A sand whale has been spotted nearing the village sand harbour!. These creatures are extremely unfriendly and have been known to swallow entire buildings. Ring the gong, fire bombs, throw ballistas, do what you can to stop the sand whale!
- The sand whale has 200/200 HP. When it hits 150 HP it will leave and swim away.
- At the start of the battle roll 1d6. This is the amount of ballista shots your character gets. Every time you use a ballista shot, you do a perfect 10 HP damage.
- The sand whale does an automatic -1 damage to you every time you attack the sand whale.
- If you run out of ballista shots, roll 1d6 again to gather more. However, each time you gather more the sand whale hits you for -5 damage!
gaia_star If you thwart the sand whale it drops a whale fin, it is considered a quest item. Add it to your quest item list.

Having heard that they needed help on the beach front, Sayael moved to collect ballistas and perhaps use any other weapons, eyeing the cannons out of the corner of her eyes.
Those were some nice cannons. She might even get to fire one...

It didn't start off with a gentle pitter-patter of scattered raindrops. One moment the dark sky was churning, the next moment the area became drenched in a sudden downpour. No thunder boomed overhead; the only sound aside from the hissing rain was the soft whisper of the wind.
A whisper which grew into a howling shriek as the fog grew thicker, and it arrived.
Of course it would be a dragon. In stories it was always a dragon of some sort, wasn't it? This particular dragon is large and gray like the fog surrounding Misama Village. The rain doesn't seem to fall on it. Rather it falls in an area around it, as if it warded off the rain through the sheer force of its will.
The dragon throws back its head and unleashes a roar loud enough to stop the rain for one, two, heartbeats. The roar fades, and the rain resumes with a greater vengeance. You will not be able to complete this quest while this encounter is active.

When the rain rolled in for a second time, Sayael yelled up into the sky.
"Oh, COME ON!"
The raindrops plastered the rain to her face and left her soaking wet, her tulle on the bottom of her dress sagging. Her fruits hung heavy off of her branches and it left her feeling rather waterlogged, a feeling she did not appreciate unless she had been swimming.
And being drenched in the rain did not count as swimming.
Having a quest thwarted once was hazard enough, but having two quests thwarted? This dragon must have had a bone to pick with her.
The faerie didn't attack, jerking and letting out a grunt as the dragon's tail lashed her way, sending her flopping to the ground in a rather haphazard manner.
She struggled to get up, the sand whales and ballistas forgotten - for the moment.

Managing to get up, Sayael let out a halfhearted cry, latching onto the tail when it hit her again, scraping her clawlike fingers into the tail as deeply as she could go. She left welt marks and could tell in the rain that she drew blood... but the faerie couldn't tell much more than that with such heavy weather.
Dropping off of the tail, she stood hunched over, fingers curled as she stood in a battle stance, silently telling the dragon that she was one faerie that shouldn't be messed with.

Sayael wasn't about to give up, but she felt that this was a losing battle. With each strike she did, the dragon did twice as much damage.... and the dragon knew it.
She still held her ground, lashing out and just barely grazing the dragon as it flew by, hissing in pain as it knocked her against a wall. Saya felt another branch break, and fought back a cry of pain as she stepped forward, looking even more haggard than she had a few moments ago.

Rain. Instantly, Uru had ran outside to see what was going on. Brenna hated rain... it ruined her hair. But Uru loved it. He ran and ran as fast as he could until he saw what was causing in. And Andrew was right there.
"ANDREW!" He roared through the downpour. He was attacking the dragon and the dragon was attacking him! The demon's mind fell into his offensive mode as he went out to the dragon.
The hellhound smashed into the demon's thigh with a grunt, letting lose helpless blows. Well, compared to its immensity.
"Why is a flame demon doing in the jacking rain?" He cried.

Jumping up from the ground, Uru dashed forward with a jab against the dragon's scaly hide. What bothered him the most was that he wasn't being acknowledged. The only sort of strain (damage) he was sustaining was from this creature's wing buffets. Sure, it was probably just flapping its humongous wings just to keep itself afloat, but come on, at least growl at the demon!
If only he could utilize his FEAR. He could freeze the area around him, he could freeze this dragon, he could freeze the air to create the rain into icicles... but that could end up hurting the others nearby. He glanced over at them and then to the dragon. This was like the Sand Whale. Will it go away if they pester it enough? Pester because that was all they were able to really do. With a growl, he slashed at the dragon.
