StibniteThe senshi’s punch never made it through to the foolish Wardite. A shadow flew between the woman in white and the agent stopping in mid air like a shield.
Two quick whistles sounded from no where and the form moved again. With a gust of air, the bird like creature took back into the air and spun around to gaze down at the six figures below it. With a sharp whistle, it flew from its spot in the sky back towards the far shadow of the warehouse. There, it hovered a moment before landing on the extended arm of a hooded woman.
Red eyes glared at the women who stood over her charges but she said nothing. There was death in her face as she jerked her arm up and sent the youma back into the air.
“No little senshi…” Stibnite finally said, stepping forward but appearing to teleport to just beside the red headed senshi she had met before. Her eyes were locked on the woman’s face as she drew back her hand and drove a punch into Sabine’s gut. “You all should stay down...and you…” She hissed at Sabine before lifting her hand up and her weapon appeared to her wrist. “I won’t let you walk away this time…”
But when she pointed the weapon, it wasn’t at Sabine but towards Kastra. “Move an inch and your friend here will be a pincushion.” But she didn’t wait for a response as her youma dove, claws bared towards the senshi of mediation.
Imperiatrix Imperiatrix felt the world tilt with the confusing rush of emotions, compounded by the unexpected power signatures that had joined the battle like gravity wells. Trouble. Lots of trouble, and…
And no matter what, people were going to get hurt. Goddamn freaking X-men -bullshit-. She couldn’t stop someone from getting hurt, and she didn’t know how to minimize the damage. Throwing her bat came to mind, but that just meant it was up for grabs, the only thing she could think of was to try and get between Kastra and the diving youma, and hope she and Kastra were harder to hit when moving, at least by the agent’s weapon. For the bird… she’d just have to count on whatever protection her jacket provided, and whatever the others could do. Her magic wasn’t ranged, she needed them closer…. Unless…
s**t all these ideas were probably literally terrible.
Terrible was sometimes all you had to work with.
She glanced toward Kastra, did her best feint in the Senshi of Meditations direction, and then sprinted as hard and fast toward Stibinite as possible. She knew Phact. She seemed to potentially know Kastra. Imperiatrix was the unknown factor, and she prayed to whatever was listening that unknown was also unpredictable. Luck be a lady because goddamn, Imperiatrix wasn’t about to be.
LeuciteThough Imperatrix was an unknown, the general who had teleported onto the scene after Stibnite was not one to let charges go unanswered. He had willed Iudicael into existence beside him even as he’d entered reality once more.
“Down,” was the only command spoken to the youma, who then burst forward, and with a fanged snarl jumped at the senshi of tattoos, it’s body crashing into her, jaws snapping to find purchase against her flesh.
The general was already in motion, his next step his spear was up and he teleported again, behind the senshi of doves, slashing his blade into the small of her back - shallow, painful. It would bleed, weaken her.
Because he was hardly going to let them leave unscathed…
WarditeWardite groaned, but aside from staying on his hands and knees he did not rise further. The world swam around him, pitching and rolling like a storm tossed sea. He felt the new signatures, and heard the voices.
He let his body slack against the floor just long enough to raise his head. These senshi were ********… he didn’t want to miss it.
SabineShe grunted as the punch found her gut, forced to cradle it for a moment before realizing just how terrible a situation they were in. But she knew there was one thing she could do. Something this witch of a woman would never understand.
Sabine dove - not toward Stibnite - but toward Kastra, covering the other senshi with her body like a shield, bracing herself for impact of bolts and claws…
KastraShe had been more than ready to prepare for the attack from the youma. She had not, however, been ready for Sabine to dive in and pin her to the ground. She let out a cry, she flexing under Sabine. “you don't have to protect me!”
She knew that the higher ranked agent would attack again, would go for Sabine’s back, and she would be damned if she let her go for the low blow.
“when she moves in for the attack, roll, i will go for the side if her face.” she looked up, watching the flying youma come slashing down at them.
She grabbed at the floor, getting a handful of dirt and tossing it up and into the eyes of the creature. “get back!!!”
StibniteThe cry that came out from the youma was ear piercing as dirt flew into its face. Even so, it kept on the course, talons reaching out and grabbing hold fabric. The dirt to its face had caused a change in course missing the vitals of her back but it ripped to shreds the bow on her backside. As if to make up for the failed grab, her tail fanned out, catching a glint of whatever light was in the warehouse. As the wings flapped up, her tail came down and slashed through Sabine’s back and side. With a flick of its muscles, the ends of her tail upwards, claiming flesh from Kastra’s arm as it took back to the air.
