BASICS 20 years old ( August 1st ) / ???sexual & ???romantic / early graduate Enjoys the violin, card games, fencing, fruit, pot roast
PERSONALITY Intelligent, patrician, confident, arrogant, aloof, inexperienced
A very gifted and clever child, Julian has grown up with a mind built for information - and he knows it. He excelled in his classes while in school and rose rapidly, skipping several grades until he graduated from DCU at the age of 18. A young man with an eye for detail, Julian is very forward in his thinking - and yet, this seems to only apply to scholarly subjects and heavy information. He can memorize things very quickly and has a habit of reciting mundane information when he's trying to calm down.
Calm, cool, and collected, Julian is the very epitome of a high bred, sophisticated aristocrat except without the aristocrat part. He is very difficult to ruffle, and is extremely good at maintaining a poker face while suppressing his own feelings and emotions; though this doesn't mean that he doesn't feel them, just that he's good at controlling them. He doesn't lash out blindly or let his emotions get the better of him.
He knows how to handle himself and he knows how to handle situations - at least, some of them. Along with being difficult to ruffle, Julian is a very capable young man. Put him in a difficult situation and he will keep his head held high as he formulates strategies and solutions without batting an eye. Whether or not they are good solutions is dependent upon the situation; he is not, after all, perfect - very far from it, as a matter of fact. He simply lacks shyness and hesitation (most of the time).
Julian has been put on a pedestal ever since he was young. With his intelligence and cleverness, he has always been expected to do great things; except with all of this praise and pressure comes an ego that sincerely needs to be deflated. In spite of his ultimately good heart, buried beneath all of the calmness, he doesn't know how to not be arrogant; it's just simply ingrained in him to believe that he's more intelligent than most.
He was raised on intelligence, not proper social etiquette. Julian does not know how to handle himself among people, especially strangers, and will hold himself apart from them a great deal of the time. It's not uncommon for him to come across as aloof or even cold, because Julian has little idea of how to behave other than what he's been surrounded by for most of his life.
Hand in hand with his lack of proper social upbringing, there are a great many things that Julian has little knowledge about. He can spout off facts and memorization in the blink of an eye, and he knows how to behave in social outings - but beyond a sense of detachment, he has little to no idea of what else to do past a certain point.
HOBBIES Violin - He was given lessons as a child, but stopped playing for quite some time while growing up, mostly due to his focus on schoolwork. The pressure that was put on him to succeed in his education was, in their eyes, necessary for him for a "better future," and most of the time Julian had little time to do any extracurricular activities. However, now that he's graduated and working, he's started up the violin once more.
Card games - Poker, blackjack, any of the old fashioned card games played in English society (yes, he's done research), and Julian will play them. He's good at some, better at others, and particularly bad at the simplest ones (like Go Fish or War), because he over complicates things unnecessarily in his head. But regardless of whether or not he's adept at them, Julian enjoys them and continues to learn as much as he wants.
Fencing - Something he picked up on a whim for one of his extra university courses, Julian takes fencing lessons three times a week at a local gym. He started off slow, but he has a natural talent for the sport, and has since excelled farther than anyone expected due to his slender build and general lack of a great deal of muscle.
HISTORY / FAMILY Julian's parents ran off when he was a child, leaving him to be raised by his very strict English grandparents instead. He has not seen his mother and father at all, and has no interest in learning anything more about them. His grandparents had very high expectations of him, and he learned from a very young age to follow their directions.
At seventeen, Julian moved out of his childhood home and to his own apartment in Destiny City.
Julian is currently the Second Chair Violinist for the Destiny City Orchestra; his contract is seasonal. His primary contract is First Chair Violinist for the King's Crown - a small, elite chamber orchestra hand picked by a wealthy entrepreneur and a group of generous, regular donors. It takes an invitation to even be allowed to audition; however, Julian was chosen after one of the benefactors noticed a solo of his during a production at the DCBC. The King's Crown performs for benefits, balls and other dances, grand openings of major landmarks, private performances, and other such things.

  Senshi Alias: Sailor Hermes
Senshi Element: Trickery
Challenge: Trick or treat?
Senshi Attacks: Fool Me Once: The opponent experiences an unnerving black shadow, disorienting and confusing them. It's nothing more than wispy vapors, but the shape is vaguely and alarmingly familiar (i.e. it FEELS as though they should know who it is, but don't), and Hermes holds no control over his illusion's actions, either at this stage or any other. This attack lasts for 25 seconds and provides a distraction for the opponent three times per battle.
Fool Me Twice: The shadow has now solidified a little and is a replication of Hermes himself; a doppleganger of sorts. It is not corporeal and cannot pick up things or touch people or anything, but it provides a confusing, disorienting distraction for the opponent, making it difficult to tell which Hermes is real. This illusion lasts approximately 35 seconds and can be done twice per battle.
Trickster's Gambit: Hermes can call up to three ghostly dopplegangers of himself, creating the illusion of multiple selves. These cannot attack, but provide distractions and confusion, giving Hermes time to regain strength or attack as he can. The illusion lasts approximately 45 seconds and can be done once per battle.
