carefully retrieved his staff from his back, holding it lightly in his right hand as magic gathered in his left in preparation; should anyone or anything come and attack them.
As he walked forward more and noticed two humanoid creatures in the home, he merely looked to the side; bopping Aldrich on the head with his staff before speaking in a booming tone, hoping to reach any people within the home to let them know that they weren't hostile. "Greetings humanoid creatures! My name is Tenrai Hiragi, me and my partner here mean you no harm, and I apologize for your door. He's become somewhat feral in his lack of food; see we've been lost for nearly four days in these woods trying to find our way to Val'ghast, and as such we lack both food and water. We mean you no harm, if you would be willing to allow us entrance and perhaps water to wet our lips before we set out on our journey once more." With that said he would fall silent, making sure to keep his magic channeling seeing as he didn't know what was actually within the home.
• Dementia This ability allows them to store a tiny fraction of Justor's magic into their own body. The result is simple and yet very efficient. Not only are their casting times reduced by one post, but their spells are increased in size and range (and speed... slightly). This makes their magic harder to dodge, further solidifying them as the most efficient magic-users. The rate at which size/range are increased = add 1/3 of the base. So, 15 feet in length would become 20 feet in length. Speed is increased by about 1/5th, although this can become overwhelming if you constantly sling spells.
• Mania *Can be used at any time The Dark Elves may project their immediate conscious into the moonlight, and projecting your conscious into very nearby mana allows you to directly connect to Justor's energy. This allows for a wide-range of spells that are not possible with other bloodlines, simply in concept. Furthermore, these spells are all free of energy, as they use the mana nearby, not your own reserves.
These abilities, as listed: The Dance of Veils By projecting your magical conscious somewhere else, a very quick and easy process, you may warp to that location, similar to a teleport. Upon disappearing, your location is wrapped in a dusk-colored shroud, and re-appearing is animated by a bright white flash. Of course, this is a very useful spell, but it may only be done once every other post. You can only teleport up to twenty feet away. It should be noted that you only project your [magical conscious] here, meaning you don't go blank or lose concentration while using this.
The Scion of Justor In legend, it is told that Empress Cirstec - the first Dark Elf - was brought to a state of immortality and divinity by Justor. This ability conjures her influence in the mana rather than his, allowing for a unique spell. Cirstec will allow you to twist the light around you, making you invisible to the enemy's eyes. Those with good hearing/smell can still sense you, but many people will be unable. Casting or attacking ends this spell. This means all you can really do is walk and run. It's useful when cornered, as it's a very potent hiding skill. It's also useful when trying to use a surprise attack, although the technique will end the moment you begin the attack. The most common use of Cirstec's shroud is waiting for the cooldown on the Veil (teleportation) to come off, so that you may make distance between you and the target. The Veil will not end the shroud until it has already teleported you.
I Am Loved This is a legendary ability of the Dark Elves, only spoken of in stories for its heartwarming take on the relationship of Justor, Solonor, and their children. If a dark elf is to die, their light fading and their blood running cold, they may call upon their God and hope that he answers. Those with mark three and above can use this once in a real life year, though they will be ejected from the fight and teleported far away after being brought back to life. This will simply not work for someone with a lower marking.
• Detect Magic Passive The magus can detect magic.
• Chosen Element - Earth Passive The element that the Magus chooses to gains a substantial increase in potency, making them larger, more refined and generally easier to cast. They cannot change elements once they have chosen.

Michael would notice the look on Agni's face when she saw the teddy bear and let a wide smile cross his face. He never got to see the look of wanting to leave due to the fact his front door came flying at the two. Quickly using his scythe that he had in his hands to cut the door in half so it wouldn't hurt the two. Looking at the door he would notice that the first had one hand behind his back and the second one outright had Magic charging in his hand.
He would listen to the one named Tenrai and look over to his sister, before hoisting his weapon over his shoulder and waved them in. "You can come in on two conditions. One you drop your magics and two you promise to keep your friend from attacking us. I am Michael Kasai and this is my little sister. You said you were lost and trying to get to Val'ghast. Um you would want to head in the opposite direction as we are in the exact middle of Kranila." As he said this he kept an eye on the two while eye grabbed two glasses of water and gave them to the newcomers.