Stibnite’s reaction to the approaching senshi was nothing more than a c**k of her head as she watched Iudicael come from the side towards her attacker. Without a word, her attention went back to the two senshi on the floor near her. “Fools.” She whispered, stepping forward. Stibnite did not shoot her weapon but lowered her arm as she teleported to appear just above the heads of the senshi. Her foot came down onto a clump of Kastra’s dark hair. “You really should cut that.” The Captain smirked, her weapon now coming up. Three shots went off from her wrist. All three aimed at the small of Sabine’s back as she covered the other senshi. If she rolled, they would have found Kastra.
Pulling her wrist back, she waited a moment before granting a fourth, aimed straight towards the shoulder of Kastra.
PhactThe senshi of doves hardly had time to react to the feeling of a wall stopping her fist before she felt her flesh rip apart. The scream she let out was masked by the shriek of the youma across from her. Phact felt her back arch in pain as the blade sliced through her fuku and claimed flesh and blood. Phact dropped to her knees as she leaned forward to support her weight on her arms. She could feel the blood run over her back.
This...this was not something they had planned for. This was not something any of them expected. Every possible outcome and not one of them ever believed higher ranked agents would appear. Two crazy lieutenants with a drug problem and hostages was one thing. Even if they had friends in hiding, they could still at least bring them down until the cops showed up. A Captain and a...that aura didn’t lie. Behind her was a full General. Both with youma at their complete control. Slowly lifting her head up just enough to see through her bangs, Phact felt her heart stop. Sabine trying to protect Kastra. Both discovering first handedly the cruelty that could flow through the veins of agents. Imperatrix...their newest senshi...the only one of them who hadn’t faced this darkness before...being sucked into it all face first.
Phact could feel her hands slowly ball into fists. No. She wouldn’t let these agents get the best of them. They were stronger than this...they had to be…”We will not give in...”
With her right hand, she picked it up and mumbled….”Cooing…” then screamed…”Whispers!” As her body jerked back to send both doves that appeared flying towards the General she knew was there.
Without waiting, the senshi scrambled towards Imperatrix. It wasn’t pretty and it wasn’t lady like but Phact drove towards the dog like youma with her shoulder trying to shove it off her friend. “Your Bat!” She called out, as if she needed to. If they dusted the youma, even one under a General’s control, it would at least take it out for a time.
Imperiatrix:
‘Trix’s reply, though impassioned, was more furious, pained animal scream than ‘thanks for the tip’, however much she might have appreciated the thought. But there wasn’t a lot of space for talking when you were focused on trying to keep from being ripped apart by claws and teeth. The irrational part of her brain kept screaming that it was going to destroy her tattoos, that she’d -never- forgive that b*****d if his effing Zuul hound messed up her scorpion, but that was a knee jerk response to avoid thinking about the fact this thing could kill or maim her more easily than she wanted to think about.
The bat swung up in an arc of such fury that it looked like she was trying to hit not just the dog but somehow, by extension, the general behind it’s arrival and orders, trying to push it back. From there, if she had room, she’d give it something to chew on alright. She’d ram the damn bat so far down it’s gullet that it’d run the damn thing through and get it ready for a roasting pit.
Want something to chew on it? How about choke on it. She could replace the bat. She couldn’t replace herself or her friends.
LeuciteLeucite had seen the dove senshi before, had fought her and had generally won out. But he had not forgotten her birds. Birds that were assaulting him now, causing him to growl and bat off the birds, giving the senshi time to flee.
Iudiceal, loyal hound that it was, took the bat swing with a snarl, snapping at the bat, jaws locking on the wood and clamping down each tug and shake until finally the wood snapped with a resounding CRACK! The youma snarled and shaking it’s head it tossed the shattered bat aside, body going low to snap at Imperarix’s leg instead.
Leucite finally teleported away from the birds with a curse, appearing beside Phact again, lifting his spear to bring the metal bottom around to swing it in a wide arc toward Phact again, aiming to sweep her off her feet.
“Oh, no, you’re not getting away that easy.” He snarled, his rage beginning to well to the surface.
SabineShe felt the tail dig into her back, but she bit her lip to hold back the scream. She knew Kastra was more than capable of saving herself, but Sabine would not see her friend hurt if she could help it. She felt the warmth of her tears of pain flowing, and as the needles pierced her back as well her body shook, her lip finally bleeding from the intensity of her bite.
She looked down at Kastra then, giving her a nod before she dove at Stibnite’s legs, hoping to knock the officer to the ground so Kastra could get up and reposition. She didn’t dare make a sound, she would not give the Negaverse the satisfaction of knowing her pain.
Kastra Once Sabine had made her move, and the initial sting of the needle had faded, Kastra moved with a great need.
She got to her feet, she holding her shoulder and starting the needle free of it, before her eyes caught sight of Phact fighting one on one with the general. She new this man, knew what he could do. She would not let her friend be hurt any longer.
She moved at top speed, she darting around the fallen Stibnite, and through the open area before she managed to push Phact just enough to offset the attack. “get some distance! I have him!”
