KImberly was walking down the abandoned highway, thinking of things that she could take note of and share back when and if she made it out of here. There had to be some information about the various creatures and the thorns of this place. Nothing here made sense in as far as he briefing had tried to prepare her. The place was more than slightly over run, it was decimated by the creeping vines and strange infections.

Nothing appeared around her as she headed down the stretch of highway blocked with a lot of cars. Stowing the man she had rescued into a car, she looked up and down the road wondering just what she was going to face later. Earlier she had found the shadows and blobs when others had been in the area, but this time it was barren. How unusual.

After getting a few things for her human and chatting with Carlos for a while, Camilla wanders off again. Despite just gathering some supplies, she still felt like her Human could use more.
As she wanders around, Camilla couldn't help but frown at the despairing state of the area...This world or this city at least... It was in total ruin... Had the horse creature done all this...? Or... No... It couldn't be... He was sealed away long ago, right?
As Camilla muses on this and the despairing state of everything, -- her inner Mouseshirean was crying! So much property damage... -- she comes across a large pile of cars that seemed like it was piled a little too high to be natural... "Hm..." she hums thoughtfully as she wondered if she should shrink down and dig through the ruin cars to see if she could find anything useful. After a moment, she nods decisively, however, before she could act on what she decided, the oddest creature came scurrying out from inside the pile of cars!
"Oh! Hi" she chirps cheerfully towards the curious creature that apparently walked on all fours... Backwards... The creature, despite Camilla's obviously friendly greeting, didn't seem to pleased to see her... Despite it's wicked smile and green eyes, it growls ominously at her before gashing it's teeth a bit... Oh dear...

Kari had to say she wasn't a fan of cars. Her convertible was way too temperamental! If she went too fast, it made a grinding noise under the hood. Too slow, it whined. After a while, she had found a good speed to cruise at that wouldn't make so much noise that would attract unwanted attention, but it had been at the cost of her patience. If it weren't for the human woman laying in the passenger seat, she would have lit the stupid thing in frustration and walked long before now.
Coming down the long stretch, Kari found cars stacked upon one another like towers. It didn't seem like a natural formation, but there was nothing to tell how the cars had arrived in that state. Getting out of the car, Kari left her human behind at the sound of growling.
As she feared, one of the crawling things was there. It was skittering towards...
"Camilla?"
What was she doing here? Had she been roped into this mission thing too? Even worse, it seemed she was under attack

The gashing teeth and growl quickly told Camilla this 'thing' wasn't friendly... It actually reminded her of one of the Shadowlings from the Knight Dreams...
Soon, the Creature starts making false jumps at her like it was going to attack her! At first, Camilla pointed the fishing rod at the creature, however she changes her mind last second and tucks it into the red bag as much as it would fit before sliding into a battle pose! She didn't want to damage her human's new weapon...
Seeing Camilla take a offensive stance was all the creature needed to attack! It screeches before lunging at her and Camilla was just about to lunge out of the way when her sensitive ears picked up a familiar voice saying her name! "Kar- Eep!" she says softly in a surprise tone before yelping as that split second of inattention caused her to lower her guard enough so that the creature could wrap it's teeth around her arm!
"Owie! Let go!" she yelps before swinging her arm to try and dislodge the creature! It's teeth, surprisingly, didn't hurt all that much, but she didn't want it chewing on her arm for any longer then necessary... Finally, it lets go and goes flying off back into the car tower! It didn't take long for it to return though...

Wow... some help Kari was. All Kari managed to do was trip over an empty beer bottle and land on her face. The only thing that would have made it worse would have been breaking her weapon.
"Who the Jack put that there?," the reaper grumbled as she crawled to her feet.

"Take this!," Kari cried out as she stabbed her rod into the creature, eliciting a mix of a growl and a wail from it. That's what it got for putting its mouth where it didn't belong!
"Would you care to give the final blow?," the ghoul inquired as she grimaced at Camilla's bite wound. That had to sting.

Camilla winces as she watches poor Kari trip over a old bottle and fall on her face... She was about to go over and see if she was alright when the creature decided to attack Kari! Fortunately, it Kari seemed to got up fast enough and did some major damage to the creature! "Yay Kari!" she cheers before sliding into her battle pose.
She knew she wouldn't need to hit it much more before it was gone, so she didn't bother focusing that much, she simply lunges forwards and delivers a good punch to the creature's middle! It screeched angrily but before catching her tail in it's teeth and chomping down!" "Eek!" she squeaks as a slight jolt of pain runs through her tail before the creature disappeared fully "Why always the tail..." she mumbles softly with a pout before turning to Kari with a smile "Thanks!" she chirps.

After the creature disappeared, Camilla glances at the spot where it fell. She was disappointed to only see one item where the creature had been... It didn't take her long to decide who should have it. "You should have the item. Heh, you did more damage!" she says cheerfully with a merry tailwag!

"It's no good... it's only an empty shell. Completely useless," replied the ghoul as she picked it up to shake the vacant container.
Kimberly blinked and looked around. What the? Seemed like someone decided to come to the area she was at, and they... hnn, they killed something. Shucks she missed it.
She muttered to herself and looked for something to kill. She decided before she hunted though, to see what had came to the area.... one appeared to be a mouse? How interesting, actually it looked kind of cute, reminded her of her pet rat...

Nothing.. there seemed to be nothing at all worth fighting around here, and the one thing that had been worth fighting had already been taken care of. This sucked.. she almost felt like throwing a hissy fight.... almost.
The Hunter sighed and sat down on the hood of a car and looked at the other beings around, wondering if they had even noticed she was here.
Camilla was about to approach Kari when 'something' slithered up from the pile of cars!
The shadow thing zips up to Camilla and stops just short of her before beginning to take shape! "Eep!" she squeaks in surprise before taking a instinctive step back! The shadow the black mass took... Soon was identical to Camilla in every way except for it's more ghostly appearance and malicious grin!
"Pathetic little mouse! So weak and helpless!" the shadow her says darkly with a sneer! "H-hey!" she protests with a pout as the creature begins laughing at her!
With her attention off the crawler, Kari noticed another presence. "Hey Camilla, there's someone over there," the reaper whispered, her eyes locking onto the coat in apprehension, "It looks like a hunter. You think we'll be okay?"
Whatever her answer was became inconsequential as a shadow in the Dormouse's likeness appeared. Going on the offensive, her lack of sufficient preparation was evident in her poor aim. Its method of retaliation left her feeling queasy as well.
"Ugh... don't let it touch you...," the ghoul shuddered as she jumped back a bit.

Well it seemed that for some reason, there were suddenly two shadow creatures attacking at once. Kimberly's lips twitched and she shifted just enough to look at the second one. Hnn, one mouse shadow, one human. Looks like there was going to be fun to be had after all.