Break their hold 'Cause I won’t be controlled They can’t keep their chains on me When the truth has set me free
xxxAgni heard the door start to fly at them and yelped, ducking under her table so she wasn't hit. She hugged Teddy to her chest, glaring at the door as she tried to take in who was outside. She heard one of them speak, calling himself Tenrai and saying that they were lost. She frowned, getting out from under the table and peeking outside so she could see what they looked like. She tilted her head as she noticed that they weren't exactly human. In fact, the red head was sticking out to her, and he still had the feel of death around him. Growling, she summoned up five skeletons before retreating inside. She pushed one of the more comfortable chairs against the wall before seating herself, having the skeletons surround her in a protective circle. She knew that her brother could handle himself if it came down to it. She wasn't sure what the Red Head was. The simple fact that she could feel Death around him made her be set on edge. She made sure she could still see the front room clearly as she saw her brother get two glasses and fill them with water before going to offer it to the two people outside. "Watch the Red Head Onii-San. He still feels of Death. I don't like it." She said as she watched the door wearily. She pulled her Teddy to her chest again, hoping that she wasn't going to have to attack them because they threatened her big brother. She was still sore and hurting from the last battle. She probably needed to clean out her cuts and bandage them again, but she couldn't be bothered right now. Not with two people there that she had to be weary of. Her eyes traveled to her her desk and she frowned, not wanting them touching anything over there and messing up the organization she had going on. Moving her Skeletons, she quickly rushed over to her desk, putting everything in neat stacks and moving them to her room, making sure to shut the door before she returned to her chair, she skeletons forming a wall once again. Of course if her brother wanted through, they would move out of the way, but the other two would find their way blocked, and rather menacingly as they protected their master. She would just calmly stay there as she tried to figure out whether or not the two newcomers were friend or foes.

Aldrich felt the wood of Calanar's staff impact the back of his head which resulted in a resounding thonk as well as a small welt which was hidden under his thick auburn hair. Calanar's playful manner when it came to interacting with Aldrich combined with this fresh yet old sensation running back to the young Vampire helped to calm his nerves which seemed to also subdue his predatory instincts for the time being. The voice of Almira ringing inside his head, etching it's way into every nook and cranny it could find inside of his mind and intertwining itself with all his thoughts brought forth a sense of nostalgia but also a sense of suppressed anger which was birthed into existence by the abandonment she had shown him a year ago. Nonetheless, her words and the mood she passed on to him seemed to further along the process of calming the Vampire's well.. desires.
The link between the two was cut as Almira retreated from his mind for the time being but the feeling was still there, should Aldrich desire to he could contact his creator once more with their reestablished link. Aldrich became visibly less hostile, his posture slackening and the look in his eyes was less blood, murder, rage, consume, and more of a general weary look laced with fatigue. Overall he looked more like a person who was on the defense rather than a predator ready to pounce, so that was a plus. When the older of the two siblings also took a lax posture, even going as far as to essentially holster his weapon in a sense, Aldrich mentally breathed a sigh of relief. Even with how hungry he was and with how much the thirst was pecking at his mentality he didn't wish to slay these two, not unless absolutely necessary.
Seemingly dropping his guard the Vampire stood up straight and slowly strode over to the door where he awaited the glass of water. If you were to think though that he wasn't ready to strike at any given moment simply because he appeared casual you are nothing but a fool. "Zank you.." Aldrich spoke his gratefulness for the first time in front of the siblings, his thick and heavy German accent bleeding through his words that seemed to rumble from his chest. With a shaky hand out of anticipation, the young Sorcerer brought the glass of water to his lips, almost spilling some of it along the way, and down the source of re-hydration in a single go followed by a long content sigh of satisfaction. With a lick of his lips he would hold the glass out towards Michael and tilt the container his way, motioning that he wouldn't mind a refill if possible.
Vibrant ruby orbs that almost seemed to glow peered into the house from the entrance of the home, scanning it's contents for no other purpose than curiosity. When his eyes landed on the shield of skeletal warriors that were protecting a little girl, his eyes narrowed slightly as his ears picked up on her exhortation to be wary of himself for her brother's sake. "What do you mean I feel of deaz? Is zat a racial zing? Is it because I am a Vampire?" Well it seems after having calmed down a bit and getting a drink of water that Aldrich was returning to his old self bit by bit, which was further emphasized by his jovial nature towards the little girl, a small teasing smile tugging at his lips as he poked fun at her to try and cut what tension may still be lingering in the air.