She stared the general down, hoping Phact would at least regroup behind her. “no fair hitting from behind! Though i should not expect a fair fight from you!” with one fluid movement, she threw her fist forward, aiming for the man's face.
StibniteStibnite went flying back as she found a small and very annoying senshi lunging towards her. Down she dropped, bracing herself for the fall but still bringing her right arm up. Two quick, hard hits with her elbow into the fresh wounds she had made on the female’s back. They made have gotten her to her butt but she wasn’t giving them the upper hand. A third hit went to just at she side where she could push against organs.
Once on the ground, Stibnite brought her knee up, trying to use it as leverage to get the senshi off her. When she found the senshi didn’t move, she shifted her plan. Pushing with her foot, Stibnite rolled the senshi over, pinning her to the ground with her own weight as Stibnite sat atop her.
There was no second to breathe before the first strike came. One strong right punch to the girl’s jaw, fully intended to make a point that this child should ‘stay down’. A second followed with her left, weapon dismissed, as she took two seconds to gaze towards Leucite.
Rising up, Stibnite stepped over the grounded senshi. “If you knew what was good for you, you wouldn’t try to move…” The Captain hissed, her boot coming up and pushing down against Sabine’s throat. “I’ll leave it up to the General here to decide your fate.”
PhactThe male’s voice caught her ears and she barely had anytime to think before a blur shoved her to the side. Stumbling back, the senshi of doves had to do a double take as she watched Kastra pull back to throw fist at his face.
Her voice was gone. She couldn’t even scream a warning as she watched all three of her dear friends...her court...those she had promised herself to protect...get beat down each and every passing second. “Kastra...Trix...Sabine…” Her voice was just at a whisper as she look each in turn.
That was when she felt it. The growing rage inside of her. The anger at herself but above all, the anger at the injustice of it all. There were no rules. Even in war people fought and learned. Here...this was a bloodbath. They had come to stop two agents using their powers and abilities to harm more people than a single starseed removal could ever do. What justice was it that in return for this they would forfeit their lives? “Enough…” Phact whispered, her eyes closing a moment as her entire body tensed. The pain down her back wasn’t even worth remembering as her mind latched onto one single thought. If she didn’t end this…”ENOUGH!”
The scream echoed through the warehouse as Phact’ released her anger. Eyes flashed open and she gazed stone cold at the agents.
But as quickly as she locked eyes with the General, her eyes were diverted. There, barely a foot in front of the senshi of doves formed a glowing white light. It came from nowhere but began to grown outward with each passing second. Then, as quickly as it appeared, it flashed, blinding her but a moment.
When Phact’s eyes adjusted, she stood there gazing at something she had never seen before. A staff of pure silver, roughly three foot long, was within her reach. At the top, Phact gazed at the iridescent orb hovering there protected by the dove wings. The symbols of her friends...her court...rotated protected by those wings.
Phact didn’t ask. She didn’t wait as her hand reached out and took the staff from the air. With a flick of her wrist, she held the staff as if it were a weapon. “Kastra! Sabine! Imperiatrix! Pull back! Now!”
She knew what she needed to do….
LeuciteThe attack by the senshi of meditation came as a bit of a surprise, but a quick teleport to the side and Leucite brought the haft of his spear up to deflect the fist away before he turned attention to Phact. He locked her gaze, and was about to tell her he’d determine when enough was enough, when there was a sudden flash and he blinked his eyes trying to clear them.
Staring at the newly summoned… thing, in Phact’s hands, his eyes narrowed and he teleported back to Stibnite. “Stand down,” he commanded. “Let them go. I believe our point has been made.”
He punctuated this with another command. “Iudicael, come!”
The youma whined, but released its grip on Imperatrix’s leg, quickly joining Leucite, still ready to attack on a moment's notice.
All the while, his eyes did not leave the wand in Phact’s hand. He did not trust it.
Imperatrix would never have admitted it, but she let out an internal sigh of relief when the youma’s grip released before she had to find out if jamming her thumbs into it’s eyes would do anything to it or just unleash an entire new horror show, when it’s teeth had already slowly been making an increasing presence known through the leather of her boots. Thank. GOD or… GODDESS or WHATEVER for the goddamn boots. She registered that Phact was holding something, but couldn’t decide if it was part of the shaped bat or a pipe or even if it mattered, as long as they had the chance to regroup.
She scrambled toward Phact with a hiss, limping from bruises and bite marks and trying to ignore the bloody scrapes from claws on her bare sides.
Not the bat. Definitely not the bat. Not a pipe either. She thought she’d been hallucinating the flash, some side effect to having things try and chew off your body parts, but no this was looking like some new magic, and she almost wanted to giggle hysterically because all they needed was a unicorn and this would remind her of a dark, horrible, edgy version of Mercy’s story to get back Delilah’s pen.
