Here you can trick or treat for items, battle spirits to help them move on to the after life, and peruse the attractions! For more detailed information, please check out the Announcement Page~!
Sinnoh's Haunted House is located in Eterna Forest, near where the Old Chateau sits. After wandering through the forest, trainers will find themselves at a towering, three-story building. Upon entering, trainers can decide if they'd like to take on one of two available challenges to battle pokemon and gain prizes. The two options are Normal: The pokemon will start at level 15, and increase by 5 as you progress through them. So the first one will be level 15, the next 20, the next 25, and so on. This must be done consecutively, however, you will be allowed to heal your pokemon after the first 5. You may use healing items, however, you are only allowed three regular potions. This challenge may be done once a week.
Mirror Mode: The pokemon's level will match the first pokemon set out against them. Their HP will also be the same, and the exp gained from them will be whatever their mirrored level falls under. For instance, if the pokemon sent out is level 14, the pokemon will be level 14, and, if defeated, will yield 10 exp. You do not have to battle them consecutively, however, you may only battle all eight once a week. You also may not switch pokemon, and if your pokemon faints, you've lost, so choose carefully, and make sure to strategize! To help for those that have lower level pokemon and more limited movesets, we've added in that you will be guaranteed the first move for each battle.
You may only challenge one of these to earn prizes once a week, however, if you like, you may try the other as well, for the exp, but no further prizes will be gained.

Seul thumped to the ground, snorting in surprise. He'd hardly had warning he was going to be teleported! He looked up to check that Riley was okay, and found with surprise that there was a great look of excitement on her face, the likes of which he hadn't seen since that man took Noel and Nima. Seeing this, Seul pushed the girl towards the front doors. Startled out of her reverie, Riley stepped forward into the house.

Riley and Seul stepped inside a bit nervously- there was definitely some spooky energy clinging to the house. There was a small table with a glass top and half-rusted iron curls supporting it by the side of the door. A cracked bowl was filled with oddly bright and pink wrapped candies for Halloween. A card above the bowl read, "Please take a few" so Riley picked three up and dropped them in her pack.

"This is a big house, huh? I guess we should head up to find those ghosts the lady was talking about." Seul nodded in agreement and they made for the huge staircase side by side. "It's pretty dark in here. But...where's that light coming from?" Riley wondered aloud. There was some sunlight filtering through the grimed glass of the windows, but an eerie purple light was flickering off the walls opening on a dining room to the side. Seul suddenly bristled and Riley saw what he had a moment later- a small Litwick was wallowing on the dining table, its candle drooping dangerously close to the dry wood. "That must be one of the ghosts. Seul, use Dark Pulse!" His horn began glowing immediately, and he let out a pulse of darkness parallel to the table that sliced right through the Litwick. "Liiitwiiick..." The little ghost flickered and disappeared.

That litwick seemed to have set off whatever ghosts were haunting this place. Nothing less than a jellicent floated down from below, almost squashing Riley as she hastily leaped away. The ghostly water type was nearly silent in its descent, its tentacles grasping for a victim. It immediately surrounded itself in a sheen of supernatural energy, Magic Coat protection. "Double Dark Pulse, Seul!" Riley cried.

Seul actually didn't have any moves other than Dark pulse that would help, but they still had to keep on there toes- Riley had backed up out of the way of the Jellicent only to find the wall rumbling behind her. Seul leaped forward and slashed with a dark pulse to beat back the reaching hands of a Cofagrigus. Riley shivered and back into the middle of the room, where nothing could catch her unawares.

A Banette came howling down the stairs, hurtling itself end over end to get at the intruders. Seul sent out another dark pulse slash and it hit the landing as two halves ripped in half, stuffing flying, the troubled soul now gone.

Riley could tell the ghosts were starting to get stronger when the Gengar stepped out of the wall and fixed them with a confident glare. Seul quickly wiped the smirk off its face with two swift dark pulses. At this point Riley's ears were buzzing with excitement, her hands clenching and unclenching as she searched the dark house for their next opponent.

When the next ghost appeared, a Duskull, Riley wasn't too worried at first because it was so small. But the negative energy it was radiating was scary... "Be careful, Seul," she cautioned. She was right to be worried- that battle took more out of Seul than the previous ones for sure.

"Yes but that's not until tomorrow when I can try again.""Yes but you left before taking all of your rewards, you also get your choice of some food." Thanking her he took a few of the food items, put them away, climbed onto Noivern and they were off.