Looking at the male named Michael with a calculating gaze, Calanar allowed his gaze to shift over to Aldrich calmly, taking in the mans state of being and response to their potential hosts words. If Aldrich felt the need to attack than as his partner he would be forced to back him up in that endeavor, however thankfully his rational mind took over past his Feral mind; allowing him to realize that it would be best to simply walk into the building and accept water and potential food if offered rather than kill two innocent people that knew nothing about them or what they were doing in the woods to begin with. When the man mentioned releasing his magic before entering, Calanar merely nodded his head; allowing the spell dancing across his fingertips to simply fade away into nothingness as if it never existed to begin with. Stepping into the building behind Aldrich he reached forward to lightly grab the offered glass of water with a light bow in thanks, bringing it up to lightly sip on as he looked around quietly. He was what would be considered the quiet calculating one of the group, whereas Aldrich was loud and headstrong when it came to speaking to people, always questioning straight up without gleaning any prior information before speaking to people.
Taking in the tenseness of both Aldrich and Michael's muscles, Calanar allowed a charming smile to dance across his lips before he looked over to his friend Aldrich as the man spoke to the little girl that was hiding off to the side in what he assumed was fear with skeleton minions surrounding her to keep them away from her. Thinking about it from a third party perspective they were somewhat intimidating looking, Aldrich had long blood red hair and paleish skin with fangs and scary eyes, whereas Calanar had dark grey skin with piercing crimson eyes and long flowing black hair. They weren't exactly the picture of innocence if he was to be completely honest about it, so it wasn't too surprising that the girl would avoid coming near them for the time being. However Calanar wasn't about to let that stop him from trying to get her to be unafraid of them, and with that in mind he carefully walked towards her; making sure to keep his hands up in a disarming manner so both Michael and her summons don't attack him thinking he was going to hurt her. Stopping a few feet from her and the skeletons he spoke in a soft tone, shifting his eyes to the side as if he was "keeping a secret" from the other two as he whispered just loud enough for her to hear. "If you want I can show you some cool magic tricks, but you'd have to keep it a secret from Mr Grumpy Pants Aldrich and your big brother. It would be our special little secret." Giving her a soft smile the dusk elf waited for her to respond by crouching down slightly, making it easier to rest as he looked up at her; giving him even more of a disarming appearance since he wasn't attempting to look or act big before her.
• Chosen Element - Earth Passive The element that the Magus chooses to gains a substantial increase in potency, making them larger, more refined and generally easier to cast. They cannot change elements once they have chosen.
What if all you understand, Could fit into the center of our hand, Then you found it wasn't you, Who held the sum of everything you knew,
Michael would nod as he refilled the glass for the Vampire and as he walked back he noticed the elf near his sister. Hearing the man's words he just let a small smile shine from his face as he handed the glass of water to the Vampire. He would look at the two before deciding to strike up a deal with the two. "So you two are lost correct? Well me and my sister here were about to head out, but I suppose we could be your guides to Val'ghast. In exchange we need a little help with some digging in the nearby village, if you help us dig just one Itty bitty hole let's say six feet deep we'll guide you towards your destination. Also sis grab what you're going to need we must be leaving real soon."
After he finished his little proposal Michael would walk to the wall of weapons and begin pulling some down. A shotgun, twin katanas, two semi automatic pistols, Twin Revolvers, and his Scythe which with a press of a button folded into a rectangular box that fit in the small of his back. Next he grabbed all the ammo he believed he would need for the trip. Finally he grabbed his trench coat and hat and donned his gear. He looked like he was ready for war instead of a normal digging expedition.

What if the one thing that I missed, Was everything I need to pass the test, And if I fail what happens then, Can I still count on you as a friend?

Break their hold 'Cause I won’t be controlled They can’t keep their chains on me When the truth has set me free
xxxAgni listened to the red head as he seemed to get offended by her comment, then state that he was a vampire. She furrowed her eyebrows together and tilted her head a bit. She had heard of those kinds of creatures, but she had never seen one. They didn't look much different then humans. They just had the feel of death around them. Of course normal people wouldn't feel that. She was special because of her powers. She saw the other male approach her and pulled her bear closer to her chest, shrinking back in the chair as her summons pulled the line tighter. He didn't attack however, seeming to try and remain as non threatening as possible. She relaxed, but only mildly as she listened. Now that intrigued her. She tilted her head as she moved her summons out of the way. "You can do magic too? I've never really met another magic user. Well, if you want to count those other kids that I had to fight. But they were fledglings at it. And your companion is a Vampire? I've never even seen one of those. Only in my books. You guys just became much more interesting. What kind of magic can you do?" She asked, getting slightly excited. She had her summons go past the vampire and out the door before they collapsed into a pile of bones. These guys weren't threatening, so she didn't have to keep wasting her magic to maintain them. Before she could ask to many other questions though, her brother spoke. She pursed her lips and gave her brother a pouty look. "Only one big brother? But I have yet to find one that has everything I need. And I still need several components. Can't we do a few? Pretty Please?" She asked, giving him the puppy dog eyes before going over to her table, looking around and pulling out several tarps, which she put into a backpack for easier carrying around. Of course once she had what she wanted Michael was going to have to carry it, since it was going to be to heavy for her. She paused for a moment, thinking that it they were going to be travelling, then she was going to have to bring everything with her. So she got another pack, carefully packing up the jars with the parts already in it so she could carry them along as well. Making sure they were well padded, she looked around to make sure that she didn't need anything else before nodding her head and putting the pack with the tarps on her back before motioning to the other bag for her brother to carry. It would be to heavy for her to carry. She then almost smacked herself, almost forgetting one of the most important things. She put her pack back down and put the Grimoire in it, making sure she wasn't leaving any important books or papers, shuffling through several of them, putting a couple in the backpack before putting it back on her back and holding her bear with one arm while she waited for her brother to tell her it was time to leave. She hoped that the other two would help them. It would make things so much easier for her.