StibniteThe flash drew Stibnite’s attention as she quickly turned her head, ever grateful for the hood. When she did look back, there was no hiding the surprise on her face as she watched the woman in white take hold of an item that appeared before her.
Without a word, she stepped back and away from the senshi she had pinned, whistling to summon her own youma to her arm. Natayla flew towards her mistress and landed on the outstretched arm as she scanned the mess. Eyes going towards their fallen charges, she made sure to catch both Wardite and Piypite’s eyes with a wordless command to move behind the pair of them...NOW.
“What the hell is that?” Stibnite whispered to where only Leucite could hear….
SabineSabine was pleased her attack had gotten Kastra the chance to get into a better position, so she took the punches in stride, and tried to push the boot off her throat only to feel it move as the agent moved away, she rolled quickly then and dragged herself to Phact, to battered to even attempt to stand as she dropped next to her friends feet, hand gripping her ankle in an - albeit weak - show of support.
Tears of pain flowed freely and stained her cheeks. Everything hurt and the world spun, but she didn’t dare take her eyes off her friend, or the bright, magical wand she held…
WarditeWardite, contrary to the belief and opinions of the higher ranked officers in the room, wasn’t stupid. He slowly made his way to his feet and backed toward the general and captain, doing his best to not draw attention to himself so as to not get blasted by magical rainbow stardust bullshit deathbeams.
Leucite“I don’t know, and I don’t like that I don’t know. Stay alert, we have no idea what that,
thing, is and it could do anything.” Leucite replied under his breath, knowing he might be being overly paranoid, but not wanting to risk any of them to potential harm of an unknown nature.
All the same, he stood ready to attack at the first sign of aggression on the senshi’s part...
KastraAs the General sidestepped her attack, Kastra stumbled. She took a moment to realign herself before she stepped back.
Her body was hurting, her shoulder bleeding from the needles as well as the slashing marks made by the youma. She was holding back her tears as she moved to stand beside Phact. The battle was over, but how would they escape?
She looked to this new wand, seeing them all represented. She blinked and cocked her head only the slightest. It would not do to have the enemy know she was just as confused as they were.
PiypiteHaving managed to get air back into her lungs, Piy had gotten into a seated position and remained out of the way as she watched their wardens...well, kick butt was putting it lightly. To see what her cousin and the hunk of a General could do...lord if she could move better she would have been so giddy. But breathing alone still hurt…
With the flash of light though, Piy had to try and blink her vision clear as she crawled on all fours back behind Leucite and Stibnite. Hey, they were the fighters after all…
Looking up at War, she ran two fingers across her lips, a symbol for ‘zip your mouth’.
StibniteThere was a look of growing concern on her face as Leucite admitted he had never seen something like that before. Still, Stibnite re-summoned her weapon and stood at the ready. Her eyes scanned the four girls landing on the one crawling along the floor.
“I should have killed her when I had the chance before...I won’t waste this one…” She brought the shot up enough to aim at the back of Sabine’s neck.
PhactOut of the sides of her eyes, Phact could see the girls moving towards her. Each one of them was taking away physical wounds from this encounter that she knew would leave a lasting effect on more than just their bodies. Who were they to pass judgment over who lived and who died? That had been something posed to Phact once before….
Those deep red eyes never left the face of the General. She could see his uncertainty in them as well as his distrust. Who were
they to judge…
When she felt Sabine’s hand around her ankle, Phact gazed down at her friend...the first senshi she ever took under her wings. Inside, something snapped and she shifted her body so that with her free hand, she grabbed Kastra’s and nodded for her to take Imperatrix’s hand. A long, deep breath came to her as she gripped the staff tighter and closed her eyes. She could feel it...each of their powers, each of their strengths around her as she raised the wand up.
“SAILOR TELEPORT!” Phact screamed out as she opened her eyes again and met the gaze of the general. There was a look on her face as she disappeared from view taking each of her friends...her court with her.
...This isn’t over…And then they were gone.
LeuciteLeucite was more than fine with allowing Stibnite her shot at the nearly crippled senshi, as she had a history with her. It was a shameful waste of potential of course, but better a mercy killing than a brutal breaking.
But the needle never found its target as the dove senshi shouted and the group vanished from sight in a multicolored flash. Leucite felt his blood run cold.
“I need to report this - now.” He stated, moving to Wardite grabbing him by the hair and dragging to the group, before doing the same to Piypite and dragging her by her ear.
“Stibnite, punish them as you see fit, and ensure they are packed and ready to go to Romano’s tomorrow. I have a lot of work to do and we’re already out of time.” He said, placing a steady hand on her shoulder before grabbing the two lieutenants by their jackets in his other hand, and teleporting the lot of them back to the suburb house he and Stibnite called home.