Du stood dazed for a moment while the world faded from a blinding light to something far more dark and dreary with the sudden shifting of the world around her. Du blinked a few times, still stunned by what had just happen only to find that things just felt… different. And it wasn’t just in the atmosphere either. Her face felt heavy as though she had make-up on and she certainly didn’t feel like she had the clothes on that she was wearing this morning. Looking down, Du discovered that she wasn’t wearing the same clothes that she had on before she was teleported here, just as she had thought. Red would have stained her cheeks if it wasn’t covered up with a heavy amount of make-up. Du didn’t know how it happened or when but she found herself dressed for an evening of trick-or-treating and in the front of a very eerie looking place. Lightning licked the skies to create a flashing silhouette of the house for a brief moment before the thunder rolled over and caused the wind to pick up and blow the leaves into a dancing momentum around Du. Du shivered, the costume that she had found herself in wasn’t the warmest and she was quickly finding her way towards the door with some trepidation in her steps. She was suddenly wishing that she just stayed home. The wood looked rotted almost beyond repair, leaving the black, decayed look of the bare essence of the lumber in its wake. Broken windows were boarded over and the door looked as though it hadn’t been opened in forever. Du reached out to the rusted, pitted doorknob to give it a twist when the door suddenly popped open to half of a face of a beautiful woman who looked as though she was almost expecting Du to arrive. The interior was well lit despite the fact that from the outside this place was just as dead as a stump from the outside.
”Well, hello there, are you here for the Haunted house tour?”
Dumuzi’s eyes quirked upwards and she blinked a couple of times. ”Yeah, I guess?”
”Welcome, come in then, and I love your costume! So darling.”
”Thanks?” Du wasn’t sure what to make of this place at the moment, but so far the interior seemed pleasant, maybe they had blocked out the windows or something to create the illusion for the tour? Or maybe there was just some odd trick of the light or something? Du wasn’t sure if this was something that she could rationalize right away. Small groups of people had all gathered together and were looking forwards to getting started. The woman walked towards the head of the group and clapped a couple of times to get everyone’s attention.
Something didn’t really sit right with Du, there was just this uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach that something was wrong and she just couldn’t shake it. She couldn’t see anything wrong, but senses could be deceived and maybe that’s what was making Du feel off and uncomfortable. Apparently there were some restless spirits here for her to help out but… she certainly didn’t see anything that was out of the ordinary. In fact, she was half expecting that this ghost tour was going to be bedsheets and wires to try and scare the guests here. Maybe that was the problem? The tour guides were upsetting the spirits? It seems harmless enough though. Du decided to come along with the group and started to listen to the doom and gloom history of the house and what happened with some of the other passerby’s who let their despair over live get the better of them. Du was kind of skeptical about some of the stories, some of them were pretty farfetched while others did seem to be more credible than others. It was something that Du was pondering over while she was looking for those restless spirits that were being talked about, but this house seemed decidedly unhaunted. It was so strange, but Du kept her ears open and her senses on high alert. The tour winded on until finally they came into a rather run down looking room where the tour guide stopped and started to recite another macabre tale when the atmosphere of the room shifted and everyone –including the tour guide seemed to be placed on high alert- The door slammed shut all on its own and ghost pokemon started to crawl out of the walls and floor while leaving ectoplasmic strings the clung to them desperately while until they were too far away from their original hiding spot. There was an aura of malice about these pokemon, and murderous intent oozed from their faces, no matter how cute they were or were not. Du took some steps back and brought her fist to her sternum in a bit of a panic. All of these ghost pokemon looked way too strong for her to take on by herself. Even her strongest pokemon had no chance against them, and they were just within her obedience levels for them. Already trainers were taking out their pokeballs and starting to launch them to release their trusted friends and pokemon while Du could only look on with regret. Du stopped with her back to an old mirror that was in the room. ”I… can’t do anything to help. They’re all so strong!”

Dumuzi frozen for a heartbeat before the glass of the mirror shattered from behind, casting the freed shards forwards and in front of Dumuzi while a pair of decaying arms wrapped around her and pulled her backwards. Putrification was all that Dumuzi could smell as fleshless fingers held onto her as she started on her unwelcomed journey into the unknown. The Mirror shards suddenly slow stop then started to go back into their original position as though a movie was in reverse or nothing had ever happened at all, leaving only the sounds of Du’s screaming to remain lingering in the room for a few moments, giving the only indication that she was ever there to begin with.

