Hobbies:
-Boxing: A high energy young woman, she loves the adrenaline and the organized chaos. It’s not that she can’t fight dirty, and she certainly has, but she likes the combination of rules and ferocity, and the fact that it might cause some people to do a double take just makes her enjoy it more.
-Yoga: This started out just to help her control her moods when she was younger, and to be entirely honest, she’s horrible at it, she continues to be horrible at it, and will probably continue to struggle with it in the future… but she likes that it’s something to focus on, and even if she keeps falling over trying to do the Crescent Moon and will never live down nearly concussing herself (somehow) doing Downward Dog, it makes her feel centered, but also keeps her moving, which helps it work better for her than straight up meditation.
Virtues:
This Girl is On Fire:- It’s hard to beat Ginger for pure enthusiasm, she has a considerable amount of get up and go, and loves the life she’s living, even the bumpy patches, because it’s her life, and she’ll fight to do it her way. She embraces optimism as though it's a life saving force, keeping her head above water, and tries to use it for the good of others as well
Human Shield if you need someone to stand between you and as many problems as she's able, Ginger is your woman. Especially with bullies or other abusers; she won't play games, verbal or physical, and her go to is to try and scare the scary right back. Inspired by old tales of the times when one “Super Van” roamed the streets, she likes to think of herself as something of a hero to the down trod ones, particularly those who she counts as close to her or within her protection. Even if it's just for show; she's happy to show off her customized baseball bat. Pink, and covered in glitter and stickers, and the phrase “fight like a girl”. Preferably describing it is enough, but she'd rather get in trouble herself than see someone else get in trouble or get hurt. She's already assumed her reputation to be set in stone; the girl who fights, why shouldn't she take the hits if it helps?
Mother Bear: Ginger is the type, to make sure her friends and family have everything they need. The "Mom Friend" there is very little that Ginger isn't prepared for. Her bag is full of any item that someone might need. She's always willing to lend a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen, even going as far to give her friend perhaps unsolicited advice.
Flaws:
Play with Fire; get burned This sunny; hot tempered young woman does her best to fight for a good cause; if partially because damned if she's not a bit good at getting into fights or jumping into them? Once she's in an argument it's a down hill slide until she's considering solving it with a punch; something she struggles to have a hand on but old habits are a b*****d. Men are particularly vulnerable to this flaw; as for better or worse she seems to retain the conviction that the best way to get through a point to them is via percussionary discourse.
Doubts, I've got a Few: Ginger isn't dumb; far from it; but she struggles to see her own intelligence, at least any time some degree of battle or gut level; instinctive judgement is involved. Her self defeating attitude tends to lead to an assumption that she'll fail more intellectually challenging tasks, and becomes a self fulfilling prophecy when she doesn't try or doesn't give it her all; preferring to leave it to people she's judged her superior, which tend to be friends.
Opinionated: Ginger has opinions, strong ones, on the state of the world and certain policies and ideas that currently make the world work. She is very vocal with these opinions, whether she aught to be or not.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: Amber, slightly almond shaped
Hair: Vivid, faintly rusty red like a sunset, with dyed in blonde streaks all throughout it. Unbraided it’s prone to subtle but unkempt waves, braided it likes to come out of it’s braid in wild fly aways she’s constantly, distractedly brushing away rather than dealing with.
Face: Shape, features -- tell us if your character has a round or oval or heart-shaped face, freckles or not, big ears or not.
Clothes:
Tattoos- A dragon and flowering branches covers a lot of Ginger’s front left side, and she has others open for interpretation by her first artist. She has a fondness for dangerous animals combined with flowers. Say, a scorpion surrounded by cactus blooms or the like might be on her arm.
