Something had changed recently, and dreams of the seas haunted any
Varsythe living near a body of water, be it ocean, lake, river, or puddle.
Something was stirring, currents had changed, and it felt like something
imperceptible but precarious had shifted in Zareth. Wolves lifted
their heads in the hours before dawn, nostrils flaring as they smelled
something unfamiliar, reminiscent of rain, of Spring, and of Life.
Most simply lay back down, pulling their Pups or Mates closer, content in
knowing they were safe, but that it wouldn't last long.
Meanwhile, a lone Beta padded softly across the sands of the eastern shore,
gazing out onto the moonlit waves. Something is Changing. She knew
it was her Duty, her Sacrifice to her beloved leader, but still she hesitated.
She knew that if she performed her job, some would die, but new lives would
rise. And yet... And yet, a direct order from the Alpha had to be obeyed. He
had come to her shrine, breathed life anew into her body, rose her
from the Void, and made a simple, undeniable request:
Bring Them Home.
So she knew what she must do. With a torn heart, the Beta took a tentative
step out into the waters, the liquid cool against the pads of her paws. She let
out a single, mournful howl, allowing it to fade into the darkness of the night.
And then she ran. With everything she had, the Beta raced not through, but
atop the waves, mist flying in her wake from the speed of her passing. Here,
she dipped her nose beneath the surface, and there she flicked her tail as
she raced, bounding from divot to swell to crest and back down once again.
It was her sworn and solemn promise, one that she had made centuries ago:
When you have need of me, White One, Call and I shall Obey.
As she raced around the perimeter of Zareth's continent, faster than the eye
could see, she made the waters of the world begin to rise, then to swell.
Higher and higher they grew, overflowing riverbanks, swallowing beaches,
miring the marshes and drowning lake shores. With each tide she felt within
her breast, she mourned and rejoiced, for the Beta knew that whilst life was
even now being struck out, many were rising to replace them.
Rains began to fall, filling the waters even more, sending tidal floods and
landslides roaring to life as the droplets, singular in their entity, came
together to form countless gallons of water washing across the lands. And
wasn't water such a fickle thing? It swept the legs out from under those who
had no warning, gave life to the dehydrated prey in the North, drowning
those too slow to race away from the rampaging torrents, yet also
bringing not only death, but Life. Wolves with fur and fins, shells and horns
rose from the swelled banks of the sea, the lakes, the rivers, bringing with
them the Blessed from the Spring Goddess. Panting, the Beta returned to
the small chain of Isles where she had fallen into a deep hibernation so many
years ago, feeling both grief and fulfillment at what she had done. For while
territories were flooded, Packs uprooted, and a few deaths, there was now an
entirely new kind of Varsythe walking the lands and swimming the waters.
You called, and so I came. My job is done, and prosperity shall rule the
land of Zareth come time. Warily, the Spring Goddess, giver and taker
of Life, turned her head towards the looming shadow of Mount Khezid, far
to the North, malevolent and slumbering fitfully in its surreal quiet.
Honor thy Alpha, my friends, and know that the peace shall only be temporary.

Normal RP Guidelines and courtesy should ALWAYS be used during every Meta Event.
There is a Two Varsythe Maximum! You may enter one
Vurfang, and one Vileclaw in the Meta Event. This includes Side-
Quests. Use the same wolves throughout the Event, so choose well♥
Remember to stay on-topic with the current Meta Prompt for any RP that takes place in the official threads, or which is marked as a Meta RP tag
[ M:01 ].
Quote players you are replying to! This is to ensure that the Event
flows smoothing, doesn't lag, and ensures your partners know you've tagged!
If you fail to reply within 24 hours, your post will be skipped until the next
turn. If you know you will be absent for a period of time, PLEASE
leave am OOC note in your latest post, or quote all players you've replied to and let them know OOC.
There will be Vurfang, Vileclaw, and Private RPs accepted for this Meta.
We now have a Meta Points System! Yaaaayy! These points can be used
to enter a Raffle for various wolves at the end of the Meta Event, as well as
a free Moderate-Edit Custom for the Best Player!