Du stirred painfully on the floor, her vision was slowly starting to come back to her as she vowed to herself that she was never going to enter another haunted house for as long as she was a live. ”I totally should have stayed in bed today…” Du groaned painfully as she sat up and got her bearings in this dark. Du looked around but saw little to nothing in the pitch black room. She slowly stood up and looked around for a moment trying to see where the creature was who stole her away from the haunted house.
Well well, look who’s finally started to wake, Too bad she won’t believe what’s all at stake. Can we finally start this game? It may help this Coordinator’s rise to fame.
Blue lights started to flicker alive from seemingly nowhere and the room was slowly illuminated towards one direction with an eerie azure haze that barely illuminated the surrounds, and yet it gave enough light to outline what was around her. Three figures were all in various positions the figure who had just spoke was far more spectral than their counter parts. Judging by the outfit that they were in, they looked to be a grandiose trainer or perhaps even a Coordinator himself. With no flesh or bones to speak of, the figure certainly looked far more appealing than the other two the still possessed their corpses.
”She looks so boo-ring, I’m not sure if I want to waste my time with challenging this one. He pokemon are so weak…”
Du’s attention snapped over to the other voice and saw a woman who looked as though she had an unclean death. She could see the knife wounds that impacted her body and left their vicious killing marks on her person, her arms and legs had decayed right off to their elbows and knees respectively and blotches of her face were also eaten away, most likely from the maggots that still popped in and out of her flesh. Her eyes held a milky gaze that death would bring with him. The woman descended down the stairs, on heel clicking on the rotting wooden staircase while she bobbed down on the second step, she had clearly lost one of her heels. Perhaps she lost it in the altercation that cost her spark of life? Du could only make assumptions right now, and she wasn’t sure if she wanted to make this spirit angry by asking needless questions.
”Now-now, we can work with this one, can we not? I mean it’s not like the breathing is totally useless when it comes to pokemon, she has her first badge, does she not?” ’I feel this conversation has no point, Shall we get on with this so we can leave this joint? We have limited time to get out of our mess, Do we really have time for our thoughts to regress? If we want to leave, we’re under the gun, Now for pity sakes, let’s get on with the fun!’ ”Very well, I’ll be in my Boo-dair when she’s ready… if she gets there.”
To say that Dumuzi was confused was a bit of an understatement. She listened to the back and forth between these three ghost and pieced together that they were the ones who needed help. Du looked really unsure yet about what was going on but the specter seemed to take the lead of the female ghoul and disappeared into the floor boards of the house. Oh boy… she was actually going to have to hunt down these ghosts wasn’t she? This was not going to be her idea of fun. The remaining Ghoul seemed to be waiting on her to acknowledge him a little better and she turned to face him. He was in something of a purple dress suit, complete with a top hat, his hair was wispy and had fallen out in clumps at this point in time. The sides of his face had been dissolved in vertical strips along his cheeks to the bottom of his jaw. He had only one eye that seemed rather lose in his skull, though it was a lot clearer than that of the woman who had retreated not long ago.
”Welcome, my little Sugar Skull, I have the pleasure to officially greet you to the challenge that you will face here. I am one of your three hosts that will be giving you your challenge. Win, and you get out of here. Lose, and you’ll join us forever in our hauntings, waiting for the next trainer to come and beat all of us so we can be set free.”The Ghost turned his head to the right and his eye rolled over into the right socket where it rocked back and forth for a moment before it twitched to a stop.”You’re missing something though… ah! I got it. Here, take this, it is Halloween after all, and our ghostly companions just love trick or treaters.”
Du was tossed a rather old and somewhat ratty sake in her direction, she knelt down and picked it up when she realized something. ”Hey… this is my old trick-or-treat bag from when I was a kid…” She recognized this bag, it even had that orange patch where her brother cut her bag one year so she couldn’t get more candy than him. She remembered crying over that and her brother getting grounded for Halloween so he couldn’t get any candy at all. She looked up as she got into a standing position again. ”But how did you…?” ”Sometimes, favoured things find their way back to us… now. Let’s have some fun. But first: What do you say?”Du blinked a few times. ”Trick or treat?” That’s a good Sugar skull.”And with that, the Ghoul faded into the darkness of the house to leave Dumuzi alone with her old bag and her thoughts to ponder over. Something in the bag moved a little, causing Du to look down into the bag, a pair of eyes looked back up at her expectingly. She got a Cleffa! And not just any sort of Cleffa, a shiny one at that. The little pokemon jumped out of the bag and latched onto her, obviously happy to get out of the bag and into some fresh air. Du didn’t imagine that the bag smelled very good at this point in time. Dumuzi looked up though and a worried expression caught her face, what was she going to do now? Where was she going to go? Well, she guess that finding the ghost was her top priority, she certainly didn’t want to be stuck here for the rest of eternity.
